I started with 0. The karaoke you do with this song was basically my first noteworthy interaction with the series. I knew I was in for a real treat once I saw this broody boy imagining himself singing Judgement on stage. Now I've beaten all the main games from 0 to 7, and I'm trying my hand at Judgment and Ishin. Crazy to think how this song that reeled me in would introduce me to such an amazing series.
Granted this song does tell Kiryu's side of Yakuza 0, with him being stray after expulsion from the family. But I like to think this is about the strong brotherhood between Kiryu and Nishiki
Like countless others once said: The final boss fight in Yakuza Kiwami should’ve been Kiryu and Nishikiyama duking it out at a Disco dance battle. After that they become the best bros they used to be and sing Judgement at the Karaoke bar.
I laughed hysterically after seeing Yong Yea's version (but I have no problems with the guy). I came here and my reaction was completely different. I love this version and didn't laugh even during the rock fantasy.

😂 I recently got the platinum for this game on PS4 and every time I played this song in-game I was too focused on the timings and hadn't realized that Kashiwagi is ALSO in the video with Kiryu and Nishiki. Makes it even more awesome and hilarious, hahaha.
It's such a shame how the dubbed version sounds when you consider this version itself has light voice-cracks and other imperfections, the autotuned version sounds so commercial compared to this
If I were an aspiring voice actor and they asked me to sing something, I would tell them not to autotune my performance. If they don't like it, they can always hire someone else.
I can easily imagine why this is/has become Kiryu's favourite song, apart from the fact that it's an absolute banger: in a way, this represents his journey from when he was inspired by Shintaro Kazama to the entirety of his journey through the Y0 story Keep in mind I haven't played Kiwami nor any other subsequent titles, so I don't know if this changes in the future
Replaying 0 on PC in 2024. I LOVE this franchise. Literally brings me pure happiness. Its what games should be!! Gaming for 30 years now and Yakuza series recaptured that fun I felt as a kid. Rock on!!
