Yup this is how mine currently sounds. I took it apart cleaned out really well and adjusted and still loud. For sure one of the clippers that started getting loud too soon.
Finally...a video for the main clipper instead of the trimmer, thanks guy! Mine took almost 8-9 months before getting crazy annoyingly loud. I'm about to order that new blade now & give my feedback once I install it
Yo... My new blade came, I put it on a couple days ago & now it sounds quiet as when I first bought it last July 2020. It didn’t start getting loud until maybe this past April 2021. But...will I have to buy a new blade every time it gets loud??? The new blade works though! Thanks guy
@@cbbpsilk Hey CBreeze, awesome i'm glad that blade replacement worked! I think you pretty much have to replace the blade whenever it starts getting loud. I will definitly update the video if babyliss ends up selling those ceramic pieces. That would be a cheap fix.
Omg! This video probably just fixed my noise problem! I notice when I put on a guard 3 and lower the noise sounds so ridiculously loud. I actually bought new guards thinking those may be the problem. I bet my problem is this! Tyyyyy!!
Aye man you saved me from spending $300 + by watching this video ! I was ready to buy a new clipper but I got the black taper blade now it's back to being silent ! Thanks alot
Nice explanation video. My Babyliss broke one of the metal wires that hold the white part. The wire broke on the bottom, how should I fix it? Please let me know thanks. J
Hey bro I have a question.I just got my bbliss w the fade blade but I don’t feel the blade cut very very good, I don’t feel that great power and I don’t know if it’s the blade or the clipper? This is my first one and I’m very disappointed.
What if that pin you are talking about becomes loose? Would I just put it back on with some super glue? Or do I just yell at it until it works again? Seriously though mines is loose and the blade won't move anymore
I'm a barber whose been in the business since the 90's. I went through 3 sets of these clippers because of the same issue. And although the video was very informative, the NEW cam will wear out in 3 to 4 months as well. So the best bet is that UNTIL BABYLISS FIXES THE ISSUE.....don't buy em'!
Is the oil at the end a good idea? I am worried, that more hair will stick in the machine because of this (like hair sticks on something that's wet but fall of from something that's dry, I you guys know what I mean).
After replacing the blade my babyliss came with, it now doesn’t cut cleanly. It catches and Boggs to often. Is that a blade reason or is there something I did wrong when replacing the blade?
Mine sound louder when the balde is on 0.5 but sounds fine when it's closed? Any ideas? Their only a week old so maybe that's just how they are. But would be nice to know
@@Nate-hw1oe maybe we're both tripping lol Andi's cool care seems to sort them out for 1 cut but I can't keep going through cans of cool care each week 😂 could be the cam follower but I don't feel like getting new blades just to get a new cam follower for a issue that might not even be there 🤷♂️
I've tried a couple ways to fix the snags but replacing the blade is your best option. Basically the blades are not sitting completely flat on top of each other.
I just cleaned my wife’s clippers out. Once I took off the cutter blade there was a foam insert on the inside which collected a lot of hair. I noticed yours didn’t have the foam. Any reasons why??
I've noticed some with and some without - seems like the manufacturer started adding these foam inserts at some point. They are pretty difficult to clean, if you have a good method please share!
Well my man, as you know I just bought that new blade about a month ago. That blade piece is already going bad, I just checked it while cleaning it out & to see if by hair being in them was making it start getting loud again. But yeah it’s that same piece smh. Any other clipper suggestions instead of buying new blades every time the clipper gets loud?
I see a lot of barbers using Andis oil on all the machines they own. All manufacturers make high quality oil to protect these machines so I would guess they are all ok
This was useful information! I would’ve never thought to replace the cam follower, thanks! Hopefully you can find a way to make the andis master cordless lol.

Can I send mine to you ? I’ve had it with this brand but have too much money in it to just throw them away, cause that where I’m at - straight to the trash can 😖😖😖
Nice video man. I have some babyliss just like the ones on the video. The still blade wiggles from the right side. Like crazy. I can’t find what’s wrong with it any idea ?
Hello Felix, thanks for the comment. What I would probably do first is take the blade off, clean it out really good and put it back together. Its possible that the screws are loose. Another thing to check is the blade adjustment lever on the side. If that is loose, the blade will also wiggle. Too much tension and the blade will be really hard to adjust, you want to have kind of a medium tension on that screw.
Hey Pepa, do you know what piece it is? Babyliss is pretty limited on what repair parts they sell. I do not believe they sell any replacement parts except for the blade assembly.
Very informative was having this exact problem with my clipper i stopped using it i just ordered another blade for it cant wait to put it together thank u for this informative video I appreciate...i knew that plastic peice is what was making that loud noise
Thanks for the video, great information. I’ve found there’s another piece that makes it loud which is the metal bracket that slides the blade up and down. (what the lever is screwed into) If that gets bent from a fall then the bracket doesn’t fit properly and creates large amount of vibrations.
@@Lovecod913 Hey apologies for the late reply. I ended up replacing the lever with the spare they had in the box and that seemed to fix the noise somehow? I think it was the tiny washer that sits between the screw holding the lever in. I may have lost it taking it apart and that somehow made enough of a gap for vibrations and noise.
I have 2 babyliss fx clippers and one is quiet and the other one which I bought off ebay is loud as the one you just fixed. I tried switching the one that's quiet to the loud one and it's still loud! What do you think it is??
Hey Eloy, that was a good idea switching them out. I would check the little pin that sits on top of the motor, sometimes that can be loose. Also check the motor to see if its loose. They should both be really tight and not wiggle at all. Also, just to double check yourself, get a brand new blade and put it on the loud one. If it doesnt work, at least you will have backup blade.
That’d not how it supposed to sound a all. Video was ok but didn’t show the real problem, the real problem could be dropping it and the blade bending and grinding too hard together. That’s most likely it. That sounds terrible at the end. Problem was not fix.
Bro Thankyou so much, spent 300$ on the clipper / trimmer set before I realized that Babyliss doesn’t service them.

It's not really at bulk more of a fading clipper
When u buy the new blades does that white part come with it? Wanna order it but its not showing that white part anywhere
Normally it does come with it.

Lol. If it's within the 2yr warranty period I would just send it in. Could try some super glue but that would void any warranty.

If you want to change blades, just keep the original white cam follower in place and just replace the metal top and bottom blade.
