    Hi, new subscriber here ! I too am from NYC!
    I'm planning my Egypt vacation and leaving next month. I am concerned about the food, but that goes for any international travel for me. Got sick in Costa Rica, was escorted off the plane, was told they wouldn't take off with how physically ill I looked, the airline called the "red cross" and paid for my stay in a hotel. Anyway, back to Egypt..
    Please do upload a part 2 Egypt. I'd like to know about the plane ride experience going there, how hot was it in Egypt and inside the pyramids and temples, can you bring prescription meds?.. I heard a woman was jailed for a year over there for bringing her pain meds! I heard Egypt isn't pet friendly. I was going to bring my dog but then heard about that, the stray cats and dogs, and now i'm searching for a pet sitter!
    Are Ubers safe? Are there any crocodiles in the Nile?😮 Were the hotel rooms/bathrooms clean? How was the water pressure? I'm afraid to take a shower if we have to be careful with the water!! I'll bring many Wipes!!
    Nice presentation! Best of luck with your channel !

      Omg hate to read you had that experience!!! And thanks for the sub my fellow New Yorker :)!!
      I actually do have a part 2 video for this on my channel, got you covered ;). Plane ride was totally fine. Had a layover in Morocco. I believer there are crocs in the Nile but I didn’t not swim in it. For meds I’m not sure. I packed melatonin and didn’t have an issue. As far as pet friend I am not sure, I don’t have a pet lol. Water pressure was great, hotels were pretty clean (except the overnight train!!!) water you do have to be careful as far as drinking it, but showers are completely fine!

    My partner and I have been to Egypt 11 times first we did 3 cruises then we booked our flights and hotel separetly, on the independent trips we stayed in Luxor at the Sonesta Hotel , My partner is Jamaican and I am half Italian we had no bother apart from the normal hassle with horse and carts and shopkeepers but we felt very safe there and made good friends with the locals. Looking forward to your next video.

    OMG thank you!! you don't negotiate over a gucci bag! I go there like every year and whenever I buy things like souvenirs and silver I don't haggle and when I'm using uber I give like 50% tip sometime drivers would try to give me the change back even tho I insist that they keep them. ppl there are really poor it's heart breaking . but still it can get annoying

      Yes, they are just making a living like all of us. We pay waaaaay too much for things just because there is a label on it, but we can’t pay an extra couple of dollars for someone trying to feed and provide for their families.

    I book a flight and a room with Pyramid views. Solo but people think I'm crazy for going Solo. I plan to book tours with the hotel on-site. But should i find a tour before I go? And where do you find tours. I saw things on Expedia.

      Expedia is a great option. Would sleep book with hotel because you can find other people to travel with that are staying at the same location as you! Best of luck :)

    Great video! I have been looking at Contiki, G Travel, and some others for awhile. Would you say your experience with G Travel is similar, just with a different age group?

    Great video, much correct and needed information ℹ️ especially for women.
    Listen to her when she says “ bring toilet paper or tissues with you at all times.
    And they are very oppressed in that country “ tampons “ don’t exist… !!!
    And finally “ buffet eating “ 🤮 you are better off eating anything but this . Egyptian cuisine is amazing ! ❤ … do you homework always no matter the country.

      Looking at your video Egypt sounds awful also mistreating of Nubian people. Living in America you already get mistreated being black not trying to go to another place where blacks are being mistreated .

    • @Sheridoncluse
      @Sheridoncluse  Рік тому +1

      @@leor7582 definitely understand your point of view. I personally did not have a bad experience, but can understand why you might be hesitant. I see it as you should never let anyone else stop your from creating your own adventure and living your life. We deal with racial miss-treatment in America but we continue to live and speak our peace. We are not going anywhere and we should not be scared to live our lives.

    Hey x how was contiki , I’m a black girl going solo and kinda nervous since there’s normally no black people or poc and mostly Australians . Kinda scared of not making any friends 😭

    • @Sheridoncluse
      @Sheridoncluse  4 місяці тому

      Def understand your concern! I have done another Contiki where this was the case, but thankfully the Egypt trip I was not the only poc. I felt very welcomed tho, but obviously I had my moments where I did get comments that were directed to my race. Would encourage you to still go and get that experience. Don’t let it stop you, because we belong everywhere :)

      @@Miaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa relate so much! I’ve done there Amsterdam trip, which one fun but wouldn’t recommend if your not in the party vibe.
      Your feelings are so valid. It can be extremely isolating especially going to a totally different country you are not familiar with. I would still encourage you to take the chance and use the experience you have in normal life and out toward your travel. Ofc there were moments that felt weird but the good always outweighed the bad.

      Just be careful of the places you go. Make sure you are eating things that are fully cooked and staying away from salads are things that are raw’
