I feels like Worcester’s been powercrept by new lines and the nerf on radar range. If they return its original radar range, and a buff to its AA, then it might be back to this current meta.
You just need to play behind islands, like an Atlanta. I still consistently do okay in Wooster. Mine is fully AA spec with range mod and IFHE, range mod for higher arcs over islands and extra safety, hard to hit things but when you get used to 18km max range volleying over islands, youll do well. @@paddington1670 does it shred Malta's, Nakhimov and super CV it's planes? Last time I've played the Wooster I didn't notice AA build doing much damage, and for me 18 km build it's too hard to hit anything but idle targets, haha
Honestly think marseille should be B tier, shes quite good. Her guns slap, making her good for crossfires with a bb, reload booster to help catch broadsides and set fires. Very fast with great maneuverability, can hit 40kt with engine boost and has a tight turning radius Rather stealthy for its size, 11.5 iirc, on the stealthy end of these super cruisers/bc’s Really fun too imo
I agree. Marseille is a very strong ship but not easy to play. But I would put her at least in B. On the other hand, I do not think that Worcester is S. Yes, the ship is good, but it is often too clumsy for the 9km aggressive radar play. Or in other words: with DM, you have more options. So, putting her in A seems to be appropriate and - without doubt, Worcester is also not that easy to play but can be highly rewarding. Starting with Petro or Nevsky might be a bit more rookie-friendly.
I agree without a doubt at least B but what im here for is the Hindenburg ! this thing does near everything well this ship will tear Wooosta a new arse and if you have Lutens an adrenalin rush activated you get reload down to near 5 seconds thats 12 203mm with German AP well armoured and throwing torps around like there free, its a no brainer and yes other than the YOYO i have all of the above. So do yourself a favour and grind away...
Worcester on S feels like a violation. It’s not particularly good at anything that others already do better. On the flip side nevsky would’ve been an easy S tier for me. Stupid guns, stupid speed, everything about it is just so stupidly op
I think Des Moines is not really S tier (for random battle) anymore since a few years ago because of the passive meta, CVs and now sub. A solid B for random and perhaps A or S for CB (if CV isn't present).
For my opinion I would choose Marseille,Gouden Leuw,Goliath,Hindenburg and Newski at first for S. But it is interesting how different the thoughts about that are. Everyone is different 🙂 Have a nice day
Marseille, once you get used to it, should honestly be A or S tier. On paper it's not brilliant, but the combination of speed, maneuverability and stealth, paired with excellent guns make it a rather formidable target.
Thought I could get away with skipping to the end, but now I have to see how you justify ranking Marseille a D... inconsistent with it's clan battles limitation where it's grouped with Petro and Napoli and you can only pick one of them. Appreciate the content.
Minotaur is my favourite, it's so much fun and it's amazing. Play it like a Wooster for the first chapter of a battle, and in second chapter play as a DD. Pretty okay against planes, radar when spotted, it's good.
Yeah, it's an awesome feeling when some DD player starts farming you and pops it's smoke, thinking that you can't hurt him...but then....40 second RADAR and it's raining lead every 3 seconds. I loved playing the Mino to hunt DDs with radar....sadly I'm over WoWs. WG introduced too much BS in the last 2 years and I just can't take it anymore.
I don't really have a problem with this tier list except the Marseille. Sure, the hull is a bit questionable, but i really, really love the guns on this ship. It's quite accurate with amazing penetration, not to mention the reload booster. It can obliterate almost anything if caught broadside. Also I don't play Marseille with bow-in playstyle, despite the turret setup. I find it much better when played as a highly mobile ambusher/flanker, using the speed boost to look for broadside opportunities. Granted, it will not do well on high tier competitive scene where you will find almost no broadside to shoot at. But in randoms and ranked, I'd put Marseille on at least B tier, or maybe even A tier.
@@etdizzle10 I wasn't basing my comment on unicum standards obviously, but you don't need to be a unicum to get a higher average than that: Hindenburg only does damage. On NA, the average is 75 133 but Hindenburg is generally played by bad players. Highlighting a 82 855 average is not good and suggests he's below average as a player.
Good vid, I think I'd put Wostr in A and move Nevsky and Petro to S. While they have different strengths and weaknesses, there's a reason you see both of these in KOTS (the former was so strong it was getting banned) and almost never see a Wster.
