    Absolutely riveting

    I've used this technique. Less likely to drop them for sure. I bought 1000 micro beads which looks great but now like you my carpet is now 90% rivets

      Yeah it the tiny size and the glue spread problem. And you know that telltale sound when you vacuum and hear all these little clicks and rattles as the “rivets” suck up.
      P.s. Good to see your face on camera on your elevator video!!

      @thestateofplay2023 thank you very much. Didn't scared you away clawing at your own eyes then? Trying a green screen, still early days

    I love the idea of using pins! Quick question: What do you do with the trimmed ends? Throw them out? Knowing me, I'd drop them on the floor and step on them. That's just how I roll, some days.

      They get poked into the foam as shown in the video and disposed of inside the foam.

    A similar tutorial for adding the metal trim that Chaos Marines have on their personal armour and vehicles would be amazing

      😳 That’s incredibly specific. I’m guessing it’s something you’re looking at doing as a kit bash.

    Cheaper than getting the RP Toolz punch and die set =D

      I admit, I had to look that one up. Yeah, I’ll stick with the cheap pins and a wire cutter! 🤣

    No, old felt tip markers to be had. The sewing kits thimble worked a treat instead.

    What is balsa foam exactly? I live in Denmark - an apparently formless country where XPS is impossible to get and no one’s heard of sculpting foam. Except for EPS foam. We have that. But no one want to use that for their table.

    • @thestateofplay2023
      @thestateofplay2023  Рік тому +1

      I think balsa foam is just balsa wood dust mixed with a polymer, making it halfway between plastic foam and wood.
