Thank goodness for people like you that do these type videos for people that just can't figure it out on our own, lol. Easy peasy now.
Glad it helped!
No tools required! Your video was much easier and simpler. Thank you!

Thank you for this video. I understood how to replace the battery but that small tension spring popped out when I opened the fob and I couldn't figure out how to put it back! I stopped your video at 1:21 and saw it positioned in there so I was able to put it back properly! Thanks again!

Wow! Thank you. I was in Helll.
This comment made me realize what popped out of the key when I opened it. The emergency key wouldn't stay in and I was scratching my head at what could be missing. I found it on the carpet.
Thank you, I first tried the replacement with a no-name 2032 battery and still had problems: can't detect key. Then I tried an Energizer battery and no more problems. What I should have done first was measure the battery voltage - the Energizer voltage was signiificantly higher. Great instructions! Without them, I was scared of breaking something.
Thank you for your clear instructions! You made very easy what I thought might be complicated.

Thanks for the video. I have a key fob for a 2015 Toyota Highlander and when it stopped working, I had the dealership replace the battery. During battery replacement, no antistatic wrist strap was used, and after battery replacement the key fob still would not work. Now I have one key fob with an old battery that works and one key fob with a new battery that does not. I opened both key fobs and switched batteries, but nothing changed. Could have something happened to one of the key fobs during battery replacement at the dealership while not using an antistatic wrist strap or any other antistatic process, which may have damaged the key fob circuit board?
it is possible to damage a circuit board while changing the battery but the damage would usually be to the battery holder not due to static
❤thank you
You're Welcome!
Thank you for the video! Is there any reprogramming/relinking required after new battery installed, or just replace and resume using as usual?
You're Welcome! It should not need to be reprogrammed after just changing the battery
Any idea where i can get that tiny little spring inside the fob?
not sure on that
Is it basically the same for a 2013 Highlander? And thanks for the vid!
if the Highlander has remote start then it will be similar. The key fob will be a little bit different and the battery for a 2013 will be CR1632
@@PYR-Auto Thank you. Had no idea it was so easy.
