I think that if they do another 'race to be the first' type of event for these things, then they shouldn't release /any/ information about the bosses ahead of time. Everyone should be forced to learn via encounter the first time, prepare decks on the go, no preparation.Would make the events a bit more interesting at least.
Cloudski Wouldn't work, people datamine the files beforehand to learn the boss's full deck, hero power, and events. It'd just encourage everyone to cheat that way if they didn't release any info.
And they sot of have to have those files there ahead of time or it becomes unfair for people with slower download speeds...
DunkScrubs Release patch an half-hour to hour ahead of time to accommodate. If people have too slow an internet connection for that time-frame, they are not streaming and therefore not eligible for the contest anyhow.
If people are desperate enough data-mine the files in that time frame, well... pretty sure that Blizzard would review the footage of the 'world first' and notice if the decks were prepared ahead of time.
Either way, takes a lot of the 'worth out of it, in my mind, to allow people to theorycraft ahead of the events. Coming up with decks on the fly is more interesting than just using prepared deck #5 to win.
EDIT: OF course, that would also mean Blizzard would have to have the competence to optimize their file systems to be easier to patch in each week without having to re-download basically the entire game. :/
Cloudski I don't think they should do anymore races at all. It's boring as fuck watching them ignore 90% of the new content and facerolling through like a potato. The binding of isaac team put it best when they said stuff like this is: "Eating a $100 steak in one bite."
ExplosionRadius While I agree it is rather dull compared to a fully reacted video, I have other people to watch for those. I also don't really miss much, since I have the content myself to play... Which I do before I watch any YT videos on the matter to avoid spoiling it. I didn't know any of the cards ahead of time either, since I avoided all the reveals completely until I played, same with GvG. :P
Cloudski i find it stupid thats its a "race" yet they release one wing at a time, someone coulda skipped all other wing openings, done them the day before this one came out, and then won the last wing and get all the glory

This race for Blackrock has really ruined the expansion for me. Trump's raid on Naxx was so fun to watch (possibly my favorite part of the whole expansion), seeing him react to all he crazy bosses and cards. But now he spoils all the fights for himself and it's basically like watching constructed games against 5 year olds. When the next expansion comes out I really hope Twitch doesn't do this...

*I want to start out by saying that I still love the content that Trump puts out.*
I'm not a big fan of the speed runs that Trump has done with Blackrock (at least in normal Blackrock). I like seeing his progress from start to finish, but he didn't do that this time. I really wanted to see him react more to the lines that the ai says and I wanted to see his reaction to the hero powers, but he is rushing through all of it without really paying much attention to all that. I'm going to continue to watch because I still love his stuff, but I really needed to get that off my chest.

I was lucky and played Kel´thuzad right before the animation even started for the Nef board wipe, all my minions died and came back instantly so I didn´t even know it was a wipe xD

Nefarian is the first boss from both Naxx and BRM to beat me on normal difficulty. If you don't know that he destroys all your minions on the third part of the fight, you screw yourself over super hard.

What does clearing a wing mean? I thought it was only the normal mode. Do you have to do class challenge and heroic too so you can say that you cleared the wing?

I played against Atramedes using mech mage and had a snowchugger out early. I got to freeze him every turn, so I managed to kill him without ever using a weapon destroy. Unfortunately I didn't get any special message for it, like I did after killing Thaurissan and Moira.

Cantou The 10/2 boss is actually the first boss in 85BWL (blackwing depth). Each wing is one instance in blackrock mountain, and there are 5: 60 BRD, 60 MC, 60 BRS, 60 BWL and 85 BWD.

There are almost no decks in the current meta that don't use naxx cards.
And there is no deck that doesn't use Emporor Thaurrisan
Fun fact: after you kill blackwing 15 health dragon he plays a spell that kills all minions. However it does not kill divine shield minions. My Tank was unharmed and I won because of it. Was just a lucky run.

I actually did the laboratory with one priest deck, one try each. im not sure if i did it right...
I used a force savage deck for nefarian
I did the first 3 bosses on normal with my gazlowe rogue in 14 minutes.. only nefarian took me 3 tries. so i ended up 30 minutes oO

Atramedes - Warlock Handlock (Play very few cards and destroy weapon only when it gets just too big)
Nefarian - Warlock Handlock (Again) Played Alexstrazsa before removing his armor, made sure to have something big for Onyxia. Then Nefarian returns with 15 health and hopefully few cards in hand.

He made a deck for each fight... I beat all the bosses on normal with one deck without retrying.
I have to agree and say speed runs are annoying and boring to watch. And yes I can go watch another channel, but trump is my #1 hearthstone player because he is normally so calm and tranquil, the speed run ruins that for me
