Since you 3d print your own keystone blanks, have you ever tried to design a blank that allows you to passthrough a DAC cable? I’ve been thinking about passing DAC cables through the patch panel then using a blank with a hole carved out of it to make it look a little nicer.

I've actually made my own by drilling a hole in the middle and cutting a line from the hole to one side. It works and looks good for a home enthusiast setup. But I would not do this professionally.
I must say I had lot of fun doing this. I also use this for patch cables that connect from a wall jack near the patch panel. This way I can avoid using another keystone jack + a 2nd patch cable.
This can be mixed with keystone jacks in the patch panel. Looks very clean and uniform!

I'll play around with it and see what we can come up with. We typically just pass the DAC through an open slot on the patch panel, but I agree it would be nice to have something that cleans it up.

@ I found a 3d design for a keystone like this on printables. I don’t think yt will let me put links in comments, but you could find it on printables by a creator called fz, “SFP+ Cable Keystone Jack”

    Hi
    Thanks for this vidéo.
My main concern about this Ubiquiti patch panel is the fact it’s not grounded not fully compatible with all my shield ethernet cables I’ve been using in my house
I’m still hoping they will produce one day such grounded patch panels 😉

I understand, however if you are following proper ground procedure for the rack itself as well as running a UPS you should mitigate the risk significantly.