Well KOTS has a specific meta that doesn't really translate well to randoms. For example, Kremlin does very well in competitive because how tanky it is, it can hunker down and hold an area. But in randoms the meh accuracy really hurts the ship with all the long range spam
I don't know, I wreck face with the Marseille, and you can bounce most shots if angled correctly, and can just disintegrate things if they show broadside. Could just be how I play though, but the Marseille is one of my best performers.
Hi pq. How's it going. I just received the gorizia in a Santa container and was curious about your thoughts about this ship seeing how it's not on your list here. Do you have any videos that talk about this ship in depth or how best to play it maybe. Really enjoy your work here. Good luck and fair seas.
I have fun playing as a radar Minotaur and agree it is either high impact or a sinking piece of swiss cheese. Playing the Mino well means have to be prepared to play high-energy as you are basically a mega DD. I also really enjoy the Des Moines now that I have gone to 18km range over a 4.x second reload.
Cruisers are I think the hardest class to play - you have a citadel and can get one shotted, that said you have a better chance to correct a missed shot without having to wait. I wish they'd buff the deck armour on Zao to similar to that on Atago, it would still have the weak broadside/torpedo trap but you'd have a chance of resisting shells if you angled, I still like playing her but it's more because I remember what Zao used to be like.... Henri is fun but I miss the acceleration and deceleration. I'm not too keen on the superships - don't see the point really. Desmo and Mino I think are my favourites, used to play Hindi a lot too - but a bit too slow, lots of overmatch now too. Venezia is nice but I find it a bit boring and too gimicky - possilby I need to play with it a bit more. Petro's great apart from its dispersion which is frustrating and feels Russian OP... Goliath is kind of the modern zao for me - you can carry out alot of games with it, murders destroyers, surprisingly tanky and AP at close range is really powerful - have to be careful with your broadside or the step in the citadel though. Nevsky with Radar mod is really good against destroyers, probably the best light cruiser in the game as the AP is nasty too (plus you get to play Dmitiri Donskoi which was one of my favourite Tier IXs.... Worcester has too floaty shells for the current meta for me (plus its previously legendary aa is now pants) and its AP isn't that great, it's good but ships like colbert/smolensk/austin do what it used to do only better. The US Heavy cruiser line is probably the one I'd play if I was starting out from Tier VII on it's pretty fun (although careful with buffalo - hide your broadside). That said I do have a soft spot for the british light cruisers - but they're rather niche.
I like this list. I lament the drop of Zao which in the old days used to be one of my favs. I use Nevsky a lot in Clan Battles - Petro/DM I like too. Hindy is still my fav.
I have my best games in Goliath, I don’t know why, but I do love the Japanese cruisers. The HE just seems to hit harder and more consistently than any other line. Nice tier list!
As a Worcester I always go for the supers. That insta-slaughter AA mixed with 37mm of pen with HE makes it a super killer. Landing shells on the superstructure of a SAT isn't hard at all. I burn 50k HP off T10/T11s in less than a minute and watch them run. Such an underrated ship in 2023/2024.
As a first t10? Try to decently learn Buffalo too. She plays somewhat similar to other cruisers so you get some experience. DM has a very unique playstyle. Also, enjoy Baltimore. She's probably a stronger t8 than DM a t10.
DM is at least on par with those, it's still easily one of the strongest cruisers in the game. Worcester being higher, on the other hand, is a bit of an interesting choice to say the least.
Marseille is great in CB when you've got teammates with complimentary ships. If you have a BB to help take fire and a DD to spot and cause chaos, it can quickly rack up citadels. It becomes an issue when enemy cruisers shoot from longer ranges and get plunging fire though. It's not good at long distance engagements (which is the current Randoms meta), but it's a beast at medium range, which is suitable for Clans and Ranked, as well as certain Brawls formats. Although, they really need to buff the reload booster. It only lasts long enough to recharge 2 salvos, and that's if you time it right and immediately get your first recharged salvo off. I'd says it's less versatile than the Henry though.
Thanks for making these!!! Once you get to coal/steel/rp and so on, could you please leave the tech tree ships up on the screen so we see how they compare with the resource ships? Thanks again!
Love your lists. Usually fill the odd gaps when I discover an omission on my behalf. More importantly it helps support what I don’t get ie not suiting my style
agreed. petro is only t10.5 because of somewhat random dispersion and the slow turrets. give petro a funny button similar to conde and we got a strong supership.
