Richard I’m glad that you’re back at it, for me you definitely do not have to apologize for being unprepared, and never apologize for not cooking some elaborate meal, because for me just being out in the woods is priceless, and sometimes it is ok to cook something easy, but I will tell you your supper looked delicious, anyway you go at your own pace and I for one will be happy to watch whatever you post, thank you take care.
Don't get rid of your hobby equipment!!! Some day you will have time again, maybe you'll retire, and if you sell off your equipment, you'll kicking yourself! When I retired, I got into my various hobbies and crafts and I haven't had a boring minute in 6 years so far! You are right, your loyal followers will always be there for you! I'm one of them!
Second, third and fourth what everyone is saying. Hubby and I are so happy to see you back and pleased you're doing things that make you happy and fulfilled. Whatever you post is always enjoyable and whilst we wait for whatever comes next, we have all the golden oldies we can re-watch! Can't be too careful. Foraging leeks and potatoes out of the grass. Just a joyful place for us to come and hang out with you in spirit. Welcome back! All the best.
So great to see you back. You do these videos for your own enjoyment and we are taken on the journey with you. Will always follow you as a loyal follower so you do what you need to do. As a fellow Scot from Fife, I have had those Haggis slices too and they are awesome. Keep doing what you do and keep being you.
Whew! I was worried. I am so glad to see you again. I know that you have at least one loyal subscriber who will wait for you. I love your videos and I understand completely. "Utter serenity, peace and happiness". What a beautiful state to be in. Your return has been a good one. Thank you, Richard!
Richard, on behalf of those of us who for various reasons are unable to get out into nature, or participate in hobbies as we used to, or would like to, your content is pure gold. As for reduced frequency, I can tell you, you are worth waiting for. Just do what you do when you are able to do it. We will be here to watch and feel as if we are included. You are one of the genuine nice people (like Simon) on You Tube, and you are appreciated. ❤
My wife and I were so excited to see that you posted a new video. We love your content, your style, personality and heart. We find great joy in watching you. Many blessings on you.
Great to see you back Richard, sometimes life is more important. The time spent with your family can’t be more precious, so enjoy. Looking forward to seeing what’s coming next.
So happy you’re back Richard. Take all the time you need between videos. Enjoy your family, your viewers will always wait for you. As a side note, I will always treasure the twig stove I won from you with the hand written note. Cheers.
Glad you are back. Don't fret about life getting in the way, you don't owe us anything and we enjoy what you post when you get the chance to do so. Congrats on the promotion too. I actually quite enjoyed the more "rustic" format.. Nice change!!
Life is not a straight line as I believe everyone knows, it has its ups and downs, with living,- work etc etc.... so fear not dear sir, your subscribers enjoy your content and understand how this great experience called life must fit in around all the rest ! Great to see you out again, look forward to the next one !! Richard Indoors ☝️👍😉
So glad to see you on a video again. Life does get busy and we need to spend time with our families as we never know what's around the corner and our kids grow up so fast. My youngest is into horses, she has five, she's just turned thirty and I wonder where the time went. I was only thinking the other day how pathetic I am as I check about once a week for you and a few others from the UK and the USA I enjoy watching. Simon has also been missing for a while but put up a video the other day. 😊 Being an Aussie I love seeing your countryside. Thanks for the update and yes I will keep checking in for the next one. Take care.
Good to see you out again Richard. Never sell the gear. Life is full of change and while its busy now you never know when opportunity comes your way again to get back into the old hobbies. 👍🏻👍🏻
Great to see you back. Don't worry about the length of time between videos, they are always worth the wait. I inherited all of my Dads woodworking equipment, then decided to get rid.. Big mistake, wood work is now a passion.
Hey, good to see you back and admire your honesty - genuine chap! Look forward to updates and videos as and when you can. You’re not alone with life’s stresses and strains and it’s good to share and offload.
