I was just telling someone that companies like ibanez need to put something like a aura in all of their guitars. They always look nice but I wouldn’t buy one because they look great for performance, not necessarily great sounding acoustically but if the plugged sound was good i would buy one
@@datboi4216 I like it because I know how to get the most out of it, I look at it as an electric player and as a sound designer and mix engineer. Most people don't like it because they plug it straight to DI and expect it to sound perfect, but in reality a pickup is a pickup and not a microphone. Just like how an electric guitar needs processing in order to get the sound you want (yes, amps are a form of processing), then so does an acoustic with a Piezo. It needs the right EQ, compression and reverb (look at the videos they did with Mike Dawes for example), I even tried it with the Plexi channel of my Friedman IRX (tube guitar preamp, not meant for acoustics lol) with the IR section turned off, might not sound like a mic'd up acoustic but definitely has its own thing going on.
Hi there. Great playing as Always. Fine guitars too. Got myself an ae295 Lefty a few years back. Great allrounder with a darker Tone. Love it. Hardly Plug it in, but feel Like Ben concerning the preamp Boots. Keep ist in the middle.
I've been after an electric Nylon for some time, I am super into this one, but I might wait a bit and spend that bit extra to get the one with the knobs.
Jeezus Ben top demo again. You have the nack of picking the best wee tunes to show off the instruments best qualities. Great pickin as usual guys. 🏴👍👍👍🥃Respect to you fellas
Great playing as always, Ben! Agree on your favourite; not least because it has open-geared tuners, which really lifts the look of the guitar in my opinion. Does this mean Ibanez are upgrading their semi-acoustic range too?
I have the guitar at the 5:00 mark along with the thinner AEW version they make. Both guitars sort of feel like you're playing an electric guitar - In my opinion very comfortable to play. Neither one is the best sounding acoustic guitar in the world as they are fairly small. The thinner one came with sand paper frets and both are starting to have fret buzz because of un even frets. I believe I fixed a few fret sprout issues as well. I assume way more expensive acoustics don't come with fret issues? Other than the fret issues, the thinner version is probably my favorite guitar I have.
I have a big Ibanez. I believe it’s a dreadnought it’s got lve on the fingerboard to I have two Ibanez guitars. I love both of them. I’ve had them for a long time they’re great guitars I don’t care if they’re made in China they’re still good guitars.🎸🎸
The magnetic pickup sounds best to my ears. Surprises me that piezo under saddle are the most common on steel strings. Having said that piezo with nylon strings works pretty well
I have a black version of the AE with the vine inlays The guitars body is absolutely enormously massive The scallop bridge helps keep tune with lower tunings It does help alot I play a whole step down And for this the guitar is great It also has a slightly longer scale length then others Im torn... because the portability is very poor Im going to sell it and get something smaller Going to lose some sound... though for sure
please please do electric nylon comparison video, seems like there's a growing market there. Ibanez TOD10N and FRH10N, Cordoba Stage, Cort Sunset-NY, SQOE's SEGD-600, to name a bunch.
IBANEZ FRH10N How much of a problem is it in a live concert, because the guitar doesn't have EQ and volume? is that sound in the guitar enough and does it cause problems with feedback?
I have the AEG70 with Tiger Burst Flamed Maple top. It's the best acoustic I've Ever had. I see Ben is in Full Epileptic Mode Today. It's Quite Unnerving!
Love watching your videos. I have a suggestion for content. How about doing a regular feature whereby you follow up on someone who has purchased some gear from Andertons to see how they are getting on. E.g. Check and see how a beginner is progressing with a guitar starter pack. Or how an intermediate player has upgraded to a higher spec guitar or how a Pro musician is using gear. I think it would make interesting viewing plus you may discover new guest presenter talent. Cheers 😀🎸🎶
@madgebishop5409 I get building the hype but in reality the hype is done. I had forgot about these until I seen this video. Went for a look and they are not available. So they just make another video when we can buy them? Nah, I have been saving for an acoustic for a while so will probably get a godin multiac if a good one comes up. Might be a little more expensive than these but it's something you can actually buy.
It's great that they play well, but Ibanez really continues to struggle with aesthetics. The matte blue is pretty cool, and purple is purple if that's your thing. But regardless of "taste" the bursts just look so cheap and amateur. The orange stripe across the headstock of the "expensive" one is just hideous.
You tell all about the guitar but you never tell the price in American money yeah I don’t think you ever even quote a price on any of these guitars what’s up with that?
Nothing new with the FRN 10 N ultra thin classical guitar since Godin has had one available for decades. Sting used it on his first solo recordings. The idea is very good since many players in a gigging Rock band play a few acoustic tunes which they use bigger compromises. I myself retired my acoustic for an electric semi acoustic. Of course the sound is not the same but I have no need to compromise my technique or need to dumb down my parts. I do find a chorus pedal set lightly does remove any metallic sound and removes any drastic change to the ascetic.
Always great to hear the new Ibanez model names. They just roll off the tongue…
Ben's playing is such a pleasure to listen to.
I agree. Just wish he would sit still.
They all have the electric piezo sound as expected. No big reveal here. They are pretty to the eye, but sound like any under saddle pickup.