Petro is really not that great in randoms. If your enemies have brains, she does crap damage. 20 second radar is also a joke. Imo Moskva is just Petro but better
@@Artem_Shepelev you commented under malta's buffalo video that you did well in buffalo, right? you seem to be decent but i think you just like a different playstyle. petro is stupid. she can take positions even kremlin can't, because of the better concealment, radar and aa. you don't want to take bow in fights, you want to take weird unusual positions to catch broadsides. and because it's petro, it works. petro is stupid, but she needs some creativity/lunacy to really show it.
@@cemborembo The playstyle you described works when there are no carriers in the match. With a CV you either play passively or get dumpstered. Perhaps you are right and I just don't understand Petro
I have the reverse view of Zao and Hindy, Zao's excellent concealment makes it great at going dark and its maneuverable enough to be able to dodge the BBs. Hindy I feel suffers what I call 'the Hipper problem' where you will eat cits and take massive damage at very weird angles especially a long range which this passive meta makes it more likely to happen.
Hindenburg is indeed a great ship but I hate how that ship handles like a battleship. That along with average speed makes it difficult to choose between reload and range. Personally I go with range because Hindenburg just isn't agile enough to take reload and not die instantly.
I feel like the British light cruiser line is the best to start with because 1) they only have 1 ammo type so there's less things to confuse new players, 2) they have a heal so they can survive a couple hits and be able to learn from mistakes, mispositioning, being overly aggressive etc, 3) they have smokescreens which further increases survivability especially at lower tiers where there is no radar or submarines and where hydro and CVs aren't as good.
I disagree strongly, if you're new to cruisers you really don't want to start with any light cruisers. Newer players will get one shot constantly and probably get frustrated. Yes they're great ships, but damn if you make a positioning mistake you die fast!
I generally agree. But Marsielle for me should be at least Tier B. Her alpha can surprise even bbs. Speed allows you to quickly change position and deal a lot of damage to an opponent who is not watching map.
Hindenburg was my first, I find you need to be very aware of your position, and ability to disengage, save it for late game push. Yet to play many games in the Venezia.. that ship scares me. Recently picked up the Minotaur, and oh my god what a fun ship, get into a nice forward secure position, pop smoke and unleash all that ungodly AP rain… after the Neptune that ship feel’s Illegal.
I don't know if yodo is much better, but I played 1 game in the t7 omono and don't want to touch that line again, never. Hope they get out soon so I can sell them and at least get some credits out of them 😂
Hahaha, I have 16 cap points into that ship bive turned it into an all AA/sub hunter/torpedo ship as much as I can just to get some value for my team from it. Every upgrade and cap point so far I've dedicated to those 3 things and when there are 2 cvs and 2 subs I can actually help my team. Otherwise you are correct the ship is garbage
Zao was once a very good ship. Her problem is nowadays, she is always spotted in one way or the other. Submarines, DDs, CVs and radar ships. She is a ninja with great dispersion, but as you said the guns and torpedos are hard to use. And she still has one of the lowest hp pools in the game. She needs a huge buff in terms of hp. But it won't happen, because she is T10 silver ship and WG wants to sell premiums.
As an IJN main if i want the Zao to be buffed, it would not be the HP. A few hudred more HP is not going to do crap. I rather have firing range buff or turret traverse speed buff instead which will significant affect the gameplay. Also the torp turning mechanic from the IJN light cruisers would be very nice. Btw i do not know what you meant by the gun is difficult to use, the projectile of the Zao's 203 is one of the best, pretty much laser beam at long range like Soviet cruiser. The 203 mm gun is definitely not the problem, i love these guns, they hit hard, high fire chance and easy to aim, pretty much the only reason why the Zao is still somewhat usable.
How the times have changed... when this game first came out and it only had 2 tier X cruiers (DM and Zao), the forums everywhere were FILLED with complaints asking to buff DM because it was so 'bad' compared to Zao.
Pretty much agree with this list, although I am biased towards the Hindenburg since it works so well in ranked for me and Venezia since it is just so fun to play in almost every match whatever the game mode. I will say the Italian cruiser line overall is extremely fun as well, if you can figure out how to make the low tiers work (in my case, open water gun-boating and constant moving/dodging) you can apply that same gameplay and tactics throughout the entire line. I wouldn't say it is beginner friendly, but a good intermediate line to run. I just got the Worcester so will need to play it more but it seems like a beast if you can keep it alive in a match. The grind up to her was rough, but really if you are able to make the others work it seems like those skills would apply to her too.
