You are an amazing guy, Mr. Jenny. My dad was a veterinarian, and I was working at age 10 cleaning kennels and going with him on farm calls in the middle of the night in rural NC. We always had critters around the house too, but my favorites were cats. There is something very special about the bond with cats. I'm 67 now, and I treasure that bond every day with my whiskered boys.
Justin you are the true catch!! Such a softie for Chester!! So funny when you cut the camera to "I caved" I almost fell over in my chair!! Love the airtag idea... That way you can't lose him in the woods or anywhere else... I honestly don't think you have anything to worry about when it comes to him running off. He loves you so much and he loves his new life indoors. No way is he gonna leave you!! So glad we finally got to see the day you captured Ernie!!
You are a very special person, Justin. I also think Chester and Ernie chose you. I like following your episodes of the land and am looking forward to seeing you finally live there one day in the cabin you build. Take care.
Sweet Ernie and his lovely chirp: I love the sound of his voice. Welcome to the family Ernie: we know you opted for life with Chester and Justin. Happy sweet family you have Justin. Great job. 🎉👏👏😻❤
Part of the Russian Blue blood is Siamese. That's where that distinctive voice comes from. I have a Blue boy, and I know. Boy, do I know ! He talks, and you have to listen !
I was so touched by this video. Right from the beginning it looked like Ernie was sitting out there waiting for you and he started chirping at you as soon as you got out of the truck. I love the way he was talking to you. He had a lot saved up to tell you. I think it was the perfect time to get him. You did an amazing job getting him into that carrier and staying very calm and not hurting him. And it was very kind of you to let him out so he didn’t have to stay in the cage overnight. I think he’s a very happy kitty now. And I think he picked you to be his person, I think he was waiting for you to come back and it wasn’t because he was just hungry because his feeder was half full. You are amazing.
Justin, you are a real special human. You are making a pretty sweet life for yourself and your boys. I can see and feel the love you have for them. I have 2 girl kittys and Id take a bullet for either one. I love them with my whole heart. I cant wait to watch your next adventure
Justin your so kind and you have a sweet loving heart. You can tell your dad his love got passed on to you. God has passed the love around to two good men. Bless you both.
We have rescued a few ferals and strays. The strays we rehomed. One we kept. It took forever to tame him, but now he is an adventure cat. We can even take him to our cabin and let him explore (on a leash). It is always so stressful when you first trap them. I am so glad the Ernie found a good and loving home with you and came around to being a house cat. Outdoor cats have such hard lives. He is a sweet boy that deserves love and Chester is the coolest cat ever!
I know the outcome.....but still watching this it made my heart race. I love Ernie ( aka bat girl) he is a special and sweet deaf cat. I am so glad he found you Justin. He needed someone who cared so much to be and patient and that is what you are. You are a true gem of a person ;)
I just love the way Chester knows he is Royal, and always has to sit at that more superior level! Love him. Hope BatGirl ends up happy, whether wild or with you.
Yay! That was a fairly calm cat entrapment. Ernie used less back claw. Glad you had those gloves. Your little moon circle spot will be beautiful at night when the wall is done and the trees grow. Amazing episode.
Ernie; " If you stop calling me Batgirl, I'll jump right in your truck !" Chester; " Yeah dad, stop jumping to conclusions ! You know i'd be giving him a lot more attention !"
Thank you Justin.....this episode closes the circle on how you managed to 'persuade' Ernie to move in with you and Chester! I don't think Ernie was ever feral though .....an 'outside farm cat' yes, but not feral. He would ever have allowed you to stroke him had he been wild. I wonder whether the previous owner also had Ernie but he wasn't allowed inside so was fed and habituated to humans outside the home. He definitely has made progress in the time he's lived with you and Chester, but it's likely he'll never be a 'sleep on your bed with you' type of cat. It'll be interesting to see how he reacts, having the option to be inside or outside, once you've built your cabin and are living on the land. Thank you again and also for rescuing and loving those two beautiful fluffballs.
Wow, you put her in the kennel with ease! My vet taught me to put the kennel upright, and drop them in carefully. My cat is not feral, and I struggled every single time getting him in the kennel, before that trick. Thanks for doing what you do, Justin! ❤
Ernie has the sweetest little voice! Being deaf is such a frightening disability in the wild, which is even more incredible to be so open go your help. You literally saved that angel ❤ Loe you Justin - you're an earth angel 😇
Omg! He's so hungry...I live in apts where people dump cats! I have one cat of my own...nursed a farm cat back to health last year and now he has a home and then last summer I started socializing an 8 month old abandoned kitten and now he's part of the pack and doesn't want to go outside! Lol...
this was like watcing a thriller movie where you know the ending but still on the edge of your seat. chester and ernie are awesome and so are you justin. i doubt either of these little guys was ever really feral, probably just outdoors most of their lives. but it sure is good to know they're safe inside now. thanks again for sharing your adventures. >^;^
You are like the _CAT WHISPERER!_ I used to do cat rescue.. I did it for almost 3 years... So my 2 cents is, if you throw a towel over the cats head when you catch a cat, , it calms them down because they can"t see what is going on. Also if you stand the cat carrier up... it's easier to drop them in rather than trying to shove them in and they don't see the carrier to know they are going into one with the towel over their head. you can also hold the towel down around their front paws to keep them from clawing at you. P.s.. Did you ever think of having t-shirts made up that say-- I am here for the cats? Or I watch because of Chester??
I have shirts available in the link to my store in the description of all my videos! I really appreciate your support. Rescuing cats has been a huge learning experience and given me a learning lesson in patience.
I know you said you wanted to plant some hydrangeas in your property, but the only time I was in Vermont the lilacs were blooming everywhere and it was lovely so hope you'll have at least one lilac bush.. Also the black flies were biting, so there's good and bad. P.S. Love the fire pit idea with the trees surrounding it.
Even though we k ow Ernie is home now , still, its such a relief watching you bringing him home! Yes you did well. See ? No worries. And that was a great video of the work at the land, as usual. Thank you for great television !
Batgirl has lived with someone before. She is just scared about being stuck. She will decompress in a small room over about a week or two and be a whole new cat.
Yeah, you would think that's what would happen. Now we know Batgirl turned out to be Ernie, and 6 months later, he has just barely started to get comfortable living with Justin and Chester. We're all on Ernies timetable now. Lol. 🐈🐈⬛
Right, you can tell the difference between a born ferral cat and one that has been around humans before. A ferral cat would never have gotten close to him. It would take forever to tame them.
Well done, Justin!!! Great suggestion to line the bottom of the trap with cardboard. Chester (what a sweetheart!) seems to be fine with new girl/boy in the trailer so all will be ok! Got lots done as always and with Nick’❤😊s help. That stonewall is pretty exciting! Great Christmas week!
Great gotcha day and yes I would have felt guilty for taking away his freedom, better yet, life outside for them is hard. I hope after all that food and treats he ate, he found the litter box at some.point!!!
Chester is a remarkable cat I just can't believe how chill he is around all the other cats. That is absolutely not normal! Lol been waiting for months for this episode. Ernie is such a sweet boy. It broke my heart to see him so shaken up and breathing so heavily. But it comforts me knowing he is doing much better now:) Justin if u ever get in that situation again if you slow blink at a unknown cat they will know you are not a threat. And sometimes* it's easier to put the carrier on it's back end standing up right and if you just lower them in like that.
Thanks for sharing this video story. Oh my goodness every time Justin opens his video with the king 👑 Chester in it at the beginning, the way he looks at you, my heart is melted ❤. 😊 Is BatGirl related to Ernie at all ? They look a like ❤️.😊 can’t wait to see the three buddies together ❤❤❤
you “ scruff “ them and the usually do not fight. just like when their mom’s carried them around. thank you for taking care of the cats on your land. so often people dump cats thinking it is ok they can “survive” on their own. for a cat raised as a house cat that is so far from the truth. plus coyotes are one of the worse things around! they reproduce like rabbits!
She isn't close to Feral. Trust me. Feral cats won't come that close to you. They cone out at night. They don't give high fives for treats or let you pet them. She is no different than the average house cat that doesn't want to be put in a carrier.
Is the dstove door opened while burning wood only to show us the fire ? Wood will burn slowe , your fire will last longer, if the door is closed. And stacking the logs upon one another, not camp fire style, the fire will stay longer.
batgirl maybe a British Shorthair blue, I have a female her name is Queenie. Your girl looks like mine, they are a more chunky cat compared to the Russian blue and British shorthairs have those distinctive golden eyes when they mature. Either way she is gorgeous and great that you are going to look after her. Hello from Australia.

