I've been watching this channel for over 4 years now and it's still one of my favorites. You built a nice rig and you do good work keep it up! Thanks for giving us an honest no bullshit channel that delivers helpful information and good entertainment all these years. UA-cam needs more channels like this.
+spudrubble I heard something also. I was wondering if this was before or after the front wheel came off and was repaired. I know it is cold in Minn., but I would look into it before the next time in the woods.
I Think Home Boy With That Ford Needs To Invest In Putting Counter Weights On That Real End Its Way Too Light With That little Stake Bed And Lower Tire Pressure There Gunna Act Up In Mudd Like That Half Clay Gunk Maybe Next Time Have A Wench For Support On The Front End To Could Help. Yup... I think that Ford was a bit stuck! LOL!! Good job getting him out!! He's going to be needing a flush out of the engine compartment😁 Say!! That's some pretty cool merch from Detroit Wrecker!!
Should always do a double line , hook to a tree or 2 save on equipment!!! just my 2 cents worth. Oh yea always check equipment AFTER every recovery!!!!!
un gran trabajo ademas se nota que lo disfrutas., tengo solo una pregunta para ti., xq no usas de forma habitual el reenvio para que el motor del winche no sufra tanto castigo? un saludo desde uruguay de parte de un colega.
It amazes me how many 4wds there have no winch. It is almost standard equipment here in the PNW. I most likely could have gotten him out. 9000l lb winch, chain me to a tree and a snatch block.
what's that battery charger? does it have a sensor on it or only the timer? you have to know when to stop charging? it's 2016 how does it not have a way of knowing when to stop on its own and just float trickle charge??
that clinking sound don't sound too good. I have no idea what it is, but sounds bad. I always enjoy watcing your videos, they are always so well put together. 🙂
sounds like someone needs to cut some more off your finders. about 4:20 and i say if you do that might as well cut more and go larger tires. LOL just kidding love your videos
been watching your videos for awhile, love em! i'd love to come get my ford stuck out there, looks like you got miles and miles of trials!!!! its a offroad wonderland
+recoveryteam me too,a few to many, one shot turned into twenty back to back and it was game over...love the idea you had and ran with...I worked for a recovery company here in central Texas but the pay was crap...thinking of starting my own muddy buddy recovery...
+recoveryteam what is the difference in rating for a hydraulic wrecker winch and and electric self recovery winch? love the battery charger she got you for christmas, nice gift
+bleeckertb To be more correct I should say they have a different duty cycle. Both winches are rated on the first layer of cable on the drum, and as the layers build up the the leverage factor (gear ratio) changes lowering the pulling power of the winch by about 10% per layer. A winch is only required to pull it's rated pull on the first layer of wrapped cable for 1 foot. A electric winch looses pulling power as the electric motor heats up, that gives it a lower duty cycle. A hydraulic winch has a very high duty cycle, and can pull at it's full strength for a long time. That is why the winch on the wrecker seems sronger than a 8000 lb electric winch, it just doesn't get tired like a electric winch.
did anyone else catch the end when pulling the shirts out of the bag. detroitwrecker got spelled detroitwercker. oops. nice battery charger those aren't cheap. my dads handheld one broke after falling off the tractor tire too many times so i was using a 2/10/50 amp charger until i found a 6v 25/50 12v 25/50/250 on wheels at a garage sale for like 10 dollars. those big ones are real handy and you miss them when you don't have em
Eric, I know nothing about general 4 wheeling at an off-road park. Do you drive down the trails looking for the stranded vehicle with the transfer case in 4-Low and your automatic transmission in D? Or a different setup? I read where a few guys don't use 4wd unless they have to, but I'm pretty sure you are in 4wd the entire time in your videos. Keep the great videos coming! Love what you do for everybody.
+recoveryteam Thanks for the quick reply about the transfer case. But what about the auto transmission? Do you put it in low, or just D and let it shift itself? Can't say that I ever recall hearing your wrecker shift while on a recovery.
+HanksDeuce Most of the time the transmission is in low gear (1st) or low gear in most truck auto transmissions have a built in overrun clutch that will offer some compression braking down hill.
+sirchirpalot I'm surprised that Ford stayed running. The front of the engine was under water and the belts and fan had to be throwing water all over the place under the hood.
I like watching the recoveries that you and your team do. Great job

you got a bad u joint or carrier bearing??
was thinking the same thing.
+spudrubble I heard something also. I was wondering if this was before or after the front wheel came off and was repaired. I know it is cold in Minn., but I would look into it before the next time in the woods.
Shhhhhhhh lady. Don't ruin the video
It's always good to see a chevy pulling a ford
Like that rig was actually going to take that run😂

I love your videos so much! They remind me of my childhood in the hills of the Oregon Coast.

WRECKER miss-spelled on one that goes across screen :)
You’re a good guy!!👍
the Clacking we hear,,, is that the front diff getting shitty?
The new truck looks like its working good.
Should always do a double line , hook to a tree or 2 save on equipment!!! just my 2 cents worth. Oh yea always check equipment AFTER every recovery!!!!!

Great video and some thoughtful gifts from friends ! Happy New Year, BSF Recovery Team !
Older new videos I like them all
Another great recovery! Love that ol' ford truck! Great gifts also! Have a good'nnn
NICE CARE PACKAGE. I hope you will ALWAYS be safe.
what is the jingling clicking sound I can hear in your drivetrain?.......sounds like a dead or dieing uni joint
I think he said on another video it is just because of the steep drive shaft angle. Hope I remember right and am not putting words in his mouth.
+TheBCSledder, ahh ok cool
+TheBCSledder Think you are right, more specifically I recall it being the centering pin on the front shaft. (I could be wrong, too though)
It is a u joint been dieing for the last 2 years worth of videos lol
Sounds like the chain in the t case if its an np203
That was more than a tug, thumbs up
that clinking sound don't sound too good. I have no idea what it is, but sounds bad.
I always enjoy watcing your videos, they are always so well put together. 🙂

This guy knows every square inch of those woods, I would not want to make him mad
I use that battery charger at school it comes in handy when you need to jump start something quick or just charge batteries
Just a heads up, but the annotation with the link is too low on the video screen. It gets covered by the video control bar when you try to click it.
how was your new years bsf recovery team?
+John Mayfield Good, a few drinks, rang in the new year then went to bed.
+recoveryteam me too,a few to many, one shot turned into twenty back to back and it was game over...love the idea you had and ran with...I worked for a recovery company here in central Texas but the pay was crap...thinking of starting my own muddy buddy recovery...
That wrecker 4-wheels nice. Some of that stuff was a lot steeper than it looked in the video.
did you atleast check to make sure your doors were clean after that I went went into free spool like that
That noise is the front drive shaft u joint. I'm sure he has it fixed by now
Hey Erick how big is the lift on the wrecker?
8"
the wrecker is the baddest truck ive seen in a long while
I couldn't drive that if that were my truck drive u joint out
Sounds like you got a bad u joint or Bering or something
Thumbs up, and keep the rubber side down.
Aaaahaaahaaa. Been there. Aaaahaaahaaa
He actually knew where that sick ass crater is at, his back yard, he rigged it,shit
What is the capacity of the back winch on the wrecker?
I'm a new subscriber to the channel
+El Jefe The boom winch on the wrecker is a 8000 lb hydraulic industrial, rated differently than electric winches.
+recoveryteam cool and thanks through the past videos I have been watching it sure does get the job done and does it well.
+recoveryteam what is the difference in rating for a hydraulic wrecker winch and and electric self recovery winch? love the battery charger she got you for christmas, nice gift