My list of favs is the opposite way round, excluding the Yodo which should be in a tier below the barrel. I suppose the best would be to play all of them and find which is the right fit for you
Gonna also echo comments on the Marseilles, no way she is D tier. She is too fast and hits too hard with a large HP pool to be rated that low. She has her problems, but no way she is tied for worst techtree cruiser in the game with Jinan...
Love the opinion, but personally can't agrree. Shitro and Nevsky well above Worcester. Marseille is a beast. Zao, everyone loves to hate but still a good ship.
I just got my Worcester today, and it's great. Seattle wasn't all that bad. DM was my first cruiser. It was kinda funny I completed the supercontainer mission with on Seattle and got the Salem from it.
Agree on a lot of things, although not everything. I would put Marseille in B. Insanely good HE and AP, great maneuverability, tankiness, concealment, she's really good imo. Zao is also B for me, very consistent and has my highest avg damage in a cruiser (134k). Jinan is a weird one. I struggled with the line until I realized that you can lob shells over freaking mountains. So going full gun build, finding an island and never letting go of LMB works well, but then Worcester is straight up better at this. C for me Radar Mino is S+
I would disagree on the point that super ships are something that everyone is going to look at having at some point. There are a great many of us who've been in the game for a long time who are making sure to stay away from anything super ship related. They are game breaking and I refuse to be part of that crime. Those so-called super ships are the reason that tier 10 and 9 have become so unpleasant. I have been playing 8s and below of late actually just to guarantee I'll never have to see a super ship and I got to tell you, it feels pretty damn good! I'll still take my Gearing, Somers or YY out every now and again though.
Hindenburg a decent "oven water" ship, I don't know why but this misspell was so funny it made my day. 🤣Thx potatoe. Keep up the good work. I love your Videos and have nice holidays 😄
Certainly makes sense to me. Sad to see Zao (and Yodo) down in C. Even though the D tier entries may be worse in some ways, they at least have remarkable (if not exactly meta-fitting) niches. The IJN CA/CLs' combination of characteristics just doesn't accomplish anything at all (certainly nothing that other ships can't do better). We can maybe say the Zao is a concept that got left behind by the game, but the Yodo...
Yeah they sadly don't belon in this meta anymore. They are ninja ships, but with submarines, CVs, radar and DDs they are always open. Nearly impossible to play.
You're wrong about everyone wanting superships. I've been playing for 7 years now, and have a LOT of T10 ships and I recognize superships for the crappy credit sinks that they are. They are not worth it because in any battle you are in you get hyper focused and deleted. So, no, I don't own a single one, and only played them when they had that limited event where you could used them for a few days at a time. They just aren't worth it. Oh, and I love my Marseille but I do agree with you on Jinan. I did that grind and Jinan is such a disappointing ship, and it's made me rethink getting Austin as a result, so, now I am looking at Mecklenburg and Bourgogne more for my first steel ship.
I honestly do like gouden leeuw, her guns are not always accurate and has the burn time of a BB which are big downsides, but she is very tanky, has both good AP & HE, strong AA, can sneak up on anyone and her airstrikes will either force someone to move or get carpet bombed badly (they can potentially destroy a sub with just 1 strike)
All subjective of course but for me, Hinden is a solid A tier, Nevsky is easily S tier and Worcester is B tier (even though I personally love playing Worcester)
So I mostly agree with this list. I wish they would fix the turret angles on the Zao, and just improve RoF by like 2 seconds. It just feels long. If I was king of my UA-cam video though, I would switch Nevsky with Hindi. I just don’t have much luck with the Nevsky and find it’s durability lacking. Wooster is a solid B tier for me. It can be a menace at closer ranges and has great impact, but there’s a reason you don’t see them much in the meta. Gold lion is probably C tier. For new players coming through learning the basics, a ship that relies on its strikes and less guns to create battle impact is lacking. Other than that, yeah. This seems like a decent stacking. Definitely recommend DM, Hindi, Petro as “first” lines.