Fantastic to see a video from you Richard. Take your time, I know exactly what you mean re a busy full life. Do what you can when you. Anything is appreciated. We have children a couple of years younger than yours and we all like to ride, camp, airsoft (my son), deal with school, dogs, both full time careers, football training, rugby training, cricket training, lifeguard training, scouts......a spare minute is unheard of. Thanks for your efforts.
Great to see you out again. I'm sure everyone will appreciate your honesty and reasons. UA-cam is a funny game that certainly makes me feel like I should do more, I try to keep the work/life balance going but it's not always easy. Just keep being you and your loyal subscribers will always appreciate it 🙂
Welcome back Richard, I like the special boot opening facility 🙂 Liking the coffee pouch! I always enjoy your content, you keep on being you and keep things going as and when you can and if you feel the need to share with us! Congratulations on the promotion.
Hi Richard, only just found your channel. I enjoyed seeing the new gadgets and I like the new tent. You are so lucky to have the permission to stay in a woodland with a stream. Lovely!
Welcome back Richard, glad to hear your reasons for no videos are because you've been busy, and not because you got bored of UA-cam or UA-cam messing you about somehow. A LOT of UA-camrs I follow of all types of subjects seem to have slowed down or stopped for some reason. Not sure why. Something screwy going on I reckon.?
Spot on video Richard. Congrats on the promotion. Its always a pleasure to see what you are doing. I love my onetigris tents and sleeping bags they make a good product i highly recommend. I hear you on what you said i am trying to grow my channel and sometimes life just gets in the way. Just remember Richard family first thats whats important. Cheers.
Good to see you again Richard, you content is always worth watching. Look forward to seeing future videos as an when you can. Hope you son got some great results.
Welcome back Richard. I've been a subscriber for four years and I'm going nowhere. You never fail to entertain and educate. Most if not all of us understand that life happens and we'll be waiting patiently till you upload again.
Hello Richard! You don't owe us any explanations, but it's really nice to see you again. I can appreciate all the work it takes to put together a good camping/outdoors video, so it's understandable that sometimes there just isn't any time. Thanks for catching us up!
Hi Richard, simon a bloke in the woods introduced me to your channel and I have been enjoying your videos from the beginning of your channel. What I like about you and him is your approach and obvious sincerity, you both make content that it it is obvious that you enjoy, like I do. It was good to see him step back from the algorithm demand and make real, watchable and genuine content. People understand demands on free time as we all have stuff to deal with sometimes. All the best. Mike
Great to see you back on the screen again Richard. I have to say that Spam curry is a new one on me, but now I just have to try it! I wonder what’s for dinner tomorrow!
You definitely don't owe us anything- we enjoy your videos but family and work comes first so I will enjoy when you can post but no pressure Richard! Cheers from over the pond
Great to see you back on the channel Richard, I`m sure we all fully understand why you have not posted as much as you did during Covid, it was an adjustment for all of us ! That`s the second time in the last couple of weeks you have cost me money, I bought the DJI Neo and now just ordered the One Tigris Hillridge Tent. Fabulous video. Cheers 😃😃😃
Hi Richard, great to see you out and about. Life sometimes gets in the way but you must do what's right for you and your family. I'm still a subscriber and will wait for you to upload another video as and when you get the time. I hope your son got the results he wanted to move on with whatever he wants to do. Take care and stay safe. ATB until next time. X
It's nice to see you back. YT filming, etc, takes more time and energy than folk realise. If you've got to work, you've got to work. That's just the way it is. During lockdown, a lot of people reconnected with hobbies they'd let slip due to work taking priority. It was probably the only benefit of the whole period. Totally agree with you on seizing the serenity moments. Thoroughly enjoyed the video. Anyway, as I said, it's good to see you back. All the best.
