I am watching this for the first time. It’s September 2020. When she sang “I hope life treats you kind” directly to Whitney I started crying. Thinking she only had a few years of life left. Jennifer was amazing singing to her idol. Not yet knowing she will sing her one more tribute the day after Whitney passes away. Whitney looked so proud of Jennifer. As if the torch was passed.

This was a true rarefied moment to sing in front of the The Voice and to see Whitney truly enjoying this heart rendering tribute to her from the most celebrated non winner (Simon Cowell's biggest mistake. EVER.) Even more powerful to pay tribute to someone while they are still alive which made this performance even more poignant.
