The only most people are familiar with -- as well as being more accurate to how Japanese actually sounds -- is the Hepburn system, which has the Nishiki spelling we're familiar with. However, with another romanization system -- and one more common in Japan -- the Kunrei-shiki romanization system, it would be spelled simply as Nisiki.

You get to know a lot about characters and bond with them before going to kiwami

And even Kiryu himself
All will hit different since you got to know them first before seeing them in Kiwami
I feel really lucky to have missed it untill 0 and the remakes came around
I think better take zero atleast after kiwami. Even if it designed to start from zero with added featues in kiwami.
You also meet Shinji in 0
They also have side quests in Kiwami that started in 0 like Pocket Circuit and others. Kiwami 2 also gives closure to some things from 0 like Makoto Makimura and the Cabaret Storyline
Hey don't forget Kashiwagi, it's nice to get more development for him too even though he does survive Kiwami/1
The only character they haven’t focused on in this game is Yumi. Though, she was in high school during the events of 0.

According to Yakuza 6, this is how they probably sang it most often. Kiryu can talk about Nishiki to a hostess and about karaoke he will say that that there was a band they both loved, but that Nishiki would hog the mic and force him to sing backup vocals.

fun fact: if you play judgement karaoke with nishiki in the first chapter - when you go out together for a fun night - it’s before we meet kashiwagi, so he doesn’t play the keyboard in that version. they get the DJ from maharaja playing the keyboard loool it’s actually such a good detail because we dk kashiwagi yet at that point
