greens! Many of us have the tendencies to not always hit the short shots around the green very solid or
consistent. Most often, we forget to keep the body moving through the hitting area and the hands and arms get too active. great advice. ive been wondering why there is no zip in my short pitches. now i know.
Isn't your pitch shot, which is basically a mini swing - at odds with your vertical full swing philosophy of swinging with your arms? Just wondering....as I would think you would want both in sync. I love the vertical swing - but struggle a bit with what I should be doing for chip shots....

Great advice, Dave. Thanks. I like to adjust the position of my stance relative to the ball depending on the trajectory and carry-vs-roll I'm looking for in a shot, but then I tend to over-think my pitches. I think you could make more of not using the hands, also. So many people flip their hands through the shot with a pitch and that leads to a lot of inconsistency. And remember that you have 14 clubs in the bag and nothing in the rules says that all pitches have to be made with only the wedges. :)
