Dude! We I am the master when it comes to forgetting keys, items on the grocery list, locking my back door, locking my car doors, turning off lights, switching from my slippers to my shoes when leaving the house. I KNOW what you mean by getting distracted and forgetting to leave comments!!! 😂😂😂
That's just phenomenal, Mr. Newman! Rode XDM-100 has been on sale for the last few weeks. There are USB only microphones aren't great & people have right to be concerned. I'm going to try to get that mic next year. Rode XDM-100 & Neewer LP boom arm equals mega awesome combination, lol! The software app is going to be an challenge. But, I'll find a way to get through it. Mega amazing review video, Mr. Newman (your Detroit Lions are kicking butt this year).

Plus, I don't have to use it as live streaming/video games like others do & that's the beauty of it! I'll continue to watch yours & other users videos on the mic/Unify app to get the hang of it.
I think I got this one's brother, the condenser version for like 60 bucks, I have disabled all the audio drivers for unify though LOL every time I turn on my computer it's starting to switch audio drivers around and next thing you know I don't have any sound that I got to go in there and tell it the one I wanted to use and it's been a nightmare so I just disabled all of it LOL. Just use it to change the DSP effects and then shut it down
Thanks! Quick question.. Since you have a couple very successful gaming channels, as a gamer....which software gets your endorsement as the cream of the crop? Wavelink, Motive Mix Virtual, or Unify? They all look awesome to me, but Im am a casual gamer, but don't stream enough to be able to even remotely consider my opinion on these 3 to hold any weight. Do you have a favorite that you use yourself?
I’m biased towards XLR mics so I put the Podmic USB slightly ahead. I think the XDM-100 has a little more presence on the bottom, but the Podmic is lighter in weight and easier for most boom arms to handle. The XDM is a load so you definitely need a heavy duty boom arms for long-term use. Both are amazing, but for gaming I give the XDM the edge, for podcasting, or livestream…I lean towards the Podmic USB.
Hi Mike! Actually, I understand that you didn't know about it, since you haven't had a chance to use it, but Røde Unify has been available on Mac computers for over a year. It seems to me that Røde released a beta version of the software on Mac a few weeks after the release of the software on Windows, and the definitive Mac version arrived later. As for myself, I've been using Unify on my Mac mini M2 for 6 months, after purchasing the PodMic USB which can be used with the software. And in those 6 months, I've even received at least two updates for Unify. All I can say is that the software has been working perfectly on my Mac for several months now. So you'll understand that I'm a little disappointed by your video, as I was expecting you to announce a new firmware update for the XDM-100, which I also managed to buy last month for barely a hundred euros... because I find the XDM-100 a bit less good than the PodMic USB, especially as regards the headphone output... Anyway, never mind. Happy New Year and Take Care! 😉

I couldn't get an answer from people I trust that the app was now out of Beta and working smoothly now without problems. I apologize if you are disappointed as to what the upgrade is that I covered in this video, however, this video is meant for the people (like me) who have wanted it, but can't get anybody they trust to definitely confirm that the bugs from the Beta version are gone, and is now good to go! As for the rush to get this video out and not spend another week or two diggin into the app more is I want people to get in on the sale before it goes back to being $249 Now that the Unify software DOES smoothly work on a Mac now. I 100% agree with you on the Rode Podmic USB. Although my reasons for giving it an edge is because of the smaller form factor and lighter weight that can be supported by budget boom arms if needed. Much easier to throw in a backpack on go do a podcast wherever you want via usb, especially on the road on vacations or work trips.
@@PigTownSports the Rodecaster duo and the Vocaster Two are my two favorites. I use Rodecaster for my UA-cam videos and Vocaster Two for my livestreams. Love them both!
