Should be 0 mana gain 20 armour and fill your hand with 4 mana 7/7s.

well also the medivh fight is so ffing easy, but he kept messing up stuff and ignoring insane value like oh why dont i use the fre spells, then cast the + spellpower, then cast the spells that gain double from spellpower...
That first game could have been won so much faster.

That first game triggered me so hard. I mean i suck at this game but Trump seemed to be in tilt mode for that whole game.

Trump is horrible at playing new decks, this was painful to watch.
I literally had to skip the first match, it was too much! LOL
But of course! Medivh's deck strategy is a combo deck, not a simple super value deck.
Lol this deck was easy to play too literally a free win.

Really, if they had just decremented the mana cost to 0, it would have had the potential of being a great card that would actually see play.

Yeah, I think people really undervalue the PvE stuff. It's pretty fun on its own, if they sold it without new cards, I'd probably pay some money for it.
That first game... It was so painful to watch.
So bad, you play the two guys who dup spells, then oyu use the 0 mana spell, and unload on face. You're guaranteed to redraw the combo again. SO simple.
Exactly. Had an insanely amazing combo. And just wasted it.
while the combo is strong, you are actually NOT guaranteed to draw the combo again, as the percentage of "your spells cost 0 mana" you put into your deck is significantly lower than the number of burn spells. that said, the combo is unnecessary. i won before turn 10 on my second try. i had full health and 41 armor left.
actually magic power times 2 plus 2 arcane missiles is 4 cards, if you are out of cards when you try it you would draw into it each turn until the generator dies.

I wish the Heroic Silverware Golem's power was "4 Mana: Summon a 7/7 Plate"
I love the idea that Medivh is so powerful that he can organise a Gatsby-esque party, while fighting a horde of demons.

In malchezaar I got that spell that makes all your spells cost 0 for a turn and I played that card that summons a random legendary and I got antonidas... Ez heroic
trump crlearly didn't understand how important was the 3 mana = spells cost 0... i mean, it would have been so much easier

I love the intro level where you play as an over powered as all hell Medivh. Nothing like a good power trip.

I didn't realize this when i was playing through it but I like the Beauty and the Beast reference with the silverware golem's hero power.
It's not just the Hero Power, it's the entire deck.
It's kind of sad that Blizzard can create a n adventure boss (silverware golem) that has more synergy than priest.
This seems like a really fun adventure. I like it when they do something with the adventures that completely changes the way Hearthstone works, and gives you a unique challenge. I especially like the Chess game mechanic, that was simple yet clever.

I'm LOVING this adventure. The challenges are so inventive, I love the chess one and hope it gets a tavern brawl, and the dialogue is hilarious. My only problem is that I hope Medivh comes back soon, love his voice actor and dialogue.
It must be hell of a sight, Spellbreaker hitting plate while saying "Die, mage!"

The deficit between going first and second would be pretty much impossible to balance.
Maybe, but nobody proposed it as a competitive tournament mode. It is fun to play and with both players having the same hero power i don't see a problem, maybe make them both draw a chess piece instead of discover one, to give more rng ?
SpaceMonkeyEntertainment I have to agree, with just a few more tweaks and changes Hearthstone chess could be a mode on its own.
Niko Sokolowicz I don't think so, it's Hearthstone so anything can happen. Like how about the player going second already has a weaker piece in play? Or the player going second gets 2 coins instead of 1?
I got decimated the first time I played this guy and I thought it was impossible but I watched your video (since it was the first to pop up) and I saw your strategy and I started laughing from how powerful and trolly it was and needless to say I beat the dude both on normal and heroic first try (and I really appreciate it since I’m f2p and the cards that I got for beating him are gonna be really useful) thanks man you just got a new sub

I always wondered who could have built Karazhan. Medivh was not known to hold balls, feasts, plays, or to even welcome guests, so all the human ghosts we see and fight were there before him occupying the tower. And humans are not a very old race, especially not down south where Karazhan is.

Wow I was hoping to see Trump struggle a bit with the Priest Class Challenge. Not sure if he was a bit lucky or I was just really unlucky. Didn't get any early game other than Power Word Pains and Holy Smite my first try and got overrun. Second try I found out the deck had excavated evil, used it on a full board, immediately got hit with the summon 5 plates card which I didn't even see when I played through the wing normally. Third try got overrun again. I think fourth I finally started with Cleric and was able to board control the plates.
I think you were just unlucky. The only match i lost was my first match from the prologue for similar reasons. hand full of arcane blasts and arcane explosions. never even saw the 0 mana or summon a legendary card before i died.
You just got really unlucky. I had a lot of success with the priest challenge. A lot of good synergy!

