    When a screw is screwed into metal you need to put a small dab of removable lock tight and it will fix your problem. With anything, metal screw to metal it needs removable lock tight

      This is exactly right. A dab of loctite (or similar threadlocker product) on the threads of the screw will hold it in place. I've had this happen to clippers in the past. Be sure to clean the threads with alcohol first to remove any oil or other debris.

    I would’ve removed the screw put a little lock tight on the screw and put it back in. It won’t come out after that 👍🏾 and I’m sure it’s a cheaper and faster fix than shipping it back to babyliss

    I've cut about 500 heads in about 6 months using these clippers I haven't had a problem with the lover but I have had a problem with it clogging after a certain amount of haircuts this usually stops the motor before the battery even runs out. It is a workhorse as long as you keep it clean... I usually do both with my wall magic clips.

    I have the babyliss gold fx clipper for almost 6 months. The are a working horse at the shop but I’ve been having problems with it. They are either not turning on or sometimes it takes a few times flicking the switch to be turned on. It’s been a hassle lately.

    • @shawspeaks8252

      Send them back to Babyliss. I have a Friend who is also a shop owner, he says they have a great customer support. I never used it, I put lock tight on the screw and it fixed the problem. I don't use this clipper for full haircuts so I am sure they will last. The build qual is great but to me the power is more like that of a fast feed. Its a good clipper to me just dont like the price. Thanks for watching and even more for taking the time to leave a comment. Much Respect.

    Since you have been using these for a while now, can you tell if the knurled grip on these are all metal like it says on the packeging or rather chrome plated plastic like some reviews on amazon say? Have you ever used the chorded fx?

    • @DoritosResidue
      @DoritosResidue 4 роки тому +2

      I just received mine today!I had the same questions. Some parts look like cheap chrome plastic. But nope the whole thing including the knurled handle is metal watching these on UA-cam . It's an absolutely gorgeous clipper and really sets its self apart from Andis Wahl and oster . I'm transitioning all my clippers into cordless all metal clippers, I'm a sucker for build quality.

    I have used it for a week, but the clipper CUTS PEOPLE'S SKIN! I don't know what to do. I adjusted it but I can't find the right point to make it cut right and also short. I don't know if you know what can I do.

    • @shawspeaks8252
      @shawspeaks8252  4 роки тому +1

      I would say back them off a bit. Dont set them to close. If you need to get close use a trimmer or a balding blade clipper. You could also be pressing or digging to hard. if you cant get it set correctly take them to a barber you can trust and have them adjust them for you. nothing worse then leaving cuts on clients. I wish you the best, because they are a pretty good clipper. Thanks for watching and even more for taking the time to leave a comment.

      In Ohio they want all clippers that are not being used during the time of service on a client to be left in a sanitized state. they must be on a sponge that is damp to moist with sanitizer. Like H-42 or even just blade oil. They have been changing the rules a lot here lately with the merger of barber and Cosmo Board. You can hang them or have them off the sponge to charge but that is.

      Thanks, I had someone else tell me use Lock tight... I did and it worked. I think your way may work as well. Leave a link to the rings for others, a lot of people found the Lock tight to be helpful. They might feel the same about the rings. Thanks for watching and even more for leaving such a helpful comment. Comments really means a lot to me. Much Respect and Stay safe

      Shaw Speaks I use the screwdriver that came with the product

      try the same size screwdriver head I would say a #2 with a normal handle, it will give you more leverage. If that doesn't work, I would say the screws could have been cross threaded. I don't see that being the case from the factory but its possible. Give that a try and let me know if it works. Much Respect.
