You may feel that way now, but if you enjoy it, stick with it. It took me about a year before I could make a decently animated character, but it feels very rewarding once you get it down. However, if you ever feel frustrated, take a break, try to examine any mistakes and think of a good way to fix them, and also reflect on how far you've come from when you first started. Also try to remember, nobody is good when first starting out. Good luck, I believe in you!

This is definitely my favorite tutorial I've seen so far. It's a reasonable length, and just the right pace where it's fast but not too fast to know where you are. I'm new to Blender (~8 months) and I've been using this as my daily driver for "oh, I forgot a good method for this" or "am I taking too long or skipping important steps in creating a character from scratch?" It's no surprise that the most helpful tutorial I've personally found was made by the Blender team themselves.
If the full course is made like this, then I'll definitely be taking a look at it all in depth in the coming days.

Very good video about character workflow on blender.
It would be amazing a series of videos in this style but targeted to a complete animation production, talking the basics about what are Drivers, Library Overides... not explaining exactly how to use then, but what features you should look for in each production stage. That would be good to show studios the basic workflow/pipeline in blender, and convince them to try it.

Make a stylized cartoon character Ian Hubert-style:
"Okay, take a 3D scan of yourself. Let's call it "Ian". Looks good!
Make a cube. Subdivide it and use a shrinkwrap modifier to make it look like your scan.
Take a picture of yourself and add it to the color value of the default principled BSDF. In edit mode, hit 'U, project from view'.
Scale up some features to make it cartoonish.
    Add moths for realism."

Honestly this is a really useful video. As well, I’ve been trying to develop my skill but hitting a mental block of “so what do I do now?” So having the whole process start to finish is really helpful as it can give me a general feel for where I am currently at with my work, and what steps I need to take next.
It is a little nerve-wrecking because part of you goes “oh dang there’s so much I still have to learn to do well” but the hardest step is knowing where to go… so thanks once again

I don't know how to set up a system that is a time saver, easy to use, versatile, drop audio it talks, drop a bvh or an fbx and it dances, without errors and fails at every turn.
