Nice driving 👌 Temps are getting serious! I am looking Forward to install a intercooler for this reason! High Air inlet Temp resulting in high engine temps etc... What mods and oil are you running? Maybe we see eatch other at the Ring this Year...😉 Regards from another FL5 Driver ✌️
@@Bexter_85 yeah just a bit high this time round 🫣 I’m thinking similar intercooler and bigger rad try do something. I’ve already got an oil cooler to try help. My other mods are cobra exhaust and braided brake lines with better fluids that’s it 👍 normal 0w20 oil Yeah we are over in October if your around 😎
The Cayman GT4 clearly had an enormous power advantage over you in the straights but you seemed to claw it all back, and more, under braking and through the corners. Great driving! 👍
@@DrBobtheblob cheers 👍 I always do wonder what the civic would be like with 400bhp to keep up on the straights then I would disappear through the corners 😂
@@trackharry I used to track an FK8 with 426whp, the added power did not help much on track; the car just ended up overheating + heatsoaking much quicker and it would just pull timing to where the extra power was working against me. This was with a bigger radiator, intercooler and vented grill. It was FBO including turbo. It was also supposed to be a "conservative tune" that would allow me to track it effectively but it just ended up sucking after the 3rd hot lap. Cooling is the Achilles heel of the Type R and I think it's just a bad design by Honda. If you want endurance stock power is the only way, if you are chasing lap times you have maybe 3 good hot laps with a tune depending on where you are and then the car is gonna get hot. Not to be a downer, maybe Honda did better with the FL5 cooling system, maybe it will work for you.
What oil are you using? And when do you change it?
@@3dprinteros after this day we changed it because it got so hot roughly around every 4 or 5 track days just to try and help the car 👌
@@trackharry Which exact oil are you using? and Honda OEM 0-20?
@@3dprinteros yeah Honda oem 👌
Nice video 🔥 at 0:43 that STI is nice, seems to pull away wonder what it's specs were.
@@panderalexander not to sure on the spec just know it was on full slicks 👍

@trackharry Is it normal to run 0w20 in a turbo engine over there? that's insane.
@@CTF33 yeah comes out the factory with it 👍
I would run thicker for track use.
Is there any oil radiator (or intercooler) available in the market to add to the oem config?
@@sergiodifranco4380 yeah I have an oil cooler and looking at bigger radiator and a intercooler hope that will help 👍
I hate those Porsche sandwiches! Good driving!

That's definitely a driver problem lol

147*C oil is no joke... Hope you flush it the same day because it's cooked.
@@SL1DEwot yeah we dropped it out and put fresh in 👍
Are you stock?
@@joshtw7865 oil cooler, exhaust, braided brake lines everything else is stock 👍
