- In this video I show you the steps to follow to get the best ending in the Man of Medan game. I repeated the game several times to get all the outcomes and ending and then selected the best ending the player can get. I edited the scenes to make it simple for the viewer to follow and repeat the steps to get this best ending.

I think it's a neat detail that you have the ability to save a secondary and reluctant antagonist through a specific set of choices you make. You have to be precise, but you can do it and have him escape with you. He doesn't say anything after his last major role in the story, not even during the epilogue scenes and pretty just becomes a silent background character (which I think is a huge waste of an opportunity) but it's still an awesome inclusion nonetheless.
I like how he still has his grumpy look, after being saved by Conrad

There's an unfinished ending to this game that you can find on UA-cam where Junior convinces Olson to return the distributor cap if you keep him alive. Look up "Man of Medan - Lost Ending"

It is probably the biggest issue with the game, how the characters are so chilled about everything and making wise cracks even when the stakes are life and death- compared to until dawn where everyone who does survive is completely traumatised in the ending it doesnt feel like they really experienced any horror at all !

Saving Junior is TOUGH. Calming him down is easy, getting past Olsen without screwing up your heart rate three times as it gets faster is the hard part.
I wanted junior to kill himself i couldn’t care less about him i just wanted every main character to survive and at the end of the day that’s exactly what i did

Saving Conrad was tough 😂
I always got the impression Junior (the savable secondary character) was reluctant about being there from the start, even when they were hijacking the boat. He just seemed like he was being forced to be there by Olson. I also got the same impression about Danny but you saw what happened to him at the end of the video and he can't be saved.
I know it is a bit of a horror trope but it was still a big missed opportunity in the story to have the pirates being forced to team up with the rest of the characters to get through - could have given them a lot more character development along the way and not simply one dimensional bad guys (even if two of them were reluctant)

My ending had Conrad showing up after everyone had left the ship already and the post credit scene was him running from a "ghost." It was pretty sad.

They should’ve got more background cause somehow they’re more interesting than some of the main characters to me (not all)
@@Fifafo8384 it would have been more interesting if they were the main characters that were trying to survive and figure out what's going on as well as trying to escape since there is no boat and they send an sos and survive till a rescue boat got there and once they are far the ship blows up leaving more unknown mystery. and the ship blowing up actually happened in real life so that's better than the actual story giving you uninteresting characters that were also pretty boring.
Agreed they were better fleshed out. Why was the son so focused on? Is he gonna be in a later game?

@@GCXBUGaming you just have to send him to get some help(escape with boat) and if you get back a ship part from bad guys you sail away with others to safety but he returns with other ship and goes to the main ship to search for his friends but he dies in there ofc

In my humble opinion, the best ending is the one where you miraculously keep everyone alive, but get gunned down by the military in the end anyways

Why would a search party from an Army, searching through a totally fishy abandoned ship without bringing Guns and some weird high pirate beat them up unconsciously.
Cause it is a horror game, and the military always have to act like idiots in horror stories to give the monsters a chance of winning !
I did my first playthrough of this. I wasn't able to save Junior cause I messed up the stay calm section and lost the rebreather. I saved everyone else and they left on the boat. But of course Conrad turned up later and ended up going loopy on the boat. I would assume he died even though I still got the trophy for saving everyone.
I went back afterwards to redo the chapter so I could save Junior. Ironically this time I missed the QTE with the distributor cap by a fraction of a second and it got destroyed. I think this ending is way better, cause Conrad doesn't end up going into the ship and everyone gets away on the boat he brings.
It is ironic that this is the best ending but you have to actually mess up the final scene in order to get it.
I got the same ending , only my Alex saw the two headed monster he found the skeleton of earlier in the game. I think its crazy that that stuck with him and changed the ending hallucination. Also I stabbed Fliss once lol and also talked junior into shooting himself because I thought I needed the gun. Playing the whole series
When Conrad escaped he came back but he died. and I killed fliss thinking it was one of the pirates 5:09 🥺🥺I was so mad
I'm Groot use common sense, Olson is dead and he wouldn’t come back to life and first of all it’s obvious it’s a hallucination of Olson since Olson is dead
On my screen, there was no Olson but a two headed conjured twin screaming at me (Alex), but was Fliss after she snapped out of him
Conrad is my favorite character of the game. A good rich dude. 🤑
This game reminds me of those choose your own path books back in the 80z
I remember those, they were awesome. If supermassive studios could obtain the license for those stories they would have an almost unlimited amount of material to keep making games

I hated it when I had to calm down Junior. Julia kept being an idiot and approached him, telling him to put the gun down. I tried to be dismissive but she got shot straight in the head. Honestly I didn't feel bad for her one bit, I was just sad that I never got the good ending.
After watching TTG playing, this was so relieving

I was insanely close. Got her shot in the head, stabbed Fliss.... Dropped the distributor cap because the stream lagged which ended up being the right call. Conrad came on the boat and picked us up... So close!
that rat QTE is a killer. it will kill your whole experience of the game. I was so close to this ending. I did it everything to save everyone even junior by the book but this damn QTE is so fast..
A lot of the QTE in this game are too fast- you feel really cheated when a character dies not because of a bad decision but simply because you lack the freak inhuman reflexes the game thinks all players are supposed to have. There should be a difficulty setting to change the speeds of quicktimes in games where failing them will radically change the outcome !
@@TyrannosaurusCHEX For me it wasn't so much the QTEs but when you suddenly went from QTE to quickly mashing a button. I failed those almost every time because I realised too late that it's not a QTE.
I purposely let Conrad fail the boat hijack escape because I thought he was going to get shot after seeing the premonition. I'm glad I did because I'd be missing out on his scene at the ghost ship with the female sailor.

