Well said daniel. I played in a garage band back in the 60's when alot of the best rock music started. Alot of our artists have passed on but thank GOD their music lives on
Tim Sebastian garage band is like the perfect name! I remember tuning up guitars and testing drum sounds with the garage door down. Peeking out the garage window, and as soon as we saw about a dozen kids outside the house listening to us tune up, we’d open the door as if a stage curtain. Hit em with the opening notes of Louie Louie or the drum roll of wipeout! Even our local record store would get garage bands down there promoting their singles. No they weren't. Almost all of their hits they didn't write themselves. They were quite dependent on Dylan for a fair bit of their better known material. Contrast that to the Beatles, who wrote every single they released. Help! is that last album with any covers on it.
