My first ever Phish show. Never quite understood why my parents were so into it. Safe to say I get it now ha. Absolutely melted my face.
Welcome to the the Phish Bowl
that’s what happened to me Raleigh 22. been absolutely addicted ever since
One of the best parts of being a phish fan is getting to watch new people “get it.” I’m sure you made your parents very happy that weekend
@Throwawayjim119 or worried 😅. Lord knows my car was on autopilot after my first show i drove to... I've taken my kids to shows since they were babies. Don't know how I feel about them going without me in 4 years.
I love it!! Parents didn't get their kids into phish much if at all in 94 when I started listening..
You know you’ve got some serious Type II when you need Llama as a cool down.
Haha totally
and the way its meant to be heard..Taboot....Taboot..................TABOOT!!!!
Was there and can say it was hot🔥🔥😮💨😮💨
I have type two diarrhea
I have separate dances for type II
I was at this show, during the no mens jam- I had a vision/premonition that it would dissolve into a smoking llama and when it did i felt like i was in some alternate universe where i could see the shift coming
Positively Phishtabulous. Shroomin' and groovin'.
Came up from Dallas and brought two first timers….we had a blast!
Yea though I walk through the valley of the shakedown of baloons, I fear no nitrous mafia, Thus Spake Zarathustra with me, your Roggae and Stash comfort me.
You prepare a Taste for me in the presence of Wilson. You hose me by anointing my lumpy head with hash oil. My Loving Cup overflows with Bathtub Gin.
Fee.

You ain't normal my Brother. You aught to write a Letter to Jimmy Page. You look like you've seen the Ghost of David Bowie and the Vultures are after your Sparkle, so you Contact some Cat named Poster Nutbag to borrow his car but it Isn't Nearly Fast enough for you, so yo get out and Run Like an Antelope over the Mound into the Cavern to grab your Stash when you said something startled you like a Big Black Furry Creature from Mars. But when I Saw it Again it was only a Wombat chasing a Bug. At first Light it was Silent in the Morning. With our Destiny Unbound we headed back to the Sugar Shack. After a couple drinks you paid our Fee and on the way home all I could think about was Drifting and Dreaming until Monday when I become a Slave to the Traffick Light again.
Your writing inspired this, So, I hope as far as my reply goes...that You Enjoy Myself by reading 📚 my effort to copy your style. 😜👻🤷♂️🧠🥞🐿🐠💣💣🎶🔥✌
@@mattreynolds612 I did pay. It was a flat fee.
(You won't get a refund, if you overpray.)

Take care My Friend X's2.
Mike CRUSHED the Sand jam. What an incredible bass player. He added so much texture the whole time. I rewinded to 16:00 over and over again just to figure out what he was doing. holy shit hahaha
Great comeback sand
I’m so glad they uploaded this suite of songs. I’m from New Hampshire but I flew out to the Hollywood bowl because my friend lives in West Hollywood and my brother lives in Denver so I decided to do dicks this year. And as good as the next night was, I think I had more fun this night and this music right here I thought was the pinnacle of the whole experience in my opinion. I met so many people I’ve never seen before and had the greatest time I made friends with complete strangers and that’s what the community is all about. I’m at 23 shows starting in April of last year and I’m hoping to at least make it to Dayton or possibly Chicago. Really hoping that MSG sphere isn’t ready yet because I’d love to see you in MSG from New Year’s.
eatin' this up. Nice of them to drop 3 songs for free.
phish is cool like that
This segment was maybe my favorite chunk of music from the weekend. It's hard to pick but this was fiery, glad it got an upload
The “Llama in No Man’s Sand” set in all its glory
Love the drone. More crowd footage please!!
Agreed! I was at night 1 and the drone really shows just how huge these shows are. I would occasionally take in the crowds responses during the sets and the loved the way the lights played on them and saw so many people vibing. I'll be back next year for sure!
Sand 0:25
No men in no man's land 23:53
Llama 38:20
I don't care what everyone else says, Stephen Welsch Rocks!!! 😜🎶🔥
CK5 is out of his mind on this one.
The band does alright, too, I guess. 💙⭕️♥️
Best set of the best night of the run/tour/ever?? Def the best show I’ve ever seen live, so far!!
Best jam of the summer.....remind me of deer creek blaze on a distinct phish 4.0 sound
Yes love the short theme they found around 35:00, taking it through to the transition
Phish wins again
After 47 shows and 2 decades..finally got my fucking llama..also scents and subtles . Catalog complete .
I thought that was it
@@evertking1can you elaborate? Not sure what you mean
You saw 47 shows over 20 years and never got a Llama or Scents?