I honestly can't agree with Marseille being D, she's at least B-A range, the reload booster alone is worthy of a C ranking at minimum. When you consider she has 218k AP DPM stock, and it's French AP meaning higher than average pen she plays great on a flank and when needed can fill the role of a BB better than most Cruisers. Her range also let's her play in the passive meta we are in far better than something like a Goliath, that sure has a super heal, but when you are getting overmatched by 80% of the Battleships you are seeing it doesn't matter. I also can't agree with Worcester being S, the 9km radar and prevalence of ships with over 37mm decks makes her feel rather weak. She has nearly the same gap in her detection and radar range as Des Moines, but without the AP to fall back on, and while having a full km less radar range. Sure it lasts a bit longer, but she's not S, she's a B at best just due to the passive meta and the stupidly short radar range meaning she's just a lower DPM Minotaur without a smoke screen most of the time. Zao and Yodo being the same ranking feels off as well, sure nether are great, but Zao still has her accurate guns giving her decent applied DPM, while Yodo only has a small DPM increase but standard accuracy meaning you are likely to only hit with around 1/2 to 3/4 of your shells, Zao if aimed well will hit with 3/4ths to 4/5ths consistently. Giving her an applied DPM higher than even Hindenburg while only having 1km-ish less range. I feel like I would have put Zao in B and leave Yodo in C, and likely move Gouden Leeuw to C as her only real plus is the air strike. I also would have made a Z tier just for Jinan, all 127mm armed Cruisers are just garbage and honestly don't have a place anymore. I was really excited when Wargaming said they were making a new Light Cruiser line and giving it to Pan-Asia, then I saw that they were armed with 127-130mm guns and immediately lost all hope they would be good. Maybe if they got improved AP pen angles and improved AP pen like Fenyang gets they would be okay. They would basically be weaker British lights with the ability to light fires, but they don't, because heaven forbid a light cruiser be playable anymore. I know it's because BB mains would cry if Wargaming added more good light cruisers but it's about time Cruiser players get more options for ships to play that are viable. BB mains cry all the time anyway.
Roon is fine, but unfortunately it has to be played differently....or at least backwards. The rear biased turret setup means you often need to begin engagements arse first so you don't have to gamer turn eventually. The Hipper experience is highly tier dependent. Top tier you can bully caps since you will bounce most BB shells in the game. Bottom tier you have to play passive since you get overmatched/no heal and have to be an opportunistic farmer with mediocre DPM. Hipper is still a good cruiser trainer though.
I love Des Moines. My first T10 and most played ship. Still my favorite of all. Sometimes you get games where you're non-stop sweating and kicking ass. It gets rarer and rarer though. Most games have subs and CVs and the low range/super floaty shells make for games of pure torture or utter boredom because you cant push but you still barely do damage. I don't get your problems with nevsky and petro dispersion.
Jinan is just the skill barrier for a true cruiser main. Either you go easy mode with Minotaur (if you want a light cruiser) OR you commit like the true sigma. Jinan is just my favourite CL and I got way more consistent games in it then in Mino or Worchester. So for me it's a skill issue. (Joke)
Petro was my first cruiser i got. When I got to the ship i didn't like it as it was so different from the previous ships. Now 2 years after I got it, i like it much better. The shell speed is just insane. It feels so unfair when facing a DD.
Moskva, Petro, Napoli, Nevsky are meta. Off meta you could take Venezia, Sevastapol, Minotaur, Des Moines, Goliath. In Typhoon we constantly see like double Moskva + Napoli divs and currently run Moskva, Petro, Nevsky with a gearing smoke
As a veteran player i am avoiding supershits because they break tier X and make it so annoying to play... (my poor Marlborough trembles at the sight of a Satsuma)
Nah, Hindenburg is just average. No utility and nothing to compensate either. It doesn't have insane anti-air and is bad against submarines. It's just ok, it would need a radar or a gimmick to get higher.
Yodo is weird. From pretty much every perspective, Takahashi does a better job than it despite having fewer guns and slightly weaker torps, simply because Taka turns so much better and hence can use both sides torps more effectively. This whole line looks like it’s about the guns because you get so many, but a smart player will be getting most of their damage from the 12k torps. Played at medium range, Taka can match the Japanese DD lines in sheer number of torps in the water, and don’t need to rely on reload boosts to do it so they can afford to use them tactically to steer enemies into your teammates lines of fire. The guns are a potent tool for when you get spotted or to finish off a target, but relying on them for your main damage source is a mistake.
