Did you know that your mood directly impacts your ability to learn (or do therapy- same same)? This week we explore this incredible principle in neuroplasticity, that your mood changes the chemicals in your brain and its ability to learn, as we do our Friday adventure and go to the Brisbane Museum.
Incredible through these adventures we are meeting some of our trickiest therapy goals, and having a great time while we are doing it!

We are roughly 8 weeks into ‘The Possible Project’ and learning so much!! This initiative is an all of life experiment to gather and implement the latest brain science to help unlock the amazing potential of our kids living with cerebral palsy- and hopefully share what we are learning along the way.
But its is still very early days for us!!
For our family our kids have some big labels (cerebral palsy, dystonia, deaf, cortical vision impairment, beckwith-wiedemann syndrome, auditory processing disorder, and lung disease to name a few). But they are just labels and don’t represent the incredible humans they are, or define their incredible potential.
After a very rough start in NICU (neonatal intensive care) and lots of medical and disability diagnoses. And then last year spending 6 months going around the world to seek the latest interventions. We want to take what we have learnt, learn more, and design an all of life program (to hopefully share with others!).
We are going to vlog about this every week (or 2) and share what we are learning. So join the journey!

Omg!! Look at River standing up by himself. Wow! progress is amazing. Zachie is standing and walking too. So much has changed with the boys.

They are so cute, I have spastic diplegic cerebral palsy just like they do,and use a Kaye walker just like the do,God bless your twin boys.
Amazing progress! I'd love a link or two to the research you reference - perhaps you could consider including references in your description? (not to add to your list of things to do... it would just be interesting to learn more alongside you!)

The boys have made such amazing progress! Congratulations parents at your tenacity and willingness to spend so much time in developing the boys’ physical, mental, emotional and social abilities. Apart from Mike Merzenich, my other favourite read regarding brain development is Daniel Amen, author of a number of books including ‘Change your brain, Change your body’, ‘Use your brain to change your age’, ‘Change your brain, change your life’. He translates brain research into easily digested applications. Keep up your positive parenting! We are in awe!

Go Zach and River! I got teary at how happy Zach was to show you how he was getting his both feet on the ground. So wonderful. It's wonderful to see River really enjoying himself so much too. I'm in constant awe of the boys sheer determination to get things done. All your hard work is so worth it. We love the museum too - we'll remember to book in next visit. We love the excitement of taking the Ferry and going on the river walk to the museum too.😊 Big hugs. 💗

well done mum, dad and the team. it’s not easy but your defiantly unlocking there bodies for them.
