Hey mate I'm an apprentice and I have a kit of milwaukee power tools, should I just stick with the same platform for weekend side jobs to reduce extra battery platforms or go for a different brand for that sorta stuff? Because obviously milwaukee stuff is dearer but I already got six batteries for it
I am thinking of having trailers custom made to my spec’s ( there is a great trailer company here in GA.. “Down2Earth “ trailers.. going to get them to make trailers exactly how I want ( with or without rear gate/ramps.. SINGLE axle.. 5,000 or 7,500 w/brakes.. reinforce the frame.... but.., a one of a kind, lightweight bin for leaves, etc.. ( to go with a 18-28HP Billy Goat debris Vac) with room up front...60” for a 54/52” mower..) with Green Touch racks, welded on. But.. basically a cutting trailer design, and a leaf vac trailer.. or for a walker. Side ramp can optionally be on hydraulics, but the dump is hydraulic, and rear door is optional hydraulic as well.. comes with custom racks for LC2 gas cans, and a custom rack for water cooler(included also) ... oh, and an optional lift arm to lift the mower to change blades..
What are the handles you are running on the shindi trimmer? They don't look like the ones on the shindi website. Are they kawasaki handles? I've been trying to find them everywhere.
Darren's Mowing thanks for that mate it works well for me.Next I’d like to enclose the front to keep my machines out of the weather. Where are you from? I’ll have to checkout your vid.
Hey Thomas awesome to hear your having a crack at 15yrz old mate!! Hey I think one of the best thing you can do is make friends with other mower people in your area & try to find out what the going rate is & stick to that. Just because your young doesn’t mean your work is cheaper. As long as you do a quality job every single time than you should be paid the same as any older man. Also always but the best quality equipment that you can afford. It will save you time & make mowing a lot easier & more enjoyable. All the best mate :)

So good. Thanks for sharing. Was that a custom trailer? Do you find the need to see behind the trailer for reversing. I have been considering installing a wireless reversing camera. To help in (newbie) reversing, do you think its needed, or just a waste of money. I also was wondering about a gps tracker, so that I could find my trailer if it was pinched. Any thoughts, or am I over thinking this?
Hey Chris yeh mate it’s a custom made trailer. Mate I’ve asked a camera guy 6 mths ago to supply me a camera & lead to plug into my stereo . But he hasn’t come to do it yet. I think a camera is a great idea . I can not see behind me. My trailer is wider than the car. If I need to back the car up I have to get out & look or get my passenger to spot me. An Apple tracker would be a good idea I reckon .
@@reubtube2463 since my comment. I can honestly say I'm no longer a novice, the amount of times I've had to back my mower trailer in the tip and my driveway I'm very confident in it. That said my auto mechanic said to not bother with wireless cameras the distance to the back of the trailer is too far and there's a lot of interference. What he did recommend which he does for RVs is to wire several cameras to the rear of the trailer and then through a loom plug to the car. Which in turn he wires up to a rear mirror display. He sets it so that it only comes on when he turns on the Parker lights, that way it's not engaged by reverse only like other cameras. This means that whilst driving during the day you can have your Parker's on, and see the traffic behind you and when you change lanes on the freeway you have. More visibility.
Hey sorry I just had a look & realised it is what’s calked a TPE mower which is basically exactly the same as the Honda hru 216 it even has the Honda engine. My other 3 are all genuine Honda’s.
Nice set up mate. Efficiency certainly is the key. You mentioned that you feel you can prune more with the battery hedge trimmer, is that because it’s lighter? Or what do you feel is the key to the battery hedge trimmer opposed to petrol? We are looking into the husky battery range and keen to get some insight from you guys who are already using them.
Thankyou Gecko lawns . Hey I find the battery hedger just seems to cut quicker . Like the blades are moving faster I assume & it seems to cut most leaves in one sweep instead of multiple with the petrol machine. Also lighter & no vibration which also helps to wear your arms out. Just an all round awesome machine!!

Hi John thanks for your question mate. we usually have 3 different price ranges for house blocks starting at $55 $66 & $77 all including gst (general sales tax) Small houses in my estate are sometimes $55 but most front & back lawns are $66 if I can do quickly & easily with my walker zero turn. If there’s a bunch of push mowing or whipper snipping such as a path out front & or concrete driveways with a strip of concrete for each tyre this adds to the whipper snipping & it may push it up into the $77 range . We will often go up to $77 where I can’t get my 42” zero turn into the back yard. My goal is to try & 1 & a half to 2 lawns per hr & if anyone asks for my hourly price I aim to make atleast $100 per hour but I can do that because I have expensive equipment that allows me to cover a lot more ground in one hour & so just as good if not better job than sone one with a push mower . A new version of my petrol mower sells here in Australia currently for $37000 & add $10k on top of that for my deisel walker mower. Hope this helps .