@@nebulaquinn saw them mostly in the midwest. Never got to tour around. Didn't see them until 2003
Credit to the LD, some stunning effects and as with all good LDs they know and reflect visually the music so well!!
Lolol yah brother, Chris Kuroda is world renowned
The overhead view is a sea of amazed!!! And we see what he's a hunting a few states away
Ba daaa bump bump bump ba dump ba ba..
We just need the howling when we all started howling at the full moon 😮🎉
Exceptional. Friday and Saturday were unforgettable
I still don't know wat to do with myself after those nights
@@yamommaknowsme187 the only thing to do is, listen to more Phish 😂
at 21:01 when page (i think) hits that wild wizzing hahahahahha
Intense!
I pooped me sharts at work today.
Wow, that was spacey & groovy! Mike carrying the start and them kicking it in the groove. Love it! Love the lights too!
Give us more of the blimp cam!
Thanks boys
yeh!
Phish Sand>Burning Man Sand 😊
Love how Trey uses his whammy pedal around 17:30 or so, reminds me of the 9/27/00 Piper
I think you meant wah pedal, whammy is the skinny bar that some guitarists have near their right hand. Trey doesn’t use one. But you’re right, he is doing some crazy stuff with that pedal, almost sounds like a Lazer lol
@@jamesa6080at the 17:50 mark you can see he has his foot on his Whammy 2, his wah is right beside it. He’s had the Whammy 2 since about 1994(?) and uses it to do other cool stuff like the growl octave down, the pretty octave up effect (End of 5/22/00 Ghost), and whale call (32:15).
He creates the sound by pitching the note really quickly
Sounds fricking brilliant either way.
I wanna see Trey and Kirk Hammett trade wah solos
Yeah hrs definitely using the Whammy pedal there. Sorry but your attempt at correcting someone's comment is in fact in need of correction itaelf.
That whole Fall Tour 2000 is so underrated. Every show has something worth checking out.
15:59 blasting through a nebula or something
Great set of shows in the west 🔥
summer of sand
Getting generous
Sharing in the groove
That was a monster Llama.
❤
🙏🏽
21:00 Cactus 🌵 zone.
Love Tucson Arizona Sonoran desert 🌵🍄🐟🍄
Felt like they were searching for the groove for a while there during Sand but Kuroda was right there to hold it all together
Hot Diggity-Dawg-Damn!!!!
While Phil 🍃
Best run of shows in a long time. I actually thought night 4 long set was the best of the run
Night one for me
Night 2 & 3!
Some grateful Shiite 🍄🐟🍄
Great little taste of what's being offered these days!
Bec6i left a comment it matters
33:48.... See ya
Cool, even as a 3 piece. I just can't understand what Trey is trying to do. What I love about Phish is missing.
Still the best band in the land
Phish noise sucks!! Enjoy the noise. 😂
too much bottom snare mic in the mix :))
Look for the negative and you are sure to find it Abraham Lincoln 🍄🐟🍄
Oh how i miss the 90s
Raging.
If yall are pumped over this, its getting bad....
Oh lord. I’ve never needed Cannibal Corpse so bad.
So.... I'm not gonna post my stats here, but suffice to say I've heard more live Phish in my career than I even care to admit. Categorize me as a "jaded vet" if you must. I have to be honest and share that what I've heard on spring > summer tour has left me a little..... bored. With the notable exception of the MSG SOAM for example, most (not all) of the jams seem to be falling into the same safety net predictable patterns (initiated by a Trey 4-bar melodic lead melody, repeated enough times for the rest to join in - hence a "bliss jam"); and when song-to-song transitional segues are attempted, they are a bit sudden and clunky. Granted, this is not every jam every show - but more a trend I have noticed.
Question: Am I the only one hearing this trend in the jams over the past few tours? Please keep in mind my frame of reference: My peak of touring and show seeing happened in '97-'98 which is widely considered to be the peak of their collective jamming prowess.
If you choose to reply, please just...... Be nice.
Om Shanti
It's not very good.
Couldn't agree more
Lol
I agree 100 percent. I don't even understand what Trey is trying to do but it's boring. I was at SPAC night 2 and when Derek Trucks came out it was like, oh!!! Cool!! Someone is finally playing the guitar.
I actually feel bad for the other members. They are trying hard to groove but Trey is not doing anything.
Now I know why people who attend these shows experiment with pharmaceuticals. You have to be high to listen this.
That's so far from the truth.
Tool is a much better band than fish but fish hits the spot sometimes when you're on mushrooms otherwise fish sucks
