I'm no longer into car culture, but this appeals to the younger me. I used to make 1/25 scale models of my own Mad Max vehicle designs. If I made one of these, I'd have to use a 1970 Mercury Cyclone.
What a great group of cars! The designs are so free that you could almost call them cosmic. I love Mad Max because it shows space age hot rods. 1:23 J mascis? It doesn't seem like... He's also quite a gearhead.
Still gathering the funds to go to this even though I've known about it since 2016, this videos help keep that fire lit under me, one day I'll be there! Also what music is in the background? It's got a daxophone in it and I'm always looking for more daxophone music.
I have a 1997 lifted Tahoe thats been a royal pain because of transmission issues & just overall poor upkeep from previous owners. If I can't sell it soon I may just strip it down & give it the wasteland treatment! 😆
All designed and built by us, the fans! Some are absolute works of art, mine was fairly boring (the Killjoy TransAm) but all vehicles are ongoing projects that change every year!
Sadly a lot of the actual mad max cars were destroyed, ether just straight up disappeared or cut up in the 80’s and 90’s when they weren’t worth much. the cars from the second film were practically worthless after filming wrapped Max’s XB was sent to a wreckers where it sat for some time due to XB’s being hard to sell in pristine condition let alone cut up to make the movie car, most of the stunt cars suffered scraping ether right off filming or the ones that were left in the bush were taken when scrap value increased and they like so many Aussie classics were dragged out and cut up for $200 bucks a pop. The Mad Max museum at Silverton has a few don’t have the foggiest about the Thunder Dome. Most of the Fury Road cars were sent to South Africa after filming and crushed, the known survivors are as follows In Australia: 2x War Rigs, 2x Gigahorse, 1x Doof Wagon, 2x NuxCar, 1x Razor Cola, 1x Max’s Interceptor, 1x convoy Elivis, 1x convoy 2 Jaguar, 1x Polecat 7 Buick, 1x Polecat 6 Surfari, 1x Polecat 3 Oldsmobile, 1x Clawcar 1 Ford F-350, 1x car carrier (and associated contents), 1x body shell of buggy 11, 1x big Foot (body removed and chassis returned to owners), 1x Buzzerd 5 and a few bikes. Elsewhere there is : Polecat 4 and one of the Vuvalini bikes are owned by crew members in Africa.
@@TheApocalypsePost of course not. Just seems like the only type of vehicle I could peacefully run through the peaceful protestors so I can make it to my job. I mentioned nothing about running anyone over.
The truck at 1:57 lives in the same area as me, love seeing Death Comes Ripping in the wild every now and then!
Yeah, I love hearing about people seeing these in their neighborhoods, or even on the freeway :)

The Blackthumb meeting was such a joy to be a part of, killer machines out there!
The Red car with the skulls on the Front is the Best imo
3:42 why did it look like that guy was not expecting a force of motion when jumping in front of a moving vehicle? XD
Probably because it wasn't going very fast, so he figured he could jump onto it no problem.
I actually thought it was very deftly done; my fat ass would have been face down in the dirt and probably under the wheels lol
Wow, fantastic! My warmest congratulations to the creators of the vehicles
I'm planning on attending in 2021 ! I hope I see u there man. I only recently stumbled upon your channel but I'm immediately a huge fan.
Awesome! I'm so glad you found it. We'd love to have you out there. Find me and I'll have a gift for you :)
3:43 apocalypse auto for all those fans

Nicely done Sir, you got my RUBIKONG in that one!

From what I see, to make a post apocalyptic car, get a classic from 60s-70s then cut the front end off. And place it on an old truck frame
That's one way!

Nice! Send pics when you tear it up!
Nobody did a cow car like the one in Beyond Thunderdome. . .😢
I feel like I've seen a cow car there, but my memory could be blending the movie and WW
All they need now is a Low-Rider down dumped into the dirt , lol
I’m making one out of like a 2006 Nisan x-trail
Nice
Heyyyyy, I see the apocalypse auto bus! :D
No kids don't wanna run in front of that schools bus👍😂
an original XB ford falcon would cost 100,000$ just on its own
whats harder to find, an original falcon or original delorean?
Suzuki vitara g1!
Sooo cool
I got a question and I wonder if all these cars where actually used in the movie or where designed for George
No, these are all fan built

Haha are you messing with me?
Music??
What about music?
@@TheApocalypsePost name of the music? sounds great
Can I borrow these so I can peacefully run through some antifa riots?
Are you suggesting running over protesters?

I definitely have to take part, I already have a couple of ideas on how to convert a car 👍