So I was following this guide and I messed something up in the radio section in which I believe I won't get the "everyone survives" ending on my first play through. If I finish the game and get a different ending, can I do chapter selection and get the everyone survives ending? Or do I need to start a new run from scratch?
I think you can just go back on a chapter selection and redo it so don't worry too much

Wow the Conrad ending surprised me, I'm trying to think of a point in the story where he gets off tthe ship to get the extra boat (perhaps the lifeboat or diving equipment?). I kinda feel bad for the Asian guy lolol.
This game had a really lame true ending. Until Dawn was much more fulfilling. It was nice seeing basically everyone surviving but this ending did not seem complete. If it were me I would have had it where they were telling the army about the ship and maybe they get some kind of medal. And some story about how they ended up after they got back to land.
wasnt there an ending where they get rescued by a military helicopter and get shot to death for knowing too much? i doubt the army would be giving any medals lol

I'm jealous because in every gameplay I've seen, Junior lives and Junior shoots himself for me. I know you're supposed to get the decompressor but I just had to mess up one of the "Stay Calmed" events
Personally if you ask me i think the true ending is the ending i got on accident where brad and alex both were the last survivors (I say that because if this was a movie we get introduced to them first which means they would be the main characters)
How do you get the ending where Conrad saved them all?
He has to escape on the boat either by your successful attempt during the crew's capture on the Duke (without getting caught) or during the hostage standoff you have with Olson when he offers Conrad the gun to get him to let his guard down. Much time after that you will run into Olson corpse (given if you don't ever try to grab the distributor cap). You must fail the first QTE when your trying to grab the DC from the rats, doing so will cause the DC to roll off and fall down in the Shaft, Followed by the elevator crashing down on top of it. After that, You will unlock the Conrad ending... given if you pass all the right QTE's after that.

Around 4.50, why it's Olson there instead of the 2 headed creature? What decision changed this?
Maybe opening of the coffin? In one of four coffins in the hold there was two headed sceleton. If Alex didn't see it, he only has an idea of Olson as imaginery enemy.
Also one fact: that coffin doesn't have chain around it. But it was stated in internal memorandum note that all of them MUST be chained all the time. Which means that someone of crew broke the cain. Radist's hallucination before death was something with two pairs of arms. Also there was a note about punished soliders, who were seen in the hold when they weren't suppose to.
@@dianadoraen7864 that makes sense, so it's like people can't hallucinate things they've never seen then. But then at some point Fliss got grabbed and choked by the monsters, wonder if she seen them before. There are some note or journals about crews peeked at the coffin or sth.

I didnt like the qte. I'm not a pro gamer so I failed keeping everyone alive. Plus if you screw up you can't go back and retry it unless u restart the whole fucking game
I saved Brad, Alex, Fliss, and the random pirate guy. Julia was a monster with no dialogue options so i stabbed her. Conrad, after being gone the entire game, comes back to the ship and dies so idk how i was supposed to do anything about that. No regrets, those deaths were dumb asf

Alot of youtubers had 2 automatic deaths the juice or shooting someone and the game glitching at the gate falling down or getting your head bashed in by Olson which definitely gave me ptsd

Julia die got shot by one of the pirate Julia and Brad try to convince that he was seeing things, and then brad, felis and Alex got escape, then before the credit it show conrad just arrive at the ship and found Julia's body and then he got caught by the monster😭

I just finish the game and it was bad ending all of them dead!!!! In the end only two guys are survive but they killed by soldier arrrive with helicopter.
My ending was with julia, Alex and fiss with generator piece... Brad shot in head by 2ndary survivor. And completely no sign of conrad!!! I'm talking no answer to what happened to him. No death scene or explanation! I was so pissed!

I’m from the future and Pewdiepie is good at the start and would obviously mess up at the end, but he is still funny and a great UA-camr even though he killed one of my favourite characters.

Papa Dalbo in the game the ourang Medan was a ww2 ship that was shipping “manchurian gold” a toxic chemical weapon that the Americans were going to use against their enemies. But during the journey it leaked out and made the whole ship crew hallucinate and go insane which is why there’s so many dead bodies. So the whole time the ship wasn’t actually a ghost ship, the characters were hallucinating from inhaling the manchurian gold. If you’re asking about the real ship apparently it was a ship that went missing and people claim to see it time to time.

@@moomilkr5788 Correction* In real life SS Ourang Medan was spotted and boarded by a another ship called Silver Star it has been told that it had exploded during its towing session by the Silver Star crew with unexplained reason , it is a Dutch freighter that was carrying similar nerve agents can be classified as a CBRN weapon, Best theories include it is made by the Japanese and stored in China in WW2 that was being transported illegally by the SS Ourang Medan as the ship's route seemed it was actively avoided patrol ships in the area.

No, its actually military in the opening scene transporting somekind of biological weapon and the storm unleashes it. So if everyone is in that gas then they see halucinations that make you kill someone or it kills you. Because when conrad tryed to run from that nurse halucination it was fliss sooo it tries to manipulate survivors to kill each other or the halucinations gives them heart attack.

@@facemcshooty7454 The gas doesn't make you kill people. It just makes you have have hallucinations. Fliss as the nurse never tried to kill Conrad, in fact Conrad can only die in this whole sequence by falling, by himself. Fliss is just trying to help, but Conrad is hallucinating.
Same goes for the Alex goes crazy and Fliss trying to help scene.
Same for when Fliss can stab Brad when she sees him as this sort of Grim Reaper.
Damn Fliss can cause a lot of death unintentionally now that I think about it.