Good evening (for us) Richard, and you're a welcome sight we must say. May the promotion be fruitful, and make hay with it whilst you are able to. Come and share some experiences when you can fit them in, you have brought a lot of joy to new viewers since covid, and should consider that a noble success. Best withes to Rory and the exam results, and to the rest of the family. Keep us in the loop as and when you can.. J&A&B&T
Thanks for taking the time! Love to see your video's when they come (except cycling ones ;) but thats just me). Take your time and don't forget to do things for yourselves!
as my wife says......scotch is for drinking and welcome back and im not going to do the spam song thing (spam madras.....interesting lol😉) and have you thought about doing the odd youtube short......making a brew or a bacon sarnie in the garden great vid as usual👍
I just got this tent in the summer, and I am really loving it, as you mention it is a little bit heavier than the Lanshaan 2 but the Perfect waterproofing and the sides ventilation system are just great
Richard😊great to see you. Oh no not spam🙄I have to say the custard and steamed pudding, that’s a different matter.❤️Just enjoy yourself, those serenity feelings are so important. Thank you.
I'm loving your videos! Why haven't more people discovered you? Your videos deserve 10 million subscribers. You are so intelligent, and nice. I really appreciate your work, & always look forward to watching your adventures, & pro. vids. Keep going please! THANK YOU 👍
Good to see you back Richard! No worries. I’ve noticed more succesfull UA-cam content creators in the outdoors that are struggling to produce on a regular basis and seem to fade away a bit. This one was God anders enjoyable. Take care. Cheers, Henk.
Great to see you back again Richard. As you say, your dedicated followers will still follow. ! I do like the look of that tent, even though I have a campervan! 🤦🏻♂️. Midges looked annoying, hopefully Flextail will send you a tiny repel! Good luck and congrats with your promotion. Atb. Paul.
You made me laugh in about 5 seconds so job done 😊 This is why I love your videos. Ignore the algorithm, it's just a computer (#skynet!). Keep doing what you do and we'll stick with you.
Great to see your familiar face again. I understand this type of tent for trekking and saving weight, but I just don’t personally like a single skin tent. Condensation drips in low winds are just annoying. That table looks pretty good though. Certainly stabilises the pot for cooking on and not having to hold a top heavy cup.
Well I have to say Richard its really great to see you out & about again, you have such a lovely presenting style too, Simons been quite quiet this year too, maybe you two should do another get together soon. As an additional thought, I wondered if your benevolent employer would allow any filming in your 'Upper Office' ? there is a YT channel called 'Approach & Departure Videos' you'll get the idea. As for all your other interests, just do 'What you can, when you can', having Leukaemia taught me that.
Hi, Richard. This is a great video. What a superb tent that is. I think a lot of the Wild camping channels have run out of ideas now, and are churning out repetitive videos, or diversifying into other areas. I would rather see good quality videos like this one as opposed to the run of the mill stuff that gets a bit tiresome with 10 minutes talking, 5 minutes chopping wood, then the rest of the video cooking. You mix it up, which keeps it interesting.
No need for excuses Richard, we all know how life gets in the way of what we would rather be doing… Don’t sell your kit you will need it for retirement, I’m 5 years off and currently buying kit ready (hopefully) for my retirement…. All the best. 👍🇬🇧🏴
Firstly, glad your absence was for good reasons rather than anything bad. Being an inveterate worrier I always assume the worst, so you've made me happier at least! 😅 Secondly, it's a pleasure to see you out and about again, you always give us a good show. Looking forward to further 'well that went well' moments... 🤪Cheers and all the best, Pete.
Hi Richard, I would have been interested to hear the "carry-on" portability of the UGreen powerbank. Is it within the power limits to carry on a commercial aircraft? Ugreen products are generally well made powerful little devices, but no good to travel with if you can't carry it on. Secondly, UA-cam as you highlight is not your sole income stream as it is for many creators, the planning, time and effort to create, edit to make videos (or anything for that matter), is often underestimated. So it's appreciated what is uploaded, I liked your series on homemade dehydrated curries, for example! An Asian inspired pemmican next perhaps?? How come you're missing Andi's hot sauces??
