What you can't see is the hours of preparation and the manipulation of heavy equipment and tooling just for a few seconds of pushing/pulling. It's been a few decades for me but I hated the medium duty trucks. Especially Volvo. Their frames always diamond even with a minor crash. I've had to replace every cross member in a few Volvo medium duty. Once the ends of the X members roll just a little. There's no getting them back. Good work there. We all know that Bob does all the heavy lifting.
Chains in this case are needed for positive torque and force transfer, i.e. force and twist where you want it almost like "on the very spot" The straps would do the reverse and spread out the force and torque elastically left/right and laterally which is exactly why they are best for wreckers - avoid damage or if already wrecked avoid more damage by not concentrating force and pinching, bending or rotating particularly unibodies. But the principles work on either one. Concentrate (chain) the force pinpoint to get the rotation or stretch you want very precise in the frame shop, soft touch with straps on the wrecker to avoid damage until Bendon can work his magic on it. Great video, great fun, tremendous skill and very entertaining!
love watching your videos your a true craftsmen and have the skills to make it look so easy and the music you play is what i grew up with and still listen too stay safe and keep twisting
The amount of damage that you are capable of fixing is impressive. What would the characteristics of a bent frame have to be for it to be unfixable without replacing the frame rails.
Great video again. Ive been involved with a few frame projects your skill makes it look easy. It isnt Great work ive been watching for awhile wouldnt miss one! Your application of physics and bending modulus is incredible
Chevy v8 and tall gears that’s why, I used to retro fit similar truck but in a shorter configuration and my gm would do doughnuts before we sent them out for body’s
Chains. Hmmm ... Noticed the heavy wrecker peoples use chains very rarely. Have you considered implementing straps? Seems they would spread the load onto the frame.
Like watching the progress on the frames!! I still have a trailer I would like to talk to you about willing to bring it to you 44 foot gooseneck with side sway & down in right front. Randy
2:20 Now thats an EXCESSIVE AMOUNT of holes in that frame. How can they not weaken the frames strength. I mean i can see several holes being pre-punched to make up-fitters job a lil easier. But thats just crazy nuts. Just make the frame Izuzu, the up-fitters will do their thing and put all the holes in it anyways while heating, welding & bending things into place for their fitment of the accessories they put on. 🤔👍🏻👌🏻😎🤷🏻♂️🤦♂️💪🏻
because real engeneering is done with math and not by feeling you just have to have enough thickness, material strength and beam height, deepness of that c channel and enough H frame connections in the frame to reach your designgoals you wanted. even with holes or larger sections cutted away^^ its clear not a frame for a heavy duty offroad dumptruck to work in mining industrie^^. its clearly a ligrt duty verry versatile frame to fit a large ammount of different applications probably all arround the world there are lot of countries you cant just put new hole in a frame where you want without a lot of hassle and new lizensing or something. with this frame the factory did it for you all you need is bolt your stuff on or move your toolboy back a few holes if you need addtional space for your def tank or somnething.
Love your videos. I was calling it an Isuzu npr until I had to order parts for one and they look at you funny and say, “you mean NRR”? 😂😂😂 yeah that’s what I meant.
Are there times when you have to mess with the rivets holding the cross members, also i wonder if the machine has enough pull to straighten that hair out
He's got them for sale. Get'em while you can, cause they go fast. Even has some autographed versions available too. There's a link in the description for them
Shop rate for frame ranges $100 to 200$ hourly. Type of damage: sway 12hrs, twist 12hrs, sag 12hrs, diamond 18hrs, buckles 4hrs each. Rolled rail 4hrs each, alignment 6.5hrs. Repair like replace crossmember and suspension components is by the book. This is just basic info to understand this.
Just an FYI I have subscribed to your channel now four times, it will be fine for a.while then you vansh from the list and when you show back up, it shows I need to subscribe. Just an FYI that has to be effecting your bottom line!

Thanks for the longer video, I know youtube is not your job so thank you very much for taking the time to make the video.
What you do is absolutely amazing! Your understanding of frame dynamics is impressive.
The Daddy of frame finesse! Keeping truckers on the straight and narrow! 👍
Bob is a great help in pointing things out good job.
Never change my dude ! Even going through some slight depression you make me laugh like a little kid. Thank you!
Another informative and entertaining video. You make it look easy. People must realize it is far from easy. Enjoy the materials, keep them coming.
Thank you for making me smile! The hair! Slow mo hair swinging in the wind!

I find these surprisingly addictive. Very cool. Thank you!