I've only heard my cats chirp at critters. I liked how Ernie does that to communicate in general in this video.
Yes, I noticed that too. On another video, I have seen a cat chirping with his dad but only one. I thought that was very interesting and sweet.
I was so touched by this video. Right from the beginning it looked like Ernie was sitting out there waiting for you and he started chirping at you as soon as you got out of the truck. Well put! I thought the same. Well done Justin.

love of animals is a great joy
Ernie before he was Ernie ❤❤❤
Justin your so kind and you have a sweet loving heart. You can tell your dad his love got passed on to you. God has passed the love around to two good men. Bless you both.
Sure wish everyone would do what you do for the cats ! Thank you again infinity Justin
Oh i been waiting for this episode since the shorts came out on Ernies gotya day.
Chester is so gracious.
And Ernie's chirps is sweet ❤

Your little moon circle spot will be beautiful at night when the wall is done and the trees grow. Amazing episode.
@dewalt sponsor our guy already!!
Thank you Justin, for being so kind to these Cats.
Ernie; " If you stop calling me Batgirl, I'll jump right in your truck !" Chester; " Yeah dad, stop jumping to conclusions ! You know i'd be giving him a lot more attention !"
"I love you already." Awww.
I know u feel bad we do the same. Its so hard to see them distressed. U set a great examples for good humans!😊

