Peyote gets easier once you get past the first four rounds. Don't ask me about the counting I'm still working on that 🌹

I'm a left handed person and my grandmother just didn't have the patience to teach me to crochet. I learned in my own after watching many elders. I wish there were tutorials for left handed people especially on little stitches such as this!
I understand what your doing, it makes perfect sense. Then my hands and brain get involved and I end up with a whole lot of tangled mess. I just can't get past the first 4 rows. Wouldn't it be nice if you could buy kits with the first 4 rows done for you. I even saw that you, an expert had to stop and look at what on earth was going on.
omg! yes i had the same issue, what also kept happening for me was that the little end strings would get stuck with the beading process. I totally agree!!
Use delica seed beads don't just buy any old thing. The roundness on the things and inconsistency had me thinking I forgot how to do it. I said okay I will use my expensive ones works up straight and even as they are all uniform. They just don't zigzag right when they aren't all the same size.
Awesome tutorial! Just wondering why you don't turn your work at the end of each row so your always working right to left? Is it just personal preference or is there a specific reason?

Woulda ever liked to see the end bead added on the even count, but the camera was too far away.
So when you complete all your base rows it halves your width? If you are trying to eyeball how wide the finished product halve the base chain? ( Crocheter also). Everybody do yourself a favor and spend extra for delicas. I have tried and tried with 'craft store level ' beads and they just don't stack right at all even in brick.
so easy with delicas.. round beads have me saying stuff that I cant repeat.

Very difficult to see the technique on this light background. Using 6mm beads would have been much better to see exactly how the actual pattern is executed.

Old eyes here! A closer zoom and beads contrasting from background would help. Otherwise good job.

depends on the size of your beads, and the size of your wrist and the width of the bracelet.
divide the sive of your wrist by the size of your beads and thhats the number of beads for the first row, the rest of the rows are half the number of beads in the first row.

Hello, technically I understand the tecnique, but I don't understand why my line with this pattern goes diagonally not straight? I am confused .. :( What I am doing wrong?

What are Delica beads? How are they different from what we see in the craft stores? That is confusing. Are there any books with diagrams that show us how to do this. Every video I’ve watched has giving me a headache… Lol … Not to be rude, it seems everyone goes rather quickly and we are straining to see what is going on… You were so far is the best one.
You can slow the videos down in the settings if they are going too fast for you. Just an idea. Also the beads are called Miyuki Delica beads, if you search for them they should come up. They are more of a flat sided bead rather than a round edge bead so they fit together like bricks if that makes sense?

How to remove the first bead
Hi @Rafiya, to remove the first bead, just feed the tail back through the same direction it exits, it will help to loosen the bead and allow you to slide it off.
Still hard to see with the two different colours maybe use darker beads and maybe do a more close up otherwise it’s ok tutorial

It's the lighting, it's over-exposed, so either dim the light slightly or alter the camera's aperture.

This comment is not just Addressed to your tutorial.... it seems that all of the videos one go to quickly, to the beads are too far away for us to really see clearly what everyone is doing, should be done under a magnifying glass much more slowly so that we can really get a clear picture of what is going on and I do believe the work should be turned and have explained you were going from left to right and right to left etc. small details are very important in teaching. As I teach hand appliqué I am Ridiculous and the fact that I teach every little detail humanly possible so that everybody can get it…

Why dont you use a darker backgrounf

It is very hard to see as you are using cream beads on cream background.
Why not just collect the number beads per row all at once on the needle and pass the needle through all of them, instead of doing each bead individually?
good idea in theory,but I’m pretty the beads wouldn’t stack the way they do if you tried that,one bead at a time,to make shure their all stacked nicely,

Why do you say that this is 8 beads across when the 8 beads split out and become two rows?
Hi Julie! Great question. The peyote stitch is created by the interlocking segments. Each "row" is consisting of one up and one down totally the number of beads at the start, in this case 8.

There is not enough contrast between the beads and the background. With 13k subscribers, hire professional photographers/ videographers and editors. Also, not trying to be rude, but the word "across" is not pronounced with a "t" on the end.

I could see the beads just fine with the contrast provided. This video was well done, well lit, and easy for me to see. And it was FREE, you didn't pay to watch it. You may not have been trying to be rude, but you came across as rude anyway. Go take a look at yourself in the mirror and make sure you like who you see.

You have an extra space after the word "background," you have an extra space after the slash you put between "photographers/ videographers" (and it is not written correctly anyway), and you have an extra space after the word "editors." You're not perfect. Clean up your own backyard.
