I would love to see her live in concert and get to meet her. As a bass in a choir, she’s a complete inspiration to me, and helped push me out of my comfort zone to experiment with how high I can push my voice. I would say Sia, Beyonce, Pink and Lady Gaga as the best artist of our current generation. They are the most well-rounded, unique and distinctive performers and yet very different from each other. All had written their own songs, powerful vocal range, and have demonstrated countless times live that they could easily sing acoustic version of their songs.
This woman is 46 years old and still belts like a 28 year old. She even lets her voice break, but has somehow not totally fried her vocal cords. Just insane talent and skill. Even the 20-something songstresses - some of whom do, genuinely, have very talented voices - are not gonna be able to belt like this at 46.
