  • Our son Zach asked me if he could make a friend with someone like him, someone who crawled and had had spinal surgery (AKA he has cerebral palsy and recently had SDR #disability #cerebralpalsy). So we reached out to facebook and meet an amazing family with another 4 year old superhero boy.
So come on a journey with us as we brave the zoo together, and Zach finds the friend he has been looking for! He even gets to try out his friends #wheelchair (and get some first hand tips on this!).

Hello, you brave little and grown up - heroes! When l watched your video l saw that you manage life with CP and all the stuff that makes it necessary for your kids so wonderful: 8veryone of you should get the Medal of special honor for humanity and life! You are special mums and the way you care AND are friendly to anyonw, without this often seen anger to others and tryino hard to get the best for your kids that l only can say you are ones ofthe few real hero- mums in the world! There are ab.7.000 to 8.000 kids only in Germany every year who suffer on CP and l know there's an OP - method that can help to minimizse spasm and within 1/2 year after goino through this kids can live a lot better than bevore but there are a lot of deseases you ' ve to mange every day and you do so!!! A great creative idea to fix the hearing apparate ! Very, very good! You mothers to see makes me thank to the LORD that God gave these children so wonderful mummies! You're extraordinary! And the kids , all, who live for its best are so awsome, so incredible brave and caring for each other l coldn't stand it without crying and beginning to pray. I myself liive with 16 different and bad deseases ,from day of birth there were ab. 9, and since a time l'm sitting in a whealchair, but although this my childhood was light, then l could walk and even run a bit! I can't remember a single day without lots of pain but l'm used to go through and l only fear the very bad hours a day my intestine hurts so much or having flare ups are hard challenges to me. Whenel saw the cut boy with the blue rollator helping the sweety in the whealchair (l beg youepardon, l can hear only 30% carrying my hearing system and l'm no native speaker as you migght have noticed and so it was too fast spoken for me to understand the correct names of the wonderful boys) l was so impressed! And that's it!: beeing under "normal boys who all are disabled they aren't that rare people one in thousands but it is what it is and so they feel so absolutely normal and this is what l whished should allways be! It's inclusion different! You as the healthy mothers take care of them everytime and the moments they're together are so fantastic and feel nature - and nobody thinks: may l help? No, they do! In my surrounding there are 2 single people and 1 family where l can feel well. I hoped to be with you having such a light day, too! I at least had one outside of my mother and son life ab. 5 years before from time to time and singe then only in the hours my best friend's family is together twice a year for around 3 hours but l whished the world for beeing included all people for who and how they are! I pray for you not leaving power and encourage and l thank to the LORD that there you are and that l could watch this, crying for sadness but happiness of your doing! Be blessed, you all!

Hi Conny and thanks for this lovely message. Sounds like you have a quite a journey with your own health, and sorry to hear about all the pain. We are so glad that you enjoyed being apart of this journey, particularly when Hudson helped teach Zachie how to use his wheelchair. Love and blessings to you

What a great day. The zoo is a great activity to do together while friendship blossoms. No wonder the boys got on, they are all cheeky, wild, gorgeous animals. Lol. So great to have a tribe to call your own, especially if one gets exactly what you go/have gone through. Another amazing video💜💜💜💜❤️❤️❤️❤️

I just found your channel and I love it. I am a college student in the United States I am in my second year of my undergraduate in child and family development with an emphasis in child life hoping to become a certified child life specialist (also known as a play therapist in the UK and Australia) then go to medical school or I will become a physician. Where I will work with kids with cerebral palsy and the diseases and complications that come along with it. I myself was born at 24 weeks gestation and spent 5 1/2 months in the neonatal intensive care unit I also have cerebral palsy from a grade 3/4 bilateral interventricular hemorrhage. I also underwent selective dorsal rhizotomy when I was four years old. This was performed by a surgeon in St. Louis Missouri Dr. TS Park. He is world renowned for selective dorsal rhizotomy and has done over 4000 cases. I love that your boys do not let there disabilities hold them back. It is also encouraging to see that thru found someone else who is like them to be friends with at a young age. I was not that lucky and it is an isolating feeling to be the only one with a disability.

Hi there Christian. Thanks for sharing a bit of your journey. I hope your studies are going well. We have come across quite a few play therapists in the hospitals while we are traveling... such important work!!
We initially thought to go to have the SDR done in St Louis as Dr Park is most renowned internationally, but it didnt end up working out as an option for us.
