People saying she screamed etc, just don't get it. Her whole style is deliberately strained, broken and sharp, with a husky tone playing in the background like a heavenly instrument. Personally, I think she's a phenomenal talent. She even plays down her beauty. Love her.

Honestly one of the most amazing things ever to have graced my ears. That soul, that voice! I had a single tear rolling down my cheek after that and super chills!

+Kunoichi4ever4 Everything wrongly balanced... Ricky's team superb and someone like Rachel-Ann cannot get to the next round, and Paloma's team (sorry !) painful to watch. Not one male singer of Paloma's team made it through; she must have chosen the wrong singers then.
Kim Acronym if Paloma d not let go of the most obvious choice to put through she d have sb dangerous in the game and Ricky could have taken Rachel ... it really shows how great of a coach Ricky is that even when during the blinds it looked Paloma ve gotten great ppl and Ricky got rejected a lot of times...he still comes out on top.
+Kunoichi4ever4 I agree - don't know what she was thinking...If Kevin would have stayed with Paloma, at least Rachel-Ann could have gone as 3rd place singer. I think we should not underestimate that Ricky's song choices for battles were also great. I think (I am not sure why; this might be personal taste) a lot of singers tonight chose R&B star songs, and first of all they don't have the same great voice, 2nd some of these songs are overplayed, and 3rd they don't change them, so that it almost never sounds fresh. Whereas a new song like Alive is not overplayed, and if changed a little bit, could sound better than the original..

She's fucking gorgeous, and she did something that not even Sia could do with this song. Alive was made to top Chandelier attempting to make a song with incredibly high notes but Sia didn't transmit as much and Chloe did in this performance and that's why it didn't even come close to being as successful as any of the singles from 1000 forms of fear. Chloe put SO MUCH FUCKING EMOTION INTO THIS PERFORMANCE ITS UNREAL

+Zeo Khan It was written with Adele, for Adele about Adele. It wasn't designed for anything more than that. The only reason Sia is singing it now is because it was rejected at the last minute.

I'm sorry.... All you people who are saying this is bad please educate yourself more on what talent is. This girl has such a raw and unique style of voice it is unbelievable. Just because she doesn't sound like most of the unoriginal voices out there today in the music industry does NOT mean she is “bad". In my opinion I thought this performance was incredible.

Actually, it is bad. Not because her voice is unique, which it is. However, as someone who is going to college for Performing Arts and has had extensive vocal training since I was 9 years old, I can tell you she is hurting her vocal chords. You should never, ever, make your mouth wide when singing high notes like that, especially a vowel like "I." Your mouth should always be as vertical as possible. You can hear her pushing from the chest and throat instead of the mask, lifting her soft pallete too high and causing strain, rubbing her vocal chords together which will only, eventually, create nodes in which she may never be able to sing again, or have to get risky surgery. Not to mention she was flat while trying to reach those notes, due to poor vocal technique.

Chloe has topped her performance now 2 times in a row, and she delivered the best contribution this week as well as during the whole battles. I hope that people will acknowledge that in the live shows. The beginning of the song is legendary....she sings it with such a deep voice, with so much rhythm and with such conviction that you get chills "I was born in a thunderstorm, and I grew up over night". Yes, I surely believe that Chloe, that's how it must have been !!

I absolutely adore her voice, it's so powerful and emotional. I'm not crazy about the arrangement though, I love this song and I feel like she cut out some of the best opportunities for her voice and jumped between parts a bit too much.
