Camping Austin Texas | McKinney Falls State Park

- In The early spring of 2023 we loaded up Trudy Thunder the Super C RV and headed down south to do some camping Austin Texas. To be more specific we spent some time camping at McKinney Falls State Park.
Located just 20 min from downtown Austin McKinney Falls State Park is a beautiful state park that features something for everyone! Hiking and biking trails are everywhere! In addition to the trails there are two swimming holes along Onion creek below the two different waterfalls. There are two different day use areas that are perfect for spending the day relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet created by the creek channels.
If you are wanting to do some camping Austin Texas then you really want to consider visiting McKinney Falls State Park and this video is intended to provide you with an overview of all of the stuff you will find in McKinney Falls state Park.

Wow. Lots of interesting things this state parks. I love limestone country. The old home place looks great. The field of bluebonnets at the end withe the dark clouds behind was beautiful. Thanks for the tour. 👏👍
I really wish I had gone down to that area on the afternoon of our arrival when there were no clouds and the sum was bright. Man that would have been a great shot! McKinney Falls is a wonderful SP lots to see and do! Thanks so much for watching!

as close are you are ,,,I'd sure think a trip to Lockhart for BBQ would be in order,,,,but it IS habit forming,,,,but it's worth it ! ( Oh , there are at least three very old establishments for BBQ right there in Lockhart, try them all !)
When I camped Lockhart State Park I had some famous BBQ and I was really disappointed. Seems that I must have visited the town on an off day. Thanks for watching!

I went to McKinney Falls State Park a couple of weeks ago and yeah, some of the sites to picnic table so far away it's really quite silly. It's a beautiful park as far as the scenery and stuff is concerned. I hope the weather is going to warm up because I was planning on going to the meet up at Lake Whitney but if it's gonna be in the 20s I may cancel because I'm in a small cargo van I don't have a heater I can run all night anyway hope to see you there. I just realized this video is nine months old. I thought I was clicking on a new video. Oh well bye for now.
Right now the long term forecast is showing clear sky's and lows in the 50s! I do hope we get to meet!