Agree with most of the list. But id rate Hindenburg A, Gouden Leeuw D and Worcester C. Hindenburg even tho it has its weaknesess does well in any meta cause jack of all trades and it pumps out so much damage. Never disappoints. For me it beats Henri and Goliath. Gouden Leeuw is just sad. 60 seconds fires, horrible accuracy and no damage output. No idea why one would play it except masochism. Dont own a Marseille so i cant judge it. But i think its much better than Gouden. Worcester way lower because of the long range meta we got, its just way too situational in it. You often wont be able to do anything with the Worcester cause everyone and their mum runs away all the time. Lack of range and high shell arcs dont help at all here.
Nice 2nd interesting video, but what are the exact terms for: S,A,B,C and D? If I missed it in the first one - sorry, but I can't currently explain what the exact names of the letters are supposed to be. Thanks in advance
Happy Holidays. I tend to agree with your rankings. For me, Mino is an S tier. But you did explain it's tricky and smoke is not a cure all. I love deleting minos hiding in smoke with a Montana. But my best cruiser games have been Mino and Wooster. I can't get the Hindi just because I absolutely loathe the T8 and T9 ships to get to it. I played the T8 a few times and hated it. I just skipped it.
Really like you ranking the ships this is good and not a lot of info like this out there. atleast on youtube anyway maybe there is on some redit some place.
I feels like Worcester’s been powercrept by new lines and the nerf on radar range. If they return its original radar range, and a buff to its AA, then it might be back to this current meta.
100%, I don't like the ship at all anymore since the radar and AA nerfs and the addition of more powerful newer ships
Yeah. Most matches everyone and their mum kites. Worcester is awful in this meta.

She's almost a BB in a cruiser spot, which had its ups and downs.
I agree. Marseille is a very strong ship but not easy to play. But I would put her at least in B. On the other hand, I do not think that Worcester is S. Yes, the ship is good, but it is often too clumsy for the 9km aggressive radar play. Or in other words: with DM, you have more options. Most of us agree with PQ on this.
Surprised with your rating of the Marseille. It's fun and can be very impactful. Nothing like a well-timed reload booster ;-)
yeah and strong armor and guns for a cruiser and fast too if needed to retreat :)
And we'll timed and used repeir, or you burn to death.
I’d like to see tier list videos like these for premium ships as well
Its just matter of time I think

Marseile at D????. For myself it's a S but hey i guess we vibe different
Marseile at D its cringiest joke ive ever heard
I think Des Moines is not really S tier (for random battle) anymore since a few years ago because of the passive meta, CVs and now sub. A solid B for random and perhaps A or S for CB (if CV isn't present).
For my opinion I would choose Marseille,Gouden Leuw,Goliath,Hindenburg and Newski at first for S.
But it is interesting how different the thoughts about that are.
Everyone is different 🙂
Have a nice day
Marseille, once you get used to it, should honestly be A or S tier. On paper it's not brilliant, but the combination of speed, maneuverability and stealth, paired with excellent guns make it a rather formidable target.
At the very least it shouldnt be placed lower than zao and yodo.
Worcester? Really? I never see this ship ever, unless somebody is grinding out there TX christmas box.
Yeah it's been power crept to hell, plus the meta is way too passive ATM.
Poor Jinan. One of my best ships!!
Thought I could get away with skipping to the end, but now I have to see how you justify ranking Marseille a D... inconsistent with it's clan battles limitation where it's grouped with Petro and Napoli and you can only pick one of them. Appreciate the content.
Worcester beats Marseille head to head? smh
I'd put Marseille in S tier. Its one of only two ships on this list that is limited in clan battles.
I love Hindenburg. 82855 avr dmg. 264k dmg record.
Same. My favourite ship in the game. Holds my overall record with 309k (no arms race).
Sorry but that average is really bad for a farmer like Hindenburg. You should be sitting at about 100 - 110
Dude, that's a really bad average damage...
@@dzello Not everyone is unicum. That's way better than the average player I'd think
While they have different strengths and weaknesses, there's a reason you see both of these in KOTS (the former was so strong it was getting banned) and almost never see a Wster.
petro in a, it’s meh in a random
Well KOTS has a specific meta that doesn't really translate well to randoms. For example, Kremlin does very well in competitive because how tanky it is, it can hunker down and hold an area. But in randoms the meh accuracy really hurts the ship with all the long range spam
Naa, Nevsky is better than Wostr.
I don't know, I wreck face with the Marseille, and you can bounce most shots if angled correctly, and can just disintegrate things if they show broadside. Could just be how I play though, but the Marseille is one of my best performers.
