For those unfamiliar with Southern Comfort, it is a fruit flavored whiskey liquor that dates back to the 1874. It won a gold medal at the 1904 Worlds Fair. Sometime in the 20th Century most of the whiskey base was replaced with a neutral grain spirit save for a tiny amount of whiskey for flavor. In the 2014, they recently returned to an all whiskey base for Southern Comfort, dropping the neutral grain spirit base. One famous drinker of the spirit was the late Blue-rock singer Janis Joplin who often was often seen in photographs holding a bottle of the stuff, which she regularly drank.

That Southern Comfort is screaming at me it's eggnog season. While other girls are craving pumpkin spice everything, I'm over here thinking about Irish coffee, cardamom ice cream, and spiked eggnog 3 ways this season.
Eggnog is for the winter season. I would drink it all year long if it were readily available (I know I could make a crap version at home, but it just isn't the same), but it's definitely not a fall drink.

@stesrad Soco was one of the first drinks I had and drank a lot of the 100proof stuff, then I grew up and realized what an idiot I was drinking soco.

I was a nightclub DJ for 21 years in Vancouver BC Canada and everytime I had an after party it was ice cold Crown Royal shots at the end....mostly because you would be blasted right after the shots...lol

Southern Comfort was first made by a bartender in New Orleans and as a child of the south it is considered a rite of passage to get black out drunk as a teen and I obliged.

SoCo(southern comfort) used to be my go to alcohol for years and years, now it’s caught up with me and I only cook my bourbon/apple chicken wings with it.

Southern Comfort is my favorite alcohol. A SoCo and Coke is the greatest drink mankind has come up with. It tastes great, you can drink it all night, and get as drunk as you want.
