For anyone watching this the manual states there is a computer diagnostic mode for this you don't need this setup. The diagnostic mode lets you know how to adjust the screw to the correct position on the slave cylinders. And it will stop the procedure if the fans come on you shouldn't take long to do this procedure.

You do need a diagnostic tool for this

Yeah but you do need about £8k worth of diagnostic computer instead of a pocket money lash up.
do it with mercury columns and you know exactly how many inches of mg your pulling

Hello Nico, I can hear in the video a small "surging" on the engine when you rev it up a bit just after OFF-IDLE... I have the same thing on my Tuono, the enigne it is by no means soft when throttle is just off idle... Is this normal???

    Great video sir!
Is there a recommendet ammount of vaccum, u should balance to? Like -0,2 / -0,25 / -0,3 bar etc?
If u start balancing by closing the left screw and adjust only by turning the left screw, whats with the right screw? In what position do u have the right screw?
    Thx in advance!

I tried to do this procedure on my rsv1000r but using vacuum gauges. I couldn't see any difference made when i adjusted the screws. I'm puzzled about it now

Is your system not allowing any unwanted air through any of the gaskets?

Awesome video mate, please continue to share as and when you are doing something on the RSV :)
Btw, how to you setup that DIY Vacuum meter? looks awesome!

      Thanx !
i'll check if i can get the vid on the vacuum meter here swell. But the principle is simple:
Make 2 reservoirs connect the 2 reservoirs with one long single line. fill the line with a fluid (i used coolant).
put on each reservoir a line to your bike.
(some us a simple glass pot and screw the lid on.)
always be sure the you put no more fluid in the line than one reservoir can hold......
In my case i use PVC with endstops and the line is attached to the boys, makes it easier te fill....

Could you feel a difference in performance when riding after the change?

Hi Ethan, when the vacuum is correct, you could feel the difference in torque.

    • @NicovanderSteen
      @NicovanderSteen  Рік тому +1

klopt. kan oelvloeistof zijn of inderdaad iets met een kleurtje. De twee kamers is eigenlijk een overloop voor ie totaal uit sync is, en dat niet alles je gasklephuis wordt ingezogen.