Fabio and Bob at work!
😂😂😂😂😂
PRICELESS
Team work makes the dream work
Which is which?
The amount of damage that you are capable of fixing is impressive. What would the characteristics of a bent frame have to be for it to be unfixable without replacing the frame rails.
Anything is repairable with enough labor hours, except for structurally unsound rust in the frame, that would require new rails and cross members.
The "woosh" noise associated with Bob moving is life.
The swoosh sound is so funny.
Great work! Not a bad explanation.
Wow super video and thanks for advertising Mattress Mac in the background radio and the Fabio hair.
Thanks for the show Devin 🍻 🇦🇺
I like them lil Isuzu trucks.
Great video again. Ive been involved with a few frame projects your skill makes it look easy. It isnt Great work ive been watching for awhile wouldnt miss one! Your application of physics and bending modulus is incredible
That Izzie's frame was KINKED.
Man, you are a doctor of frameology. Ya need a black lab coat.
I found you through facebook reels its cool to see that you have long in depth videos looking forward to more
yeah i drove a NPR with a gas V8 for a few years for a company. those things will get it. wouldn't think they had so much get up and go.
Chevy v8 and tall gears that’s why, I used to retro fit similar truck but in a shorter configuration and my gm would do doughnuts before we sent them out for body’s
Bendon for President 🇺🇸
I’m gonna get a bob finger for my next Chevy sb rebuild I’ll post and give the credit to the finger. Keep Bendin
Definitely a semi-truck chiropractor specialist.
Good job thanks
"i know a couple girls that aint" lmao hell yeah brother
Love your videos. Always wondered though if you ever brake rads while straining frames?
Great job brother 👍 You have serious skills
Yes, we have no Isuzu's today!
We're going to do a little light twist! Killed me!
Awesome work you are a master of your trade 😊
“Hit in the box”. That’s what he said….
Chains. Hmmm ... Noticed the heavy wrecker peoples use chains very rarely. Have you considered implementing straps? Seems they would spread the load onto the frame.
You want a force transfer with no stretch. Straps stretch, chains don’t.
Haha German torque spec, love it!
Like watching the progress on the frames!! I still have a trailer I would like to talk to you about willing to bring it to you 44 foot gooseneck with side sway & down in right front. Randy
Really enjoy your videos and BoB
Good video Bob
Love watching your videos do y'all do passenger vehicles too Also where you located
Sure does know his stuff on those frames.
Do you rebolt the engine mounts when you do the test drives? I miss that step in the videos.

It’s like an rv. The box is the strength. And as long as the flanges aren’t drilled it’s very strong
Love your videos. I was calling it an Isuzu npr until I had to order parts for one and they look at you funny and say, “you mean NRR”? 😂😂😂 yeah that’s what I meant.
Nice job with the video big hoss.. 🥇
Great video have you ever had trouble with wiring harnesses after a large pull?
Great work there 👍👍
For a minute there I thought you were gonna go the “over the top” hat flip like Sylvester Stallone..
Magic, for sure. Sure, it looks like an expensive process.
How close can you get a frame to perfect when it is damaged like that?
Is that a banana or are you happy to see me?
Are there times when you have to mess with the rivets holding the cross members, also i wonder if the machine has enough pull to straighten that hair out
Love your channel I need a bob pointer get em out here I’ll buy one
He's got them for sale. Get'em while you can, cause they go fast. Even has some autographed versions available too. There's a link in the description for them
please Please PLEASE do a video about how to spot bent frame/ body damage in a salvage or truck auction! PLEASE Please please
YEESS!
I still get tickled at the whoosh sound of your little pointer hand cutting through the air
You definitely don't need to go to the gym ever with that job. Man you move some heavy steel
How much $$ is it to fix say a bad bend in the frame I take it is expensive .
Very cool stuff
How many hrs does it take on average to straighten a truck frame?
I like the longer videos
What argument did this truck got in too 😂😢
No frickin' liner in that frame
It'll be back ......hahahaha
Respect man, respect
Go Bob go

Keep straightening !
😂😂😂 i know a few gals that aren't straight either 😂😂
Always wondered what it cost (ball park) to do something like this...?
Shop rate for frame ranges $100 to 200$ hourly.

Amazing job young man all I can say
Daylight Come - and me wanna go home:)
Come, mister tally man, tally me banana
Daylight come and me wan' go home
Dang bobs getting out of hand lol
Great video, I was wondering if you unbolted the motor mounts when you were bending behind the front axle (08:00)?
Reasons I bought a hino instead of the izuzu. Hino has a stiffer frame.
They're both some of the worst.
Just an FYI I have subscribed to your channel now four times, it will be fine for a.while then you vansh from the list and when you show back up, it shows I need to subscribe. Just an FYI that has to be effecting your bottom line!