I know that this tier list is subjective but it's still looks kinda cursed
It's almost like he has ONE cookie cutter playstyle and that's how he's grading things. Different ships have different play styles.
I mean yeah, tier lists are pure personal opinion.
Hi pq. How's it going. I just received the gorizia in a Santa container and was curious about your thoughts about this ship seeing how it's not on your list here. Do you have any videos that talk about this ship in depth or how best to play it maybe. Really enjoy your work here. Good luck and fair seas.
Great production! Thanks so much. I’ve been looking forward to this from you. Happy sailing!
Been playing the game since Beta and have ZERO interest in superships. Ditto for Carriers and Subs.
Thanks again PQ. Your hints and tips have greatly shaped my tactics and improved my enjoyment of the game.
Yeah i have thousand of hours on the Zao. But nowadays she is just bad. Sadly.
I have my best games in Goliath, I don’t know why, but I do love the Japanese cruisers. The HE just seems to hit harder and more consistently than any other line. Nice tier list!
Thats because IJN cruisers got improved accuracy.
@@gothia6515 yeah, they have DD dispersion
As a Worcester I always go for the supers. That insta-slaughter AA mixed with 37mm of pen with HE makes it a super killer. Landing shells on the superstructure of a SAT isn't hard at all. I burn 50k HP off T10/T11s in less than a minute and watch them run. Such an underrated ship in 2023/2024.
Good list. DM is my go to cruiser for sure.
As a first t10? Try to decently learn Buffalo too. She plays somewhat similar to other cruisers so you get some experience. DM has a very unique playstyle.
Also, enjoy Baltimore. She's probably a stronger t8 than DM a t10.
Des moines being above petro and nevsky is something special
DM is at least on par with those, it's still easily one of the strongest cruisers in the game. Worcester being higher, on the other hand, is a bit of an interesting choice to say the least.
Lol agreed.
I love my Venezia but man playing the lower tier cruisers in that line are some of the most painful experiences I've had in this game
i think petro is definitely S tier, quite broken,I think giving petro a burst fire,it can be a super ship
agreed. petro is only t10.5 because of somewhat random dispersion and the slow turrets. give petro a funny button similar to conde and we got a strong supership.
Agree with your take on Mino, high risk/reward with UK lights, have to say they are my favorite tech tree line.
Surprised to see Worcester in S tier.
You can 2 shot DDs with HE and reload booster as well. She's an easy A tier.
How the times have changed... when this game first came out and it only had 2 tier X cruiers (DM and Zao), the forums everywhere were FILLED with complaints asking to buff DM because it was so 'bad' compared to Zao.
honestly marseille is a great ship. try use it like a bourgogne it works great for me. i hardly ever had a bad game in it.
Nice list... fairly well done.
But Marseille in D is just wrong...
Yeah, should be swapped with Gouden Leeuw which is just a sad pile of nothing.
I suppose the best would be to play all of them and find which is the right fit for you
Completely disagree on Marseille. It’s an absolute beast!
Thank you so much. please make more I am addicted
Venezia was my first tier x and I absolutely love it
I just got my Worcester today, and it's great. Seattle wasn't all that bad. DM was my first cruiser. It was kinda funny I completed the supercontainer mission with on Seattle and got the Salem from it.
For me Hindenburg and Zao works as a S-Grade.
Thanks for your thoughts, interesting.
C for me
Radar Mino is S+
i would like to see a one take on Iowa
I would disagree on the point that super ships are something that everyone is going to look at having at some point. There are a great many of us who've been in the game for a long time who are making sure to stay away from anything super ship related. They are game breaking and I refuse to be part of that crime. Those so-called super ships are the reason that tier 10 and 9 have become so unpleasant. I have been playing 8s and below of late actually just to guarantee I'll never have to see a super ship and I got to tell you, it feels pretty damn good! I'll still take my Gearing, Somers or YY out every now and again though.
Nothing more satisfying that taking YY and making a super BB cry in chat xD
Nope, not looking at Superships at all, PQ. They have no interest to me.
Exactly
Annapolis and Condé look so juicy tho
@@aLUCAard2 Perhaps. But DM and Henri can about 90% fill those needs without the massive credit drain.
@@rjcolombe But monke funny button monke happy
@@aLUCAard2 I mean, go for it if it's your thing. They just don't appeal to me much for some reason.
You’re list is nuts!!
Legend. I asked for this vid yesterday haha
Mostly agree with this list, the only exception being Nevsky. I find her accuracy a lot better than Petro, and no worse than most other cruisers.
