Yeah always went up pretty fast with out itat the start dunno if I’m driving a little bit more now as well to get better lap times and it doesn’t like it 🫣

@@robreeves9825 if money was no object and could get a new set every time then the a052 would be the choice 👍. Just waiting to see how many days I can get out of the cr-s to help make the overall decision. For grip with the cr-s they feel just at good as the 52s 👌

It’s the driver, the Porsche should be many many seconds a lap faster than the Civic but the pilot is either inexperienced or just not pushing (looks like inexperienced). Civic is well driven too, not being very brave on the brakes but that is forgiveable with a (presumably) loved one in the passenger seat hehe

@@trackharry I used to track an FK8 with 426whp, the added power did not help much on track; the car just ended up overheating + heatsoaking much quicker and it would just pull timing to where the extra power was working against me. This was with a bigger radiator, intercooler and vented grill. It was FBO including turbo. It was also supposed to be a "conservative tune" that would allow me to track it effectively but it just ended up sucking after the 3rd hot lap. Cooling is the Achilles heel of the Type R and I think it's just a bad design by Honda. If you want endurance stock power is the only way, if you are chasing lap times you have maybe 3 good hot laps with a tune depending on where you are and then the car is gonna get hot. Not to be a downer, maybe Honda did better with the FL5 cooling system, maybe it will work for you.

@@Bexter_85 yeah just a bit high this time round 🫣 I’m thinking similar intercooler and bigger rad try do something. I’ve already got an oil cooler to try help. My other mods are cobra exhaust and braided brake lines with better fluids that’s it 👍 normal 0w20 oil Yeah we are over in October if your around 😎

@@julien1681 😂 civic struggles with straight line speed to be honest every where else it got it but against cars with automatic gearboxes they seem to pull and a good driver in the golf helps 👍

​@trackharry totally, that dsg is very efficient and with the 4wd, that makes it a very serious opponent. I m a honda fan so I ll choose the honda any day. But that golf is serious

@@diogocosta9513 they was stock pads and discs Ali has always used them since having the car around 4 years ago and he never found any issues with them also stock suspension check him out on UA-cam if u want under the name trackali 👍

@@HondaK20 thanks 🙏 yeah suspension works well for stock and with the modes u can feel the difference in comfort mode on the Nurburgring over type r mode little bit too bouncy

@@trackharry the weakness of the Block is quite common in germany, but not well known in other countries. The short-block is the same from FK2R on... Expierience from FK2R & FK8 is, that the car drives fine long time with worn head-gasket & even cracked cylinders without signs of a damage... Unlike Focus RS III the K20C1 won't tell its damage with white exaust-gas. First the head-gasket will torn out, leading to positive RELD-Test. Then little coolant-consumption will occour. As the gasket is getting worse you'll notice temporary overheat-warnings when exhaust-gas builds a bubble at the temperature Sensor. At first the shaking cylinders wear the gasket, then they crack themself and in the end they damage the head... A upgrade gasket with arp-studs isn't a sollution, as the gasket is a symptom not the reason. Only a closed-deck-mod or sleeves help. My english isn't the best... ;-)
