  • The Perfect Trinidadian Cornmeal Porridge is the best thing you can have for an early morning breakfast.
I swear this video was looking good until I uploaded . I will adjust my lighting and may upload a new one. Anyway, this is like my first video I did on my own, just getting the hang off this. The recipe is on point though.. lol

    2 1/2 cups water, divided
    2 bay leaves
    1 cinnamon stick
    1/2 teaspoon ground cardamon
    1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup fine yellow cornmeal
    1/2 cup evaporated milk
    1/4 teaspoon butter or margarine
    1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
    Garnish
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for sprinkling on top

In the beginning is that plain water or a simple syrup doesn't boil like plain water

@@SimplyCaribbean so would you put coconut milk instead of the condensed milk ?

    • @SimplyCaribbean

@@Lee967_ Replace the coconut milk for the evaporated milk! Condensed milk is for sweetening unless you use something else for the sweetener
