Hi. Thank you for all of your content. I am planning my work/leisure trip to Brussels/Antwerp in April 2025. Prior to visiting any country (I’m living in WA state, from Hawaii) I make sure to UA-cam as much content from the country. Yours popped up and I’ve been watching it back to back - plus you are a yogi like me! I appreciate your detailed information. I also want to compliment you on your causal but sophisticated and sporty ensemble. May I ask where did you get your leather jacket from? I also noticed your shoes - are they Ecco brand? Since purchasing them in Denmark, those are my go-to shoes I continually wear all through my travels in EU - sooo comfy and they never give me blisters. Keep it up with all of your content. You are gorgeous and I can tell your lifestyle of good health shows in how you present your content. Aloha!
Thank you so much Michelle for your sweet comment. I'm so glad to hear that the videos are helping you plan your trip here :) My jacket is from a leather store in Florence that I got about 10 years ago and I unfortunately can't remember the name, but it's still one of my favorite pieces :) I wish you safe travels to Belgium in April and a lovely rest of your day- Aloha back at ya :)
Since this video was posted, another must-see place opened in Brussels: the rooftop bar on top of the new city hall building. It is a stone trow from De Brouckere metro. Brussels administration moved to a brand new offices and opened a rooftop bar. The views are just spectacular.
In the central city by the canal is C'est si bon which is a great bakery (I also love Renard) Parks: Wolvendael and Woluwe. Markets: Saint-Gilles, Molenbeek
The rooftop of the bourse more closer the tower of the city hall. Capoue in uccle or etterbeek for so good ice cream (not in the center, this one isn t really good)
Some more tips: 1) Hallerbos for the blue flowers in april. 2) cemetery laeken, to watch old graves 3) royal serres, only open a few days a year 4) flagey square on a summer night, for the vibes 5) square ambiorix, beautiful park with nice houses surrouding it (one of victor horta)
Bruxelles is a such a nice city, I visited it several time, but I think it really big city for me 😅 I still prefer my lovely quiet and comfy city Namur/Namen
That's great! I really enjoy it here :D There's always something going on, it's close to many major cities, and there are some really great people here. I think you'll like it too! Best of luck on your move :)
You forgot about “Janneke pis”, Manneke pis little sister :p And try to go for one beer in the cafes “Le Cercuille” near the Grand Place and have one beer from a stone skull beer pull :D
@@AlexandraTempleton I'm not saying it to wag fingers but this is still 'fresh' history and people seeing you do that in a video on the inter tubes, even in tempero non suspecto, might use it to point fingers at you and then things turn ugly in a hurry. I don't want things to turn ugly for you, you're a blessing, you have the right spirit, an absolutely gorgeous voice [rounding off an otherwise already phantasmagorical package of pulchritude and charm] and I don't want you to get bogged down by having to explain yourself in another video "Look guys, honestly, I'm a guest here, he looks kind of a distinguished gentleman, I had no idea he was a when I shot that footage, it's like two seconds in the whole video, right?" I love your videos, I'm definitely not blaming you for our history. Please give us more of your wonderful perspective. I love you, you're amazing.

it sucks! nothing compared to a mediterannean country
Lovely video ;) Can only confirm these are the places to be. Quintessential spot 2 at the top of the list
Thank you Robert :D I'm so glad you enjoyed! Bakeries of Brussels should be a whole video of their own ;P

Great! Thanks so much for the tips- I'll definitely check out the bar and stone skull beer- how cool!
One thing you should NOT do ... waving friendly at Leopold II
Waving at the statue of Leopold II... perhaps not the greatest visual.
Agreed, not one of my finer moments. It wasn’t until a few months after making this video that I learned more about history and what he had done 😔

The interior of that bakery and overdone packaging of that éclair tell me "expensive and probably overrated"
how ignorant, this is the corect way to do a civilized way
