after playing kh1 for 12 years, i JUST finally beat it on proud. level 50 full equipment and it was still hard, took me like 5 tries. i honestly don’t see how it would be possible on level 1. seph and bosses like that are one thing, but in battles like this it’s just so many enemies that do unpredictable things. couldn’t even imagine

I think it was very difficult to top the ambience of fighting in a world consumed by the darkness of the heartless. Kingdom Hearts 2 did a solid with their "world that never was" but after the fight with the Chernolbolg in Kingdom Hearts, what else is there!?
I agree. I was hoping KH3 would have an FFVI-style “World of Ruin” scenario after Master Xehanort opened KH. If all the worlds were consumed by darkness, it would have given us a great opportunity to play as all the Guardians. Roxas, Axel and Xion could have gone to defend Twilight Town; Terra, Aqua and Ven the Land of Departure; Mickey, Donald and Goofy the Disney worlds; Sora and Riku the Destiny Islands. All coming together in the end to find a way into Kingdom Hearts to confront Xehanort. It would have been such a cool third act.
@@iggyp4390 As much as I liked and enjoy Kingdom Hearts 3 I much prefer this and KH 2 due to more content and much darker and atmospheric tone especially the soundtrack too.
If you guys are struggling against the waves of enemies before Final Rest, make sure you always have Aero casted on you and you should be good for the most part. It might seem obvious but Aero is your best friend (;

I'm sad we never really got to see the Invisibles and Angel Stars again after KH1, if not the Angel Stars then at least the Invisbles should have been in The World that Never Was.
I feel like Fragments of Sorrow pulls influence from '40s Disney's fixation on classical music. In that regard, Yoko Shimomura did her homework big time.
I mean both Guardando nel Buio (World of Chaos's theme, which is also the best of Ansem's themes in my opinion) and this song are variations of the track "Destati", so it's no wonder you'd associate the two with each other.
It also plays in the first one I can’t remember when though. I think it’s the area before you fight ansem and you have to fight the overpowered buff demon dudes with the swords and the behemoths.
Now just imagine Sora fighting Master Hand and Crazy Hand with Duck hunt as support (representing Donald and Goofy) at the end of his Classic mode with this song playing that would be cool
For everyone being disappointed about the short song list for Sora in Smash I get it, but do try to remember how Cloud only got 2 songs initially, and was only able to get more after Sephiroth joined, which still wasn't any less of a hassle due to all the copyright & licensing crap with Square/other composers. It was probably the same for stuff like this

I've got PTSD from this song. Being under levelled against those final 6 waves of heartless whilst playing Proud mode blind on my first playthrough was a harrowing experience. Sadly I couldn't make it through underlevelled. I mean, by wave 5, Tinker bell was gone, all my items where gone, Donald was down, Goofy had no mp, and I myself only had 2MP left. My hp went down to 1 From 2 hits and I die to a third. Ànd then the 6th wave appears. I was like "nope, I'm done, these waves usually come in 5 but here's a 6th one, I spent 3 hours to get to this point, no more" Went back after 15 level ups and wiped them, and actually thinking about synthesising and using equipment.
I can't believe this is in smash bros! So wild.... Gonna just put something down below the read more to test if I can edit my youtube posts, and for how long afterwards. A shard of Darkness lies here. EDIT: Should have known. Still, good to test every once in a while.

Level 55 is pretty good for those worlds. It comes down to your equipment.
