You make math sound so much fun and easy. You’re a queen of math and asmr. Please do more role-play teaching videos. 2 minutes in and i’m already melting
I’ve watched 7 minutes so far and this seems so much more complicated than how I learned in school (I’m from Germany). The formula we used is called “pq-formula” here. There’s also the “midnight formula” but I never learned that one so idk about that one.
Same! I haven't ever heard of pq-formula, but we used something called discriminant, which is a part of midnight formula, according to google(I'm not sure, because we called it Quadratic formula). I really like this discriminant, because it's very easy to use. We also used Vieta's formulas, but it's only easy to use when you have integers. Otherwise it's difficult to solve the equation I understand where comes from that formula that she used, but is seems kinda complicated
@@angelinaa.5260 yeah I’m not sure if what we call pq formula is known anywhere else but if not, why not? Bc that’s so much easier and should be applied everywhere Yeah I guess what you used is what we call „mignight formula“ but that one‘s not applied in every school. my school only mentioned it. it’s so interesting though, you’d think something like maths should be the same everywhere?
Omggg I’ve just found your channel and your academic asmr videos are golden.. never felt so relaxed learning before, keep doing what you’re doing - I greatly appreciate it!🥺❤️
Wow, it's really interesting to see how you solved first equations because in my country we do it in a completely different way. We use discriminant mostly, and sometimes Vieta's formulas. Do you know them? I'm really interested.
I can't understand anything as I am in the beginning of high school in France but I found this very interesting and sleepy at some point 🥲 This vidéo is so original and you're not talking that quick and that loud so it's perfect 😩✨
For complete the square, we were always taught that after you simplified and squared your b value, whatever it came out as on the other side of the equal sign would always be a negative, regardless of if it made sense or not. So, -5 squared would = -25, and since the original number on the other side of the equal sign is a negative, you would subtract it instead of adding it. So our line of working would be (x-5) squared = -25 - 22, Which would end up simplifying to (X-5) squared = -47 Though that wouldn’t make sense since it doesn’t make factoring any easier as it’s supposed to do. But that’s how we did it in our exams
8:48 it's simple. You add 22 on both sides and make x ^2 - 10x +22= 0 Then just make it normal A ^2 - 2AB + B ^2 and balance it x^2 - 2.5.x + (5)^2 - (5)^2 +22= 0 (x-5)^2 - 25+22 = 0 (x-5)^2 - 3 = 0 (x-5)^2 - (root over 3)^2 = 0 (x-5+ √3) (x-5 - √3) = 0 (by a sq - b sq =( a+b)(a-b)) So x can be both 5-√3 and 5+√3.
The way I learned this in school seems way easier. Basically you get the equation to match the standard form x^2+px+q=0. If there is a number in front of the x^2 you just devide every summand by that number. Than you use -((p/2)^2)+√(((p/2)^2)-q), do the same but this time replace the "+" with a "-" and just like that you have both possible answers for x.
I'm only 3 minutes in, on the first question, and I'm going, "Oh God, I hate this already..." Algebra was just one of those things I learned in high school, and once that period was over, I never touched it again. I swear, in my college years, I don't think I ever touched that particular subject again. I'm guessing it depends on which career you're aiming for. If you're looking for something in the scientific industry, then it's most definitely important, probably required. As my college numeracy professor said, math is just another science.
Hi Destiny my name Is Mike and I just found your channel I have subscribed and hit the bell to stay in touch for new videos math was never a strong point in High school for me
if you were my math teacher, i would’ve never faced the trauma i did back in school
Where is your profile pic from

you posted this at the perfect time! love you and your videos❤️
Love these types of videos! So relaxing!
I'm in love with her glasses!!! and with the video of course 😍
Destiny - is this starting to make sense
Me - No
Destiny - what part are you stuck on
Me - everything you just said!
Yesss more of these role plays please! Also I think the mic is messed up I heard a buzzing sound throughout the video 😩
I don’t hear a buzz at all, i think it might be your speaker or the headphones you could be using
@@helengrugett I can actually hear the buzz sound too. It’s almost like a robot voice. Especially at 18:05 and further then it disappears at the end
Congrats on 50K!!
ALGEBRA MADE ME REPROVE MATHS 😭😭

Wow! Just look at this beautiful number 50k :))
Congrats!
8:48 it's simple. You add 22 on both sides and make
x ^2 - 10x +22= 0
Then just make it normal
A ^2 - 2AB + B ^2 and balance it
x^2 - 2.5.x + (5)^2 - (5)^2 +22= 0
(x-5)^2 - 25+22 = 0
(x-5)^2 - 3 = 0
(x-5)^2 - (root over 3)^2 = 0
(x-5+ √3) (x-5 - √3) = 0 (by a sq - b sq =( a+b)(a-b))
So x can be both
5-√3 and 5+√3.

I deliberately forgot everything I knew about algebra so DW could teach it to me again! Well worth the effort!!!
