- I finally have a jump starter, this was sent out to me to test after Topdon saw I was struggling to start my projects. This is the smallest jump starter on the market and the cheapest.
How good is it? Will it start a totally dead transit Mk7 or will it fail miserably?
Let's find out and put this Topdon through its paces with this extreme demonstration.

It's a good bit of kit I've got same one and it started my friend's jaguar V8 in 30sec

It is possible to jump transits from under the bonnet if jumping from another vehicle. There is a dedicated positive terminal . And clip negative to the engine lifting eye - ( next to air box )
I couldn't tell you I've never looked but there might be one under there somewhere lol
2 days later and it works 😉😁 . Jokes aside I'm exactly the same when I purchase something, never read the instructions untill I'm just about to give up or throw it 😄😄 . One thing I love about this channel is your honesty, it really does restore my faith that there are good people still out there . Thanks for all your videos. 👍

I guess that was quite an xtreme test. The depths of winter on a van that hasn’t been started for months. Useful bit of kit.
I know you like your gadgets buddy if you haven't got one of these it's worth asking topdon if you can get one to review. Handy for all them fiat 500s that get delivered with flat batteries

Yes the guy below is quite correct, no need to mess about inside when under the bonnet will do it ok, I still favor the good old style jump pack!!. Even a top make like snap on would struggle on a cold day like that. "Good Content" Thanks.👍

Glad you enjoyed 😉 it was a tough one for the topdon but it's no point reviewing a product if it isn't honest.
There's a little more work on the Peugeot first but the Transit will be making its big appearance in the new year
I am guessing you can use this in ther engine bay also by connecting it to the live terminal and the lifting Earth hook on the engine?

Might be better with the JS2000 OR JS3000 As they are a bit more powerful from the start, Just about to review the JS2000 on my channel actually, done a few things for TopDon and really rate their products 😁

You should always put the clutch in when you start a Diesel engine. Hot or cold.

For the size its a handy bit of kit . To be fair this weather and the fact the van has been laid up a while I thought it coped well.
Me too it's small and cheap, handy for the wife when she's out shopping to keep in the glove box lol. you never know I've been caught out a few times in the winter just going out for the day and parking the car and the battery is flat when we come back. Matey, why not jump it from the jump point under the bonnet mate instead of battery, its a mk 7 isnt it? On right side in engine bay there is a battery connection for cables, its labled. Connect neg to engine mount or something.

Just looked through your transit videos did it drive better before you took out the injectors as I think you should have put them back in the cylinder thay came from?

To be honest it's a good brand most of the equipment that I've had has worked for me and doesn't cost the earth, Ideal for the DIY'er starting out.

Try starting it with the clutch peddle down usually starts my mark 7
That's probably a newer van or a different model 🤔 thanks for the advice though

Pay the extra and get the JS2000 in my opinion it's worth it for the extra power.

TopDon JS2000 is better and only costs £11 more.
I can only review what I was given I should imagine they all work well but this was a test on the smallest and cheapest from the topdon range I suppose it's what you can afford. But value your opinion and hopefully, I will get one to try one day lol
You do realise that there is a jump point in the engine bay 😅
