PFoZ is an international internet based Led Zeppelin tribute band. We record and film our own versions of Led Zeppelin songs and post them to UA-cam for entertainment and educational purposes. Special guests include Professor Obs-Tweedle, keyboardists, the occasional rock star, and of course Nola and Zuzu.
    We are:
    Ivan Jakic - Guitar
    George Fludas - Drums
    Pete Etxenike - Bass
Not to be confused with The Zeppelin People's Front.

This one is really special because it’s been around so long I think from Led Zeppelin II anyway great song starts out so nice and mellow and ends with a bang.

One of my all time fav JPJ lines. Would love a focused video on the bass part, like you did for Achilles 🤘🏾😁

One thing that always seems to be missing from Zep covers is something you guys possess, and that's conviction.

This was the first Zeppelin cover that my Teenage Band ever performed. 20 years ago. This brought me right back to that. My drummer even had the mallet for the gong, and everything. We all just cracked up!

I like both books on Bonzo !! the one written by his brother Mick was also a great read !! What a legend the man was.......its sad because I think he died not truly understanding how was much he was loved and respected by not just the fans of LED-ZEPPELIN but also the admiration he had from all the fellow musicians who understood how important he was to the bands formula.

To George: How are you mic'ing that 26" kick drum?? I was just in the studio with my band a few days ago and for the life of me, us and our producer could not get the kick to sound right. I had it tuned like Bonham as well as using the same mic setup that Jeff Ocheltree points out in his vid. Any suggestions?

    • @BONHAMOLOGY
      @BONHAMOLOGY 5 років тому +1

Hi. I use an AKG D 112 , placed in front about 4 inches from the head. The two overheads also pick up some of the bass drum, mainly from the batter side. That's about it. Thanks!

I always thought there was no bass drum during the verse parts (in the studio version), any thoughts George?

  • @DAGDRUM53

Dag here, George, as always another blinder. I know you weary
of compliments and blather in general but I did mention PFOZ
in a post at the link below. You'll find it by my avatar (there's
less than 30 posts) it's the long one made by yours truly in
which psychological degrees and vagaries concerning the
mechanics of talent are discussed. Though I don't mention
you by your real name (you know I'd rather you not use mine)
you and your distinguished bandmates might just recognize
yourselves in much of the commentary (ignore the Michael
    Jackson
part at the very end, it pertains to no one we know
but I'm sure as professional musicians all of you will have
met characters not unlike the types mentioned). In fact,
folks imbued with talent like y'all may well be some of the
few capable of fully understanding what is written. That
    includes you too, Terry.

The guitar and Bass are the weak links here... in that order..you cannot ape the soul of Jimmy Page... no one can...especially if you’re from Croatia... I cannot hear anything remotely British...the only guy I’ve seen does Jimmy convincingly is the guitarist with Jason Bonham. Great drumming here...
