The opening theme of the game has him looking directly into the camera when the lyrics say "Oh I am Death. None can....". Paired with the fact he says Death is inevitable, as is meeting him again, both using the exact same word. He is Death.

I liked it so much more the way they did it in until dawn, and it actually tied into the main story although the actor playing the curator does a great job with the lines he has to work with.
