This circuit is able to indicate the charge level of a battery, and is designed for 12V batteries.. each LED represents 1.2V (12V / 10 LEDs).. and during normal operation the first Red LED indicates 8V while the last Green LED indicates 12V. You can make the calibration of the Volt Meter by put 12V on the circuit and turning the trimmer until all the LEDs turn ON. With the special round design of this PCB we can use as Volt-Meter car Tuning!
    What is a voltmeter?
A voltmeter is an instrument used for measuring electric potential difference between two points in an electric circuit. Analog voltmeters move a pointer across a scale in proportion to the voltage of the circuit; digital voltmeters give a numerical display of voltage by use of an analog-to-digital converter. Voltmeters are made in a wide range of styles. Instruments permanently mounted in a panel are used to monitor generators or other fixed apparatus. Portable instruments, usually equipped to also measure current and resistance in the form of a multimeter, are standard test instruments used in electrical and electronics work. Any measurement that can be converted to a voltage can be displayed on a meter that is suitably calibrated; for example, pressure, temperature, flow or level in a chemical process plant.
After trying the excellent service offered by JLCPCB I recommend it, the quality of the PCB is high, customer service is always available and professional, the time of realization is short and the delivery of PCBs is by express courier. JLCPCB is a great place to get hight quality custom circuit boards at an extremely low price, you can buy 5 PCB Boards (Any Color) for 2$ !!!

Man! I guess you are obsessed with this chip! :) I have seen your videos from years ago about how to hookup these chips correctly and that is how I came to know about these amazing bargraph displays.. now, years later i see you are still doing cool stuff with this 😊 Keep up!

LM3914 - LM3915 - LM3916 they are among my favorite ICs, as they allow me to create various types of LED indicators, meter etc :)

    • @Stefano91ste
      @Stefano91ste  3 роки тому +1

Hey Stefan I like this a lot.. do you mind if I copy this and make one for my truck and my boat? I am 68 and not much of an electronics fellow.. (I just started to teach myself 2 years ago for something to do in the winter time). I am not sure how to get the folks at this jlcpcb place to make me a board.. But if you agree to let me copy this a couple of times maybe you can also help me to get these ordered.. You have a great video program here. I have been watching for a little over a year now and have learned a few things here.. I was a carpenter all my life and I appreciate the smoothness in which folks that are good at what they do work.. I am trying to be only a fair worker with electronics.. since my age tell me I won't be here long enough to make a good one.. Take care little brother.. carry on and remember to have fun in life.. that is one of the most important things you can do..

I'm also a beginner in circuitry. I ordered my first set of PCBs from JLC like a month ago. I got a set of Stefano's hand clap PCBs and a set of LED boards that BigClive made available for download. It was super easy and super quick!
If you watch this video at 2:30 he shows exactly how to place the order for these boards on the JLCPCB website.
You just download the file from the link he has in the video description ( bit.ly/30gv59d ) and upload it to JLCPCB, pick the color, then add to cart. The rest of the checkout is pretty much like any other checkout process for buying things online.
I'll say, getting my very first order of PCBs was really exciting! :D

      Hi tinkmarshino,
I thank you so much! Of course you can make my PCB - in the video description I shared the pcb file, to be uploaded directly to the site (jlcpcb.com) and order 5 PCBs for $ 2 + shipping costs. I share my PCBs so that those who see my videos can replicate them for personal or educational use :)
Use this procedure to order PCBs
      1) Download the project files (link in video description) or here: bit.ly/30gv59d
      2) Register on jlcpcb.com/ if you don't already have an account
      3) Follow the procedure in this video starting from 2:30
NB: You can choose the color you want for the board.
If you need more help completing your order, ask me here!
