    ---ABOUT NORTHWOODS---
We are a few regular guys with regular 8-5 day jobs that stop at nothing to chase big fish anywhere this may take us. This passion occupies our minds constantly and propels us to chase our dreams, usually up and down a river.
Fishing has always been something each of us has been passionate about. So passionate that we find ourselves juggling 50 hour work weeks, families and the sport we love in order to put out great content. Our sole purpose is to catch big fish and have a great time doing it. We will document each step of the way as best we can to capture the beauty of the places we go and the raw emotion tied to catching these big fish!

The flathead around me are such light biters 99.9% of the time and have to really pay attention to your gear and once you are on em you'll definitely be hooked to chasing after them the rest of your living days and there's nothing that beat trophy flathead in my opinion!

Have you tried the Mississippi between the Red Wing dam and Lake Pepin? Monster fish! There are also monster fish in Lake Pepin but they are harder to track down. But, if you want some smaller cats for eating, there are a lot of good spots on the lake.

Dude you remember that magic night in my boat when we couldn't keep up with the rods? The fish were hitting so hard the rods were trying to fly overboard and we kept catching them mid-air? I'll never forget that spot... it was insane.
And you landed a 27" walleye out of my boat. That makes 3 walleye over 27" that were landed while I was in the boat, 2 of which were actually in MY boat... because Jeff landed one in the exact same spot you did a week later.

    • @NorthwoodsAngling

We do eat some smaller ones on occasion.... but after a night of fishing until 1 or 2 AM we never want to clean fish - its just pack up and get home to get some sleep before work in the morning! lol

Northwoods Angling I live in northern Missouri and fish the Missouri River and Bullheads are the best flathead bait known to man. Only thing here is they limit us to 9 inch bullhead to use as bait now but they still are the best. I've used 15 inchers befor they changed the rules. It limited the number of bites but you knew if you got one it was on. I've had 5 pounders inhale a 9 incher. Great video and I'm gona sub. Keep your lines wet and your powder dry!