Your spirit warms my soul.
Thanks!
Good job Justin! The gray cat was wild! But you got her! You cat daddy!
Ernies chirping is so moving
I love that "creaky gate" chirrup Ernie has. My first cat used to chat like this. Was an entire conversation sometimes
Great quote from Anatole France, and we all can relate...❤

That's a great Christmas day! Awesome.
Ernie 🩶🩶🩶
Batgirl 😂..so cute
I think your the cat whisper
Justin. Great video. Longer length but the time just flew by.
That was soooo good ❤
She's got the cutest meow!
Nicely done..as we already know…Ernie is a happy boy with a wonderful, safe new life with a brother and super great cat daddy….❤
I guess we can call "The Land" Chester's Kitty Rescue Center. The Catio will prove very useful. Since it was Christmas, Merry Ho Ho Ho !!
The rescue of Ernie has gotten more views than the average. We like Ernie.
Cool... been waiting to see this one!
Wow! What an episode. You've done an amazing job with Ernie. You have wonderful patience and calmness.

I came bc of Chester stayed bc of Justin. Just saying lol

I don’t think Richard ever saw a spot that wasn’t better covered with junk😫Justin, I love your vision of the land.
You need to take Cooper home next. You did a great job with this rescue.
Great work Justin! Another rescued cat!
Thankfully you got batgirl... looking forward to the next episode. ❤
Thanks Justin for saving the cats, you will have lots of protection from them❤
I know you said you wanted to plant some hydrangeas in your property, but the only time I was in Vermont the lilacs were blooming everywhere and it was lovely so hope you'll have at least one lilac bush.. I understand the stress Justin , been there done that !!
You are the best Dad!
I love fieldstone & cement walls!! Nice to make little pockets in it too, here & there, to add flowers, small plants, moss.
Even though we k ow Ernie is home now , still, its such a relief watching you bringing him home! Yes you did well. See ? No worries.
And that was a great video of the work at the land, as usual. Thank you for great television !

Her meower sounds broken but it's cute!
She's so pretty look at her golden eyes and she's like ee ee ee ee tiny little eeks away I totally understand 💖
Great gotcha day and yes I would have felt guilty for taking away his freedom, better yet, life outside for them is hard.
I hope after all that food and treats he ate, he found the litter box at some.point!!!
Them squeaks are so unique 😅
They are so frickin cute. I love his chirp/squeak!
Chester is a remarkable cat I just can't believe how chill he is around all the other cats. That is absolutely not normal! Lol been waiting for months for this episode. Ernie is such a sweet boy. Jeez...that episode gave me so much anxiety. Even when you know the outcome...
You're a good soul. They will work it out. Is Bat Girl eventually Elmer? Chester is very vocal by a tail that never stops.
Ernie😊 and yes
When “Ernie” was being caught for ride home, my ginger cat was watching the TV like he was watching a suspenseful movie! 😂
Same! My cats, esp my russian blue, were so concerned!! I was right there with Justin going 'It's okay! It's okay!!' 😅
I can't wait for my lunch break so that I can watch this video!!🥰❤️👑🐈❤️🐈⬛❤️🐾🐾🐾🐾
Thanks for sharing this video story. Oh my goodness every time Justin opens his video with the king 👑 Chester in it at the beginning, the way he looks at you, my heart is melted ❤. 😊 Is BatGirl related to Ernie at all ? They look a like ❤️.😊 can’t wait to see the three buddies together ❤❤❤
Batgirl is ernie😊
@wakeup2087 Hi, Thanks for your reply 😊.
One of my favorite parts are the quotes at the beginning. I write down a few because I collect other peoples wisdom. Got to get it somewhere, right?
@cherylkruisheer3365 Hi, i agree, that right. Something special ✨️ about the quote 👍👍. It's inspired to everyone ✨️
Good job in the intervention!!!
was worried! really look forward to your uploads Justin!
Those yellow eyes!
Poor thing is just scared. She will warm up. I’ve seen waaaay worse.
Yeahhh !
You need a small poker for the fire, instead of putting your whole hand in the stove, when putting in new logs especially.
Hero!💪🏽💪🏽🙌🏽
Justin, what's that called you got on Chester?
An air tag, so he can trace Chester in case he gets lost.
Does not sound feral.
Feral would be silent.
CHRISTMAS!!!!!!! It's JUNE.....
you “ scruff “ them and the usually do not fight. just like when their mom’s carried them around.

❤🇬🇧
do I see a "Chester Cam" ???
Canned food!!!

That’s fair, I’m learning!

❤❤❤❤❤❤💋💋💋💋💋💋
I’m worried about her in the box in the back of your truck. I hope she has enough oxygen.
Lots of airflow in the my truck bed, it’s not sealed well! She is actually a he it turns out and he made it just fine and is living large now!
Is that clock 10 am or 10 pm ?
I don't know why you stressed about the plastic. You could have just waited 20-450 years for it to decompose naturally
