Thanks for the info, but can you tell me why my Firestick is turning off after 3 or 4 hours? It never did before and just started recently. I've checked all the setting menu's and haven't found anything obvious? I also rebooted it several times. I haven't reset it to factory yet. I checked the TV setting too, but the TV stays on and the Firestick shuts down. Maybe it's just time to get a new one.

I normally force stop most of my apps at the same time I clear cache.

It's a new power saving feature. You can turn it off. It's right in settings.