Our good pal Richard, yes indeed we have missed you so much, but oh boy are we glad you're back!! I hear ya, we who are your genuine followers on here will wait, until you are ready and we look forward. I have enjoyed all your videos and, as an intermediate UA-cam Content Creator, I can understand time limitations, constraints and also the chances to do things, when you can. Plus, you have a family also, so you're juggling, so believe me when I say, we understand. If you need to get stuff off your chest, I invite you to email (ask email) if you wish and you then have an outlet to vent. Finally, your content in the future, is there any chance you could revisit Simon or do a Triple Collab with Simon, Andy and yourself, I reckon that would be super cool and combine all your strengths together. Well, take care Richard, best regards to you. Neil.
You know what the problem is Richard? UA-cam doesn't seem to be able to cope with viewers that have a lot of subscriptions and as they rely on algorithms unfortunately people are recommended only what they've recently watched. We don't worry if you have breaks but the algorithms do and they simply stop recommending your videos to your viewers, which is so annoying! Add to that your viewers also having busy lives and limited time to watch and the result is your views dropping off. It's only now when I have a window of time off over the holidays that I've had a chance to catch up on your recent videos. I was reminded to look you up because I bought my son some basic equipment (bushcraft knife, fire starter, tinder box and a rocket stove) because they are an outdoorsy family with two boys age 7 & 8 who i thought would enjoy making a drink and maybe a little something to eat while they're out in the woods. I actually just sent them your reset wellbeing video as an example of what I had in mind for them! I've been a subscriber to your channel for a long time now and always enjoy your interesting content, no matter what it is. You lead a full and interesting life 😊
Hi Richard, great to see you again, thank you for sharing this video, great info on the tent and other items, Also, DO NOT GET RID OF YOUR HOBBY EQUIPMENT, again great to see you out and about again.

Great to see you back Richard. Your videos are worth waiting for. Do what you can when you. Thank you , Richard

Very touching words. Means a lot. Many thanks. R.

Being an Aussie I love seeing your countryside.
Thanks for the update and yes I will keep checking in for the next one. Take care.

So good to see and hear from you Mr O. You could have simply sat out in the backyard and had a quiet cuppa and we’d have been content 😂.
Onya mate!
Next time!
It's nice to see you back. YT filming, etc, takes more time and energy than folk realise. If you've got to work, you've got to work. That's just the way it is. Yes. They sent me one. Next time.
Ah mate - welcome back 👍

Great! They are very good. Wasps don’t like them either!!
Lovely to see you back on again Richard. Might need to get a new car with your promotion, it’s only an M reg! 😜 Always enjoy your videos. 👍🏻

Company very strictly against, I’m afraid. Have to keep totally separate. Kind words. Thanks.
late on the party, but your honesty made me stay ;)
Firstly, glad your absence was for good reasons rather than anything bad. Being an inveterate worrier I always assume the worst, so you've made me happier at least! 😅 Secondly, it's a pleasure to see you out and about again, you always give us a good show. Looking forward to further 'well that went well' moments... 🤪Cheers and all the best, Pete.
Thank you Pete!
You may have had a few lapses in technique but your positive attitude kept the "cringe monster" away.
Delighted to see you back Richard and demoing some really interesting kit. Are you still flying? Or has your promotion grounded you.?
Flying loads!
That was great, Richard. Thanks for this. Hey, maybe you can get out with your "brother" Simon in the future? He's a good bloke. 🙂👍😜
Maybe one day!
Hi Richard,
I would have been interested to hear the "carry-on" portability of the UGreen powerbank.
Neil.
Much appreciated!!
Your missed Richard
You lead a full and interesting life 😊
Lovely words and much appreciated.
Hi Richard, great to see you again, thank you for sharing this video, great info on the tent and other items, Also, DO NOT GET RID OF YOUR HOBBY EQUIPMENT, again great to see you out and about again.
Thanks for that