Plates, cups, knives, spoons, throw in some Deadly Forks, a Legendary or two, etc.
Rolling antonidas on the random legendary for the first one is so satisfying.

god... i forgot how fun it is when an adventure comes out, even if it's only 1 mission (for me since i'm poor). getting melchazar to fatigue with the archmage 2/4 minion is just too much fun

Getting your random legendary minion as the ascendant who gives you health every time you cast a spell while you currently have over 20 arcane missiles per card, stopping to do the spell effect after each and every arcane missile hit is not recommended. I had this happen to me and it was as ridiculously slow as it sounds.
This story gives off the vibe that it could be a point and click cartoony game lol
Well the constructed deck in Priest's class challenge showed some ways to use Purify. Maybe we have some tips now.
I got Malygos out of one of the Random Legendaries... you can't even imagine how much fun I had with that and the 2 Spell DMG +5's ohhh it felt so good
The legendary minion I spawned from the "summon a random legendary minion" card, made it so that every time I cast a spell I had a fireball added to my hand. Then I used the spell that made my spells cost 0 this turn and I just kept fireballing.
Jerrin Morgan someone beat me with that tactic the other day. I was too surprised to be mad about it.
Interestingly if you play Sorcerers Apprentice against the mirror he says "that's my favorite card! I bet your favorite card is Magma Rager!"

I enjoyed running through these bosses as Medivh and surprisingly a standard Yogg Mage cleaned up quite well.
The only real difficulty I had was the priest class challenge which was easily the hardest part of the expansion so far.
The Zoo vs Mirror actually worked well for me.

I Had The Most Hellish Time Trying, With The Only Complete Deck I Had, To Beat Karazhan On Heroic. That Deck? Razakus-Anduin Priest With Medivh And A Few Alterations From The Velen Version. I Didn't Do All Bosses With That Deck, I Remember Doing Netherspite With A Taunt-And-Tiny-Minions Hunter, Just Trying To Get Him To Low Roll. I Think There Were A Few Other Bosses I Did With Specialized (With Whatever Assortment Of Cards) Decks. It Was Late At Night. I Wanted To Scream. Charging 3/3s(Free Medivh, pt 1), 2 mana 6/6s(Free Medivh, pt 2), 1-mana 5/5s(Big Bad Wolf), Ultra-zoo(Silverware Golem). It Was Indescribable By Any Other Term Than Hell Itself.
I Can't Remember My Reaction When I Finally Beat The Last Boss, But I Know It Was Utter Relief. I Might Never Have Felt More Satisfied In My Life.

You know an adventure is stupidly dumb when the "mayor of value town" can stumble into a victory with horrendous choices.
Wow, Trump managed to somehow make that first encounter look boring...even though it looked amazing. Yawn.
You know, I just considered this actually but stonetusk boar+bluegill and the menagerie cards are actually pretty combo.

Of course you play the mages first. You want more copies of the 0-mana card, more copies of spell power, more copies of fireball and free legendaries. You're not going to get a hand full of pyroblasts if you just die from a bunch of 6/6s. By the end of Heroic Malchezaar (he had 20 HP left) I had several 11/11s on the board and 30+ damage in spells (all free) in my had. Now THAT was super lethal.

No, it'll rotate out at the end of the year, simultaneously with TGT and LOE. Standard is the last 2 years of content.

It will be cycled out with the next rotation, not with the next set - until then we'll get one expansion and another adventure as far as I know.

For the prologue, I had turn 2 hero power, turn 3 free spells card into spell power +5, Pyroblast, Arcane Missiles, Fireball, Arcane Blast, and Frost Bolt. 50-ish face damage plus cleared a minion. Easy peasy, lol.

To be clear is that you kill that silence lady before and that why she was being summon by Onyx Bishop.
Onyx Bishop only summon the last minion that die before but not random.
The sound is corrupted around 18-19 min...
I am so sad that i didnt record my win against prince malchezar... It was the pure dream: Starthand: Arcane missile and 2 arcane blast and the summon a legendary... First legendary: Malygos. After 2 turns i drew the power sheep which made my spells cost 0 and i got Antonidas from the second legendary summon...