Zao was my first T10 ship and i love it to bits but it is a pain to play
it's not that hard. Just don't play her as a cruiser but as super heavy destroyer :)
I love the Des Moines, but in the grind when switching from Baltimore to Buffalo play styles, it was hard for my brain to adapt quickly.
It’s really strange how she has the biggest guns but meh damage
Talking about G Leeuw btw
I'm surprised you didn't have higher praise for the henry I f'n love that ship. One of the if not the best (tech line) cruisers in the game.
Thanks for the tier list, now I'm in 80k exp algerie and still confused on where to choose between cruiser or battlecruiser line
Battlecruiser!
The grind up to hindenburg is enough reason to make it B tier. Hipper and Roon are just... bad.
Agree. Roon is awful. But hindi is gold
I found Hipper and Roon to be alright. But DAMN Hindie is amazing.
@@nab4742 same ❤
Roon is fine, but unfortunately it has to be played differently....or at least backwards.
Positioned right both hipper and roon can be absurdly strong.
here in Brazil we have a saying the describes the Minotaur super well, "its either 8 or 80" xD
For this series I'm giving you an attaboy. ATTABOY!
Make a submarine ranking video (and put them all into E tier). 🔫
Goliath would be A for me for sure. Swap it with the boring asse Petropotatoe. Worcester in S tier?? Your tripping with that one. B I think.
(Joke)
If you want to be the true sigma you should main Austin, it's a Jinan with worse torps, no DPM and no smoke xD
IJN got so incredibly powercrept... "Look how they massacred my boiz!"
Petro was my first cruiser i got. When I got to the ship i didn't like it as it was so different from the previous ships. Now 2 years after I got it, i like it much better. The shell speed is just insane. It feels so unfair when facing a DD.
Worcester over Nevsky... pal it is ok, we are human, we do mistakes xDDDD
Worcester > Nevsky
How about T10 tier list cruisers for Clan Battle? I think it is not the same as Random Battle.. any suggestions?
Moskva, Petro, Napoli, Nevsky are meta. Off meta you could take Venezia, Sevastapol, Minotaur, Des Moines, Goliath. In Typhoon we constantly see like double Moskva + Napoli divs and currently run Moskva, Petro, Nevsky with a gearing smoke
I have no, none, zip, zero, zilch, interest in superships. I have several T10 ships, but I will not go to the supers.
thanks alot time saving and respect for help
As a veteran player i am avoiding supershits because they break tier X and make it so annoying to play... (my poor Marlborough trembles at the sight of a Satsuma)
Same dude, they ruin high tier and I don't wanna be a dick so I don't play them.
I'm a huge fan of Hindy. Maybe a B+/A-? Overmatch is why cruisers have been so hard to play last year or two. it's insane.
Nah, Hindenburg is just average. No utility and nothing to compensate either. It doesn't have insane anti-air and is bad against submarines. It's just ok, it would need a radar or a gimmick to get higher.
@@dzello Hence the B+/A- and not an A or S tier.
@@etdizzle10 No, it's literally just a B. In fact, it's on the lower end of the ships in that tier.

Marseille is one of the best CB ships at T10. CB needs to be taken into account for rankings, not just randoms.
Hindenburg is my favorite ship in the game. I think Hindi should be at least an A
Cleveland is that good it out performs most of the T10 cruisers. S TIER
I think the dispersion of the Petro is better than the Des Moines and Petros guns are all round just better. Still love Des though.
Next Dev blog: Clan battle restriction: Only one ship of DM, Worcester or Napoli.
Was there no Castilla when you uploaded this videi?
Happy Holidays. I tend to agree with your rankings. For me, Mino is an S tier. But you did explain it's tricky and smoke is not a cure all. I love deleting minos hiding in smoke with a Montana. But my best cruiser games have been Mino and Wooster.
I can't get the Hindi just because I absolutely loathe the T8 and T9 ships to get to it. I played the T8 a few times and hated it. I just skipped it.
Can’t wait to see Gearing as S tier DD in the DD tier list
The best tier 10 cruiser is clearly the one which can delete a smolensk in record time. Getting rid of that cancer sure is maximum battle impact.....
Try playing DM and Worcester in SEA server lol
Really like you ranking the ships this is good and not a lot of info like this out there. atleast on youtube anyway maybe there is on some redit some place.
