Really an interesting set of unusual pickups. I remember you really struggled to like that LP Custom. To be honest, no matter which pickup you put on it, it never sounded right. But this time it's different. Those pickups makes that LP Custom sing. You can use that LP Custom as an experimental guitar to test various things. You can put a Bigsby on it (maybe using the Vibramate system so you don't have to drill any holes), experiment with weird wiring and so on.
I was lucky enough to have McNelly recommended on a custom build from an Australian builder, Leigh Guitars. McNelly are his top pick. I had a '72 Tele Style built and went for McNelly Cornucopia humbucker in the neck with A5 signature in the bridge. Wow, amazing pickups individually and together they work so well. Wish I was closer for you to have a play on an amazing guitar.
Interesting pick-ups. I like the sound a lot. It's good to see people trying something a bit different. They're a bit pricey for me though. On which subject, it would be interesting to see some reviews and comparisons with cheaper alternatives. For pick-ups: GFS make some interesting ones and I have liked the ones I've tried. I particularly like the Dream 180. Artec have their own "posh" range called Giovanni. Tey sound interesting. The same with effects. For instance, how does a Marshall GV2 stand up against some of the boutique distortion pedals you have demonstrated?
Thank you for that awesome demo and variety of amp/pedals. They have a clarity for humbuckers that is rare. I think they sound amazing. Nice playing as well.
Sounds great! I wish they made a reverse version so the poles on a right handed guitar would end up where they are on your lefty LP: with the poles under the bass strings closer to the bridge, and the poles for the treble strings closer to the neck.
Clarity and dynamic sound which is different from typical humbucker sound. Great
Yep - these are essentially hum-cancelling P90s 👍

Super cool! Great playing too.

Sounds glorious, thanks for putting these on my radar, Joe.

Oh, and you were 'right' handed 🙂
Sounds great! I can tell you’re liking those pickups by how you’re attacking that LP. 😎

tried these in a walsh guitar and loved them, was curious to see how they sound in a LP. Your boy Joey P coming through!

Sounds sweet Joe! ✌👍
