That off road camper is freakin awesome. You can be anywhere in the wilderness, and still have everything you need to freshen up and get yourself recharged and comfortable. Very cool!
Can't be in the wilderness with that. Motor vehicles cannot enter USFS wilderness designated areas.

@@PaddySully1983 yep well aware, still can't operate motor vehicles in designated wilderness areas which is what I was addressing with the OPs statement on taking this to the wilderness (yes I'm sure he was speaking in broad terms, but there is an actual wilderness designation that many folks from the midwest or further east are not aware of)
L.F.G. Is like the Jimmy Houston or Bill Dance of today. Can't get enough of Justin's Fishing, hunting, and (recently added) Camping/bushcraft adventures. What a great role model for today's youth. Heck I'm 34 and just love watching this fishing/hunting master do his thang. What a life you live, definitely living his best life. Can't no brain tumor stop the L.F.G. Love you and your beautiful family bud.

For what that thing probably cost I would’ve expected to have fewer keys.
I'm guessing there are only a couple different locks with a lot of spare keys.

That thing is SICK!!!! Now I need one! They put a LOT of thought into that baby! Solar panels, gas heat and cooking, AC...wow! Get a generator that puts out 30 amps and you are all set! Congrats!

LFG love you're videos make me feel better when I've had a long day. I've been watching you're videos for almost 2 years and I really enjoy you're content so please never stop.
That key situation is ridiculous. Other than that, that's one of the best trailers I have ever seen. I live in bear country so I especially like that the king bed extension has hard walls. Double propane tanks is a little overkill. I have an RPOD and I can go nearly all summer on one tank and we go about every other weekend. Really well constructed and the electronics and meter panel is topnotch. That's like Airstream level, or even better. Love that. So many travel trailers are as sturdy as a happy meal box. Really, that thing is amazing.
One tough thing about a travel trailer is that you can't bring a boat unless you drive two tow vehicles. Or you can get a Porta Bote, a foldable boat you can haul on the roof of your tow vehicle. I have one and love it. You might not like it though seeing the caliber of boat you are used to. But the way I see it is that it is better than no boat.

Awesome rig! As a full-time RVer, I can say that you and the fam will have some awesome times getting off the asphalt!
I can see that LFD will be telling you about all of these trips that you HAVE to go on now. Of course he's going to have to come along to show them to you, just so you get the full experience from them.
You should look into a Blackstone griddle for it! They make some 17” ones that would be perfect for you and your dad.

I have the same truck (2021 in silver), and the exact same camper (but my Bass Boat is a skeeter 21'). It is by far the best trailer I've ever hauled. I can take it anywhere, and do. As someone who does a ton of traveling to hunt and fish, it's been perfect.

My wife and I just bought a small camper to live in for about 3 months after my heart/liver transplant. Going to be in Nashville, TN. Already dreaming of fishing trips with it.

Perfect for family of 4 or 5. We've been trying to find something smaller to tow, more rugged, keeps the teens happy with their own bunks and Mom & Dad have a decent size bed. 👍

Like the fact that it came with two spare tires, camping will be much easier with OSG and two little ones, and when mamas happy it's all good!
This is the same spot he camped awhile back when his best friend went crappie fishing with him, I've since built a crappie box and regularly go crappie fishing and making Golden Crispies on Sunday 🎣🎣🎣

I have the same truck as you, Silverado with the 3.0. I tow a 26 ft camper. The only thing I'd suggest is getting a weight distribution hitch and I also added load lifter air bags in the back suspension.

$45k is a lot of money for a camper that small, but, being a Forest River Wildwood owner where I paid $14k for a 17 ft'er, it looks like you got what you paid for (quality engineering and materials). Mine practically started falling apart on the showroom floor and it was clear very quickly most travel trailers from big names are built with Elmer's glue and hope, and hope has left us all. Seriously, if your planning on getting a "normal" travel trailer you better be handy, even if its brand new. Either way happy adventuring with it man, looks like fun.

Awesome camper LFG, very nice stainless outdoor kitchen. I rock a 35’ Montana 5th wheel but can appreciate that camper for all the storage and engineering into a small unit.

Watch a lot of sailing channels too. They almost all now use battle born lithium batteries rather than lead acid. Just a done the road upgrade to your system. Looks sweet! Only thing is, getting silver bullet and camper some plave.

Looks like a quality product. Its just me involved in my outings so a slide in truck camper is all i can do in order to tow the boat too. Hope they have one, looking to get out of sleeping in my cap soon!!

I just pulled my 7300 lb travel trailer with my 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 Diesel. Pulled like a champ. Have to get used to less suspension that I had on my gas 2500. I averaged 15.4 mph.

Awesome new camper buddy!! We have been wanting to get a camper for us also!! I absolutely love going camping & definitely making awesome & delicious camp fire foods!! But we wanted to get a pole barn built first so when we was not using the camper we had a nice & dry place to put it out of the weather!! I think that the way campers are made today that they just do not last very long if left out doors every day!!! They start to leak & then people don’t no how to fix them!! I no several people that go camping every year with my parents & have baught brand new campers & with in as little as one of them leaking water within less then a year from buying it and another one leaking within two years!! Both were not happy at all!! We did buy a very old fifth wheel camper back in 2008 it was 34’ long and I was going to use it for working on the road until a summer storm ended up blowing it over on its side along with many other things around are house!! So that ended up ruining that camper but I only had about 500.00 in it & was able to keep some of the goodie out of it before scraping it out!! We do have a pole barn up and in the plans this summer is to concrete the intire thing along with infloor heat, a full bathroom, and a nice sized mope sink!! Hopefully by July or August since the Amish are all booked up until then!! Awesome set up buddy I absolutely love it!!

My dad has the 3.0 duramax as well and we tow a 30’6 overall travel trailer. It weighs about 7,000 pounds fully loaded it goes good minus the composite leaf springs it sways bad at 60-70 if it’s windy

The OP-15 is pretty dang legit! I work at a opus dealer in nc and got to mess around with one for an entire day.The thing is pretty wild!

Sir, it's best to never drive with the rooftop up and open.. but I hope that you already knew that and you only drove a tiny piece on the same property, just for introduction of the campervan (that we in Europe call 'Caravan' . Campers are motorized thus both are over here completely different vehicles.
But I have had them all, still have a Camper but started out as a kid with my parents and a Caravan and when we kids got older we slept in our own tents alongside the Caravan 😊
And th e moment I saw fit I bought my own Caravan, had it for years and gratuatly made my way over to Campers 😊
Love these things! Once you started with a Caravan somehow it will always be my first outdoors
Love .. less luxury is absolutely a must to feel one with Nature and all the things around it will always be my soft spot!

If you're worried about pulling it get a hitch with load bars it'll help out alot.

My cousin got the OPUS unit that was fitted to the back of his truck. He waited like 6months for it. But it is bad ass. very cool company.
