Mine just turned one , he gave us lots of love and joy ,he made me a better person, I love him more than anything and I can't ask for any better dog than him.He is so handsome and love giving, truly blessed to have him ❤️
They are truly awesome dogs. If dogs are aggressive, It's usually because of the way they were raised. That makes me really sad, because people love to blame the breed..... instead of the human.
So with the shar pei if you don't socialise them with other differant dogs and different types of people sometimes they will grow to be aggressive towards others because they are so territorial but it's the owners fault because they should of done their research.
Wrinkledogs by nature are suspicious of those they are not familiar with. Friendly and devoted family members. With that said they need social interaction as pups so they are not skiddish. Regular ear cleaning is important to keep from getting ear infections.
I took my black shar pei puppy to the vet last week and the vet assistants kept asking if she's actually a pure bred because they've never seen a black Shar pei before and she has a blue-black tongue. They thought she was mixed with chow🤦♀️
@@hellkittyninja7237 Black Sharpeis are beautiful. I just looooove my dogs. The Sharpei does have a blue/black tongue. I have never seen a purebred Sharpei with a pink tongue, to be quite honest.

@@hellkittyninja7237 Yeah, maybe you should consider going to another vet. I would if l were you. Not all vets are 100% clued up regarding Sharpei and we know that they need special care. I found an awesome vet near me who actually did a study on Sharpei. People come to him from all over, because he is really clued up on the breed. I also educated myself re the breed. Sharpei is not your "average" dog; as l'm sure you found out already. Lol. I just know that your baby will give you sooooo much love and joy. They are pure love and so funny. You will enjoy her so, so much. They are literally born house trained and that's a bonus. Both my dogs sleep on my bed. I just want them near me all the time. I love them so much. My male is 12 years old now and my female is 13.
Lost Lara, my shar pei after 7 years due to a stroke, had to put her to sleep. Still grieving. You have a lovely shar pei family. Lara looked just like Nico, just a female, Two comments: I walked my shar pei daily every morning, I have read they need about one hour of exercise per day. I only gave her about half an hour. Second, I read tennis balls are not recommended for dogs because they can harm their teeth, there's some thick rubber balls made for dogs, I got Lara those. Just saying, don't take me wrong, not trying to lecture you or anything, just thinking aloud. Enjoy those shar peis, thanks for sharing this video.
My blue sharpei Izzy passed right before her 4th birthday....she was the best dog ever....greatly missed! Love this video...thank you for sharing! ☺️ I always had to back her down by saying "love" Izzy "love"....she liked to play rough. 🤭 At night she would mouth the words roughly..but understandable. ..Goodnight or I love you. 😍
We lost our shar pei in March, she was only 6 yrs old. Since then, we've watched A LOT of shar pei videos on youtube & loved all of them, but this one is our favorite by far! All 3 of your dogs show how awesome shar pei's really are. They are gorgeous & their different personalities are so funny. Hope to see more videos of Sky & her brothers!!!
I know just how you feel. We lost out Shar Pei also in March of this year. He was a few weeks shore of his 17th birthday. He had just had a clean bill of health a couple of weeks before he passed away. Totally unexpected. Stroke. I cry every day. I watch these videos as well. Your little guy was lucky to have had such a wonderful family that loved him and will never forget him. ❤❤❤❤❤
We had a blue Sharpie. But he died last year, 2021. Our heart is broken. I loved him so much. We only had him just over a year. He was 10, but had throat Cancer. I love the blue ones the best. Good luck with yours.

Hi, I also have a blue sharpei, he's 4 1/2 years. I read you give them Hills Science large breed dogfood. Any recommendations you can give me, my dog Blu has hair loss in the inside of his legs. He's currently on Farmina Prime dog food. And i will be trying Hillsscience next.
Short answer no... They do not shed as much as other breeds do... However, there are a lot of factors that come into play with that answer... like what type of Diet, or what type of coat they have, also what the environment is like where they live...
It would shed noticeably but it still wouldn't be as much hair as most other breeds. We vacuum just about every other day and it keeps up with all 3 of our peis Hope that helps