Good morning gents! Great playing. I love the sound of Ibanez acoustics. I really need to get me one

omg the purple Iris flamed maple top looks so beautiful I cant wait to get mine!!!
These look like great guitars thabjs for covering everything like always 😃
Great video, Ben always deliver :)
I could have listened to you play on the last guitar all night. Wonderful.

Loved that intro demo
congrats.. finally you made review for ibanez AE siries.. awsome guitar right :p

Dude, I dig how animated this mate is with the purple Ibanez. 🎉
What was the song you played on the AE240JR? That was super dope!!! Thanks for the excellent video!!!!!
That jam in the middle of the video is amazing
It would help if you could describe/show the neck profile and action, quite important if you have smaller hands. Thanks
I have been thinking of picking up a parlor but not sure any of these are it.
The tuner looks really nice on that purple guitar
I recommend checking out the PRS P20E. I just got one. It is quite small and really light guitar! Easy to play as well!
Wow Ben, I think you just sold all the travel size ones in the UK with that demo! All the other demos were good too, but that one stuck out! 🙌
The ibanez ae240mhs is amazing, great guitar 🎸 👌 😍
AE275 or AE240jr? :) The fist one has better sound via the magnetic and the second one - acoustically? :)
What was that song Ben played on the classical guitar?!?!
And where can I hear it on loop!!!!

To be fair, piezo is the only thing working with nylon due to nylon not being magnetic. Thus magnetic pickups wouldn't work in the first place.
When is the Tim Henson Ibanez acoustic-electric due to start shipping?
I have a black version of the AE with the vine inlays

The scallop bridge helps keep tune with lower tunings
It does help alot
I play a whole step down

What's about playability and string action?
Where is the nylon string model made?

Ben you are such a wonderful dude! I love listening to you play. Could listen to this for hours.
I really like the purple guitar. Wanted to like the 400 but didn't in the end .
is it a good guitar? Ibanez AEjr240-MHS?
Very late, but I love mine. It sounds so big for the size. Chose it over the GS Mini/Martin Jr
I'm not in the market for a guitar at the moment. I just watch these videos to hear Ben play haha.
Ibanez needs to reissue the AEL207e, the world needs more 7 string acoustic guitars.
Please compare frh10n to cordoba stage
I have the AEG70 with Tiger Burst Flamed Maple top. It's the best acoustic I've Ever had. I see Ben is in Full Epileptic Mode Today. It's Quite Unnerving!
My thoughts of them are (you asked for it): well, theres a lot of better ones for looks and price.
What was wrong with last year's Ibanez acoustics ?
A real Ben Collins of the nylon track

All the poor people waiting for the Henson model they ordered a year ago lol
Sounds Like Randy Rhoads BY BUSTING THE BANK please :)
Ben is the best!
Need Ben in every acoustic video please!
Lmao, imagine advertising something people can't buy...
yeah was just thinking that, most of them arent due for at least 3 months...by which time this video will be long forgotten

Love Ben's playing, but that godawful piezo pickup sound that makes a steel string sound like it's almost got cheap nylon strings on it! So sad.
Well, ive still never heard a piezzo that i liked. Its not even a subtle dislike thing i find it a horrible sound 😅
Please play them without using the amp
You tell all about the guitar but you never tell the price in American money yeah I don’t think you ever even quote a price on any of these guitars what’s up with that?
But... where are the acoustic sounds?
What went wrong with the mic? It's not much of an acoustic demo if we only get to listen to the can of wasps piezo sounds.
Why are we only hearing the DI signal? That's the most underwhelming aspect of any acoustic guitar...
first

I like this guy, the sound of the guitars, not so much. The ergonomics of the fancy one were nice, but they just don't have the sound.
They don't sound good as acoustics.. rin tin tin!!!
Not impressed with the sound of the guitars
