I appreciate that Stoeger is providing more choices for responsible gun owners, and I can't wait to see how this pistol performs in the hands of shooters in various scenarios.

I have the basic compact model. $250 out the door. I hope it lasts thousands of rounds like my Glocks.

I own a stoger str9. I bought it as gun I can carry while working or leave in the car at job sites. I didn't want an expensive gun in my car while I'm at the job site incase it was stolen. After shooting this gun, I love it and would trust it as ac every day carry. It's an amazing pistol at a really good price. Don't sleep on this gun, words getting out.
Really enjoy my STR-9. Solid pistol for the price. Trigger breaks in nicely after around 1000 rounds. The M3000 is another great product from Stoeger. Thanks for the share!!

So I got a chance to try this out at a range day at my local shop. I thought it was a pretty good pistol, especially for the features and price. I think it was hovering around $350 after rebate at the time.
@@user-pr6pe5uk5g the wifey was with me at the time.. Lol. I was tabling for my sons' shooting team and the other parents and coaches were trying to convince her to get one. So it wasn't due to a lack of effort, and at the time I really wasn't looking for a new pistol. Need to make room first in the safe.
I’ve owned this gun for about 2yrs I love it. After shooting a couple hundred rounds and a full cleaning the trigger became so much better. Smoother trigger pull and a much cleaner break. Never had a malfunction at all and that’s says a lot, I shot over 2000 rounds through the gun and it just shoots. And hey came with three 20rd magazines. Less time reloading for me 😂 but yes a great gun
Every shot counts, I have a full size one, Stoeger might be new to pistol market, but the technique support from Beretta, man~ how bad it can go to... I like it.

Have had the all black version for acouple years - boy is it a sleeper steel mounting plates - uses gen3 glock internals and has ever upgrade a glock owner could ask for - all for 5 benjis - stoeger is made in Turkey and is owned by Beretta I love letting folks at the range give her a go! surprised and smiles is the usual reaction good stuff
Had a stoeger cougar 9mm and a side by side 12 ga coach gun. Both solid guns.

I got the regular STR-9 pistol. Changed the medium backstrap to a small and lightly sanded the backstrap texturing with 200 grit sandpaper. The first 100 rds. were ball ammo with no malfunctions of any kind. Cleaned it and smoothed the barrel feed ramp with a light trip on my wire wheel. Next 200 rds. were a mix of 9mm including hollow points. No malfunctions of any kind. Great buy for the money, rugged and well built, would recommend to anyone.
I sanded down my back strap too. I've been thinking about polishing my ramp like you did.
The STR series guns in my opinion are some of the best budget handguns available right now. I recently found an STR-9C mildly used for $150. The feel of this gun in the hand and the trigger had me sold at 2 bills but the FFL owner is a good friend and knocked $50 off anyway. It is now in my rotation of carry pistols....
I have one and the only problems I’ve had is chambering hollow points I’ve had to start a clip with normal brass tip range ammo the the rest of the hollow points feed normally but chambering one with hollow points can cause a malfunction… other than that it’s performed like a Glock it’s exceptional for the price 💯

We in Germany, unfortunately, cannot afford to shoot weapons until they are broken. Because we need a complicated application for each weapon. All that shit is long and expensive. I envy you Yanks!!!

Love this gun! Ive had the plain version for the last 3 years. Mine came with 2 mags, 2 different sized back straps and a FDE finish.
I have some minor issues with it, those backstraps dig into your hand and hurt after prolonged shooting, and the magazines are definitely not easy to find.
I slid a pocket knife blade down my Stoeger back strap many times to wear down the grip texture.Way too aggressive.

I actually got a standard str-9c and it's actually a great little pistol. It's a Turkish made Glock that more comfortable to hold and shoot 👍 and it was 299.99 at Dunham's
The 15 shot and larger capacity mags will run in the compact and subcompact models.

I like that you do reliable high value guns. Not everybody wants to see 3000$ + guns all the time. Thanks for not doing that. What do you think about Bersa? I have a bp9cc that I think is a crazy good value with an excellent trigger.

Out of my 5 handguns I would never sale my stoeger str 9s combat and trust me the trigger gets better the more your shoot it when I rack my slide it like butter

I love my STR-9. Half the price of a Glock, and in my opinion, it feels better and shoots better. I also have a M3500 duck gun. Beat the crap out of it for 5 seasons and it just keeps banging.
The 'exploding' targets were pretty unimpressive. Lots of duds. What's up with those things?

Had one and wouldn't cycle 115g... would only cycle 147g
Had , one. Those pistols, shot, way to the left, at 10 yards, move rearward sight, to max , still shooting to the left, ,sold that THING to a pawnshop, and was hard to a extra magazine, and there no other magazines , to it, they, should, made that pistol, to take glock magazines.
Why does it not use a Glock mag
Grip angle is like an M&P so a G mag is a no go - the mags it comes with are completely interchangeable with all the STR9s - are sturdy as heck - great nitride finish and I have not experienced a malfunction Like E said probably MecGAr manufactured would be cool if they did take Glock mags, but I guess they chose grip angle over common use

Those Turkish pump action shotguns are really good, worth getting several of.
