Белорусский язык это мёртвый язык, на нем разговаривает в повседневной жизни очень маленькое количество людей, его учат в школах, как когда-то в Европе учили латынь
Fun fact: the cyrillic alphabet originated in Bulgaria and then it spread to other slav countries, all of the countries adopted it and made their unique letters, as you can see in the Russian alphabet with their unique letters
Just so that you know, it wasn't the British men that made the alphabet, it was the Latin men that built upon the Greek letters. What I'm currently typing right now is the English WORD (Language), that's the difference😃
If you've referred to the British when you said 'English', then here's your explanation. If you've referred to the American when you've mentioned "English alphabet" then my explanation is also valid.
I'm a second year russian student, but this was a nice refresher on the alphabet and how the letters should be pronounced from a native speaker! Love the video!

I love how unedited this is. The candidness is delightful. Thanks Lizi! I learnt this about 15 years ago for little practical reason -- remembered most of it but it was good to have a demo of the hard and soft signs :)
I honestly love the way Russians speak like their language even if I can’t understand it. I just love it, its so soothing and nice. I would love to learn it its just hard to pronounce some words but keep up the good work!!🥰🥰
Thank you for this. At first the Cyrillic alphabet was very strange to me. But when you finally have the will to learn it. It becomes easier. Though there's still have a long way to go, I recognize how to pronounce certain letters from memory. Russian is such a beautiful language.
That is so funny to hear. I'm a German and learned some Russian in school. I was once in my life in Portugal, when I was around 16-17. After sitting down in a restaurant I got extremely confused. Portuguese sounded like Russian if I didn't pay attention, therefore grabbing my attention, just to realise I couldn't understand anything. XD
Ah, that's interesting. A few years ago I was watching the stream of a basketball game and I thought for some time the announcers were speaking some slavic language. Turns out it was Portuguese. But I heard Brazilian Portuguese is pronounced quite differently.
the russians were like: they have a cool alphabet over there. Lets have the same thing but have different symbols and then they are confused. And then the russians all laughed and drank vodka.
Anna Petrová they said that latin alphabet is significantly older than cyrillic, but greek alphabet (which was a base for cyrillic) is older than both of those
From someone who's half bulgarian, when I see this alfabet, I'm very proud of it and I can only think about Russia and Bulgaria like big and little brother. We have so many history together, but it's so unknown. (Sorry if my english is bad)
me: (looks at the whiteboard) "ok this looks easy enough..." (sees the snowflake I used to draw in 5th grade) *"now what kind of cryptid bullshit is this"*
At 2:33 the proper English would be "I'll tell you how it's pronounced". So for example in a sentence; "I have trouble pronouncing the Cyrillic alphabet because all the letters look funny." Whereas pronounced in a sentence would be like; "The teacher pronounced the Cryillic letters for the class." Another example for pronouncing would be; "The class took turns pronouncing the Cryillic letters."

The Russian alphabet looks like the English alphabet but somebody kept on having strokes while writing the alphabet
Fun fact: the cyrillic alphabet originated in Bulgaria and then it spread to other slav countries, all of the countries adopted it and made their unique letters, as you can see in the Russian alphabet with their unique letters
@@malinaizetiopije8844 interesting
@@_oo_54 sadly by now a lot of countries stoped using it so yeah...

The russian phonetics are so similar to portuguese, even the alfabet feels intuitive to me to pronounce!
I have a friend who says Portuguese is the mediterranean Russian jajaja cheers from Spain!
XD
